Brittany felt so happy now that things had been worked out with Evan and herself. She had been on the fence about going bowling since the whole thing with Syn, but now that it was all sorted out, she figured she'd go. The only thing was that she'd told Eddie that she'd hang out with him on Sunday.
Now, normally Brittany had no problem hanging out with Eddie. She liked Eddie. He was really cool. But Aly had said something about Eddie liking Brit and considering what had happened when Evan hadn't been aware that Syn liked him...it made Brit a little nervous about hanging out with Eddie. But Eddie had never asked her out and he'd never tried to kiss her. If anything he'd only ever been helpful, so she figured that it wouldn't hurt to invite him bowling. Hey, maybe if she was lucky, Eddie and her friends would hit it off and they could all be friends.
Brittany quickly sent a text to him: "Hey, you still up for bowling later? Let me know."

Eddie's phone buzzed, and he reached down into his pocket to see who was texting him. Seeing Brit's name, he was both excited and disappointed, as it wasn't Jude. To be honest, he had completely forgotten that the girl was supposed to be calling him today. Jude was currently about the only thing on his mind. Still, the previous days events meant that Eddie would just have to ignore the crush on Brit he had and just focus on being a friend to her.
He was slightly confused by her message. She had said she wasn't going to the bowling, he had thought. Eddie wasn't so sure he wanted to go, either, so he was hoping she'd just want to hang out. It wouldn't be a bad opportunity to ask the girl for advice about Jude, either. She knew his story, and perhaps she might have some insights on what he should do now. But there was no way he'd talk to her about that at bowling, especially since he had already gotten a weird vibe from her boyfriend and his friends. Was he going to be there? Was it going to be awkward? Probably. Eddie didn't want to have to deal with any of that. His response was short.
Sorry, don't think I'll make it. What are you up to later? Let me know if you want to hang.
