She woke up moaning. Not even in a good way. Yesterday's memories weighed heavily in her mind and she was frustrated over why that was. Dragging herself to her toilet, she filled her tub with hot water and immersed herself in it for a long time.
May's accusing voice filled her ears, Nolan's hurt look burned into her eyes and poor Bree's helpless expression damn near broke her heart...if it was even there in the first place. She could handle hurting people who haven't been with her for more than a month or a year but Bree had practically been there her whole life. She shouldn't have allowed the fiasco to have even begun.
God, what was she thinking?
Ah right...she wasn't. All she knew was that she felt good with the two very different but equally attractive individuals. One made her feel protective over her and the other made her heart race for him like no one else ever did. And she ruined it. With both of them. She knew May was going to be there and Nolan had asked her to go with him. They were bound to bump into each other...
A loud knock on the door snapped Sloane out of her maddening thoughts which didn't seem to go anywhere else but the look on Nolan's face. "What?" she called out, unaware of her lack of voice.
"You okay in there? Been awfully long in there..."
It was Davey and she knew a concerned voice when she heard one. "I'm fine, man. Just loving the bubbles." She assured her eldest brother after clearing her throat. She could hear him hesitate but he left anyway. She sighed inaudibly and finished up her shower and dressed into a grey loose wife beater under a rolled up faded fitted blue denim shirt with cut off jeans and sneakers before tying her hair up into a messy ponytail.
The whole family was at the breakfast table and they all stared at her. "What?" she grabbed a piece of toast and slathered jam all over it. "You're covering...stuff." Loch commented.
"I'm capable of modesty if you hadn't noticed." She pressed her cheek against her mother's in an affectionate greeting before doing the same to her aunt and father. "I'm going out. See you."
"But it's Sunday," most everyone automatically. She stopped walking and turned. "Sometimes it's just nice to be alone." She shrugged and from there, the whole Taylor family knew there was something wrong with their youngest member of the family.
She didn't even realise she had walked so long until she found herself at the mall. Her toast was gone and she wiped her mouth of the crumbs before going into the almost empty mall. Mostly filled with mothers with their energetic kids on the indoor carousel and robot animals, the mall was still half closed. Sloane sighed and looked for a cafe to get herself into a buzz in the morning. She remembered suddenly that she was supposed to attend a charity auction at the Edwards' family's house. Screw it... she grimaced as she ordered a tall espresso with an extra double shot.
The cute waiter behind the counter looked at her sympathetically. "Rough night last night?" he asked with a patronising grin. Sloane shrugged while taking out a few bills out of her back pocket. She realised she hadn't even brought her phone with her. "Well, fuck." she grumbled before slapping the money on the counter. "Wish this was a bar." She mumbled to herself before walking to an empty seat and sat down heavily. "Stupid emotions." She sighed and waited for her coffee.
When it came, she took a long sip, ignoring how scalding hot it was. At least she could still feel something instead of the numbness she had been going through the past few hours. She didn't even realise the person staring at her. And she usually did.

Jay knew what he saw with DJ and the chick. And it was something. Sure it could be innocent, but the fact was DJ followed the girl home and disappeared inside the girls house. Jay did not care the explanation, it looked bad no matter what. No one follows someone home, friend or not, unless its for a reason. Of course only one reason came to mind for Jay. After looking at the girl, Jay could not blame DJ for wanting to sex that woman all night long. Trixie would pay the price, but then again she did decide to trust the baboon. Jay decided to let Trixie be. He tried to tell her and she refused to believe it. Well she would soon learn. Even if DJ claimed to be just friend with the woman, Jay had faith it was only a matter of time before DJ cheated with the foxy lady. Who wouldn't. No one could ever be just friends with that woman. Of course with Jay there was only one thing on his mind. He was a guy after. What did someone expect? Jay was far from the kind to keep it in his pants. Hence the lack of relationship. That woman, and girls like Sloane, well they were meant to enjoy in bed. Jay was out in the horrible weather. He could not be cooped up. That was a shame. He made his way to some cafe, he was hungry and it was lunch. He needed food. Jay made his way inside and ordered a large coffee and some sort of sandwich thing. Then he took a seat in the corner thinking. Which was dangerous for Jay.
Things were so screwed up. His best friend, his sister, Trixie hated him now. Why did she not understand he was just trying to protect her. There was no such thing as young love or a good guy in the universe. After all, the one person who was suppose to protect Jay, meaning his father, had betrayed him. If you could not trust your own parents, then who could you trust...no one...no one except the one person who went through it with you...for Jay that was Trix and now the giant had taken that.
So Jay needed a distraction. Soon things would go back to normal. Soon things would be like they once were. So for now Jay was going to find a lovely lady and distract himself. It was his lucky day as he heard a voice fill the air. No one could mistake that voice. The beautiful Sloane Taylor. What a lovely name. Jay looked up and watched her for a moment.
Finally he stood and walked over quietly. She was breath taking. He smiled as he tapped her on the shoulder, "Its a shame to see such a look and your pretty face."

Hating the sudden interruption and also how jumpy she currently was, Sloane tried to keep her cool when she turned to face the intruder though the voice was unmistakably one she could never forget. Sloane had always chosen her conquests well, usually avoiding those who were of the same caliber as her; Jasper Hastings, Tyler Durnham, Xavier Goodwin - although this boy was someone she was seriously considering to bone soon enough if he actually knew of her existence - and of course, the culprit in question now...Jayson Michaels.
She regarded him as she would Tyler although not so intimately respectful. He was a pretty good guy if anyone took any bother to really get to know him. He played her game well and on several occasions, she almost went to bed with him. That of course had to change. Her tastes had to change. Screw Nolan. Screw Maysan. She was Sloane fucking Taylor. They should be grateful she even gave them the time of day.
"Jayson Michaels...just the man I was looking for." The smirk on her face stretched into a genuine smile of relief. "Although...what the hell are you doing here on a Sunday? Aren't you supposed to still be passed out from a night of partying last night?" She chuckled, pulling out a chair for him to sit.

Jay took the offered seat and offered Sloane a smile. Now he had no clue what happened at the brunch. Hell he had no idea Sloane had been involved with two other people. In Jay's eyes Sloane had been available the whole time and he had to wait for the right time to get her into his or her bed. Which ever was better and more convenient. "I am usually not so frightened by those words, but coming from your lips, scares me and excites me at the same time." Yes his words meant to imply just what they did. He gave her a boyish grin as he lightly pushed some hair off her shoulder, "Let's just say I had to be awake early, in order to take care of an important matter." Jay left it at that. Sloane could use her imagination.
The good thing about Sloane was she had a sharp wit to go with her sharp tongue. A trait Jay admired. The girl was just like him on so many levels. There was more then meets the eye. It was why he had not tried to sleep with her before. The game was too much fun. "I should be asking you the same question? Word has it you know how to party yourself."
He motioned for a refill for his coffee, "I need the caffeine. Just cause I had an early morning, does not mean I did not have a late night. So tell me Ms. Taylor, just what has been going on in your life? I must say thank you. Our last encounter proved to be quite informative. I still must repay you for that." This time his smile went from boyish to wicked.

Sloane smirked at Jay's words, refraining from rolling her eyes at his ease in flirting. "I'm really sure that's the case," she replied to his comment about her choice of words. Of course, they weren't the kind of words she often used when it came to the opposite sex unless they were her brothers. As it were, she really needed a guy like Jay to relieve the tension she found was bursting to get out the only way it knew how.
Taking care of important matters to Sloane just meant Jay wanted her to bugger off on the subject, which she respected and quite relieved he wouldn't share. She wasn't about to listen to some guy bitch about his life, not her. Especially not now. So of course she just left it hanging. When the question was reverted to her, she raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Like you don't know how I operate." She chided teasingly, knowing he was always at the receiving end of that partying persona she was notoriously known for. Among other things.
"Let's just say I was kept awake at odd hours and just thought I needed coffee to function for the day." She shrugged and let Jay interpret that as he saw fit. "What has been going on in my life?" She chuckled at the absurdity of the question. Word would not have leaked about the brunch unless someone actually heard what went over outside the hotel doors. As far as Sloane was concerned, their voices were controlled so if people found out about Sloane's indiscretion, it was not her doing.
"Oh the usual. Had to break a poor girl's heart. Oh and a boy's too. At the same time. No biggie." She shrugged all nonchalant but there was a pang in her heart that irritated her only because she had never felt it before until Nolan. Stupid Nolan. Who the hell was he to make her feel pangs in her heart? It just wasn't fair.
She laughed at Jay's verbal gratitude. "You must. It just doesn't seem fair for me to have given you so much information without being compensated." She leaned forward in her chair, planting her chin in her cupped hand. Looking at Jay, Sloane smirked lightly. "What form of payment did you have in mind?"

Jay smirked when she talked about breaking hearts, "If that's the case I do not feel sorry for the two of them." Jay was a bastard. "I actually feel lucky. Breaking hearts is hard to do and something I do not envy, but I do admire it." Many people could take easy offense to that comment. Of course Jay had no idea how Sloane would react, but either way Jay knew he would like it. He loved a feisty girl that kept him guessing. That was half the fun.
"I know what kind of payment I would love to repay you with, but um....I think I would much rather have that pretty head tell me instead." He leaned forward and lightly trailed one of his fingers from her thigh to her knee. If he got slapped at least it was worth the touch. She had soft skin. Just perfect.
"Although do take it easy on me. I have a feeling you might be a lot to handle." He let out a low chuckle. Of course he loved hard to handle females. He was just curious what she would say to such a comment. One thing about Sloane is she never failed to disappoint. "I agree about the caffeine though. My day is just beginning and I need the jump start, cause I am hoping this day will prove to be quite fun and stress relieving." Which Jay could totally use.
It was too stressful. Damn Trixie and dame the giant and all this crap. Jay should not give a fucking crap and he should just let it be. Well for today that's exactly what he was going to do. instead he would focus on Sloane and hopefully getting her to help relieve the stress he was feeling.

"I don't feel sorry for them either. They should have known from the start how I was. I have no decency to stay with one person...what is with people and thinking they can change the unchangeable?" Sloane had to laugh at the absurdity of it all. Mostly to make the pain go away not knowing that emotions are kind of hard to laugh away.
The intimate touch from Jay jolted her to the present and made her all too aware of the itch she was so ready to scratch. It was a natural high for her being with another person. And she was having withdrawal symptoms already by just that touch alone. Her eyes fluttered shut for only a moment before she grabbed his arm from going any further. Taking a deep breath, she focused the attention she had left on Jay as she bit her lower lip.
"Mr Michaels...have some scruples. Public displays of lust just isn't worth the drama from old people around here." She had to strain her voice from getting too squeaky, which made it that much huskier. Managing to push his hand off her knee, she crossed her legs tight before smirking at her counterpart. "Well...I'd much rather let another head do the talking."
Sloane again had to laugh at Jay's words. "Oh if I were any other girl, Jay." She shook her head at his comment about her being too much to handle. She was definitely well aware of that. Even two people couldn't handle just one of her, what made Jay think he could? Although it would be well worth it to find out how Jay is in bed. If he could at least make her forget for just a few minutes about her stupid dilemma, she'd know just how much Jay can really handle.
"So now the question on everybody's mind is...what exactly are we supposed to do about this...?" she gestured between the two of them with a devil may care smirk, her one leg hiking up Jay's jeans right up between his thighs. "Making sudden moves just isn't a right thing to do at this point."

"I could not agree more. I dot not understand people who want to change someone. If you ask me...if someone is trying to change you, then they must not like you." Jay said with a smirk, "Trix and I were having a similar conversation. I tried to convince her that changing just for someone is not worth it. Now if you want to change that's a different story, but I don't see anything wrong with you Sloane. Nothing at all." Jay winked.
He smiled when she stopped his hand. He slowly pulled it back and locked eyes with her. The intensity of his gaze seemed to match hers. He had a need, a desire he needed to fulfill. Something only Sloane Taylor could take care of. He could handle her. He was sure he could take her at least in the bedroom.
"Please these old people were young once. They probably envy us." Jay told her with a devilish grin and a wicked twinkle in his eye. Oh this was good. Really good. He shift slightly when she talked about another heard. "Another head...right...I am sure that could be arranged.." His gaze trailed down her body then back up to give off a certain meaning.
He leaned forward enjoying the change her voice seemed to take. When she asked what they should do, well one thing came to mind. "I could make a few suggestions. Both end the same way, the only problem is the location. Bathroom, car, hotel, my room...your room. Take your pick." He meant exactly what he said too. He did not care how she responded, but the offer was out there.
He would not take it back or change his mind. Her leg running up his thigh made him move closer. His fingers reached out to touch some of her soft hair, then trailed down her arm as he spoke in a soft, but husky voice, "Which ever you pick...there will be nothing sudden about it." He told her with a wink.

"Damn straight. See this is why you and I...well we're pretty happy not being in relationships. They just take too much effort and time." With the mention of his sister's name, Sloane wondered if the girl was ever going to make an appearance in Sloane's life for screwing over her boyfriend. She decided not to worry about that for now. It just wasn't worth her time to be thinking of other people's feelings.
"And watch it there, Michaels...words like that...trying to make me fall for you?" Sloane smirked with no intentions of following through that threat.
The look on Jay's face was enough to make Sloane shiver in all the right places and she was just about ready to jump him. Especially when he listed out the possibilities for their pending 'adventure'. Her eyes fluttered close when Jay played with her hair and made her goosebumps rise at his touch.
Her ability to answer flew straight out the window with Jay's ending sentence. It took her awhile to arrange her thoughts. "I think there's a store room back here. It could probably fit us. Unless you want to go all romantic on me. There's a hotel about five blocks from here."
She got up, almost knocking the table over in her rush and she walked out of the cafe, ignoring looks from a few parents with children who probably heard her conversation with Jay. She patted the childrens' heads and gave the parents a little wave before exiting the cafe, not waiting for Jay to catch up with her.

Jay laughed at the idea of Sloane falling for him. "I have a feeling, I don't need to worry about you falling for me. Which is why this friendship is perfect." Sloane was a beautiful and intelligent woman. Jay would love to have her as his partner in crime from today to tomorrow to years from now. However, that would not happen. Cause Jay Michaels does not fall in love. All he has are friends with benefits, cause thats the way to live.
He shivered as he touched her. He could feel his body reacting. How many times had he wished to have Sloane on top of him. He would love to prove he could handle Ms. Taylor. Jay had a feeling she was good in every way. Plus he heard the reputation. Just by looking at her, well...he could not even blame DJ for sleeping with the woman. She was gorgeous.
"I like the way you think." He smirked as he watched her get up. Jay followed shortly after. Damn he loved looking at her from behind. She was something in that outfit. Jay caught up with her easily." My car is this way." He told her softly. He led her to the car and even opened the door for her.
It did not take that long to find a decent hotel. "I think you deserve this. We both deserve a nice big bed." He told her. Jay parked, walked in and got a room with a ring bed and a nice shower. He planned to defiantly spend at least one night there. He had a feeling after Sloane he would not want to leave. Jay led Sloane to the room. He opened it up and led her inside.
Once they were both inside Jay closed the door and locked it, then pulled Sloane to him pushing her against the wall kissing her. "I was not sure I could have waited in that cafe another minute without taking you." He smiled and kissed her again. He was ready to shed clothes and take the woman.
