The day before had been nice, getting out of the house and spending some time without anyone watching over her shoulder, making sure that she wasn't gonna fall to pieces. She had also managed to get some new clothes, which always made a girl feel better.
Marc and Cindy had taken her out for breakfast before they had both gone to church. Neither of them had forced Skye to go, but had invited her. It wasn't that Skye didn't believe in God, it was more the belief that one did not need to go to church in order to be heard. They'd left Skye down on the boardwalk, passing her some money. Both adults seemed to be just what the young woman needed. They were kind and caring, not pushy and most of all, they actually seemed to want her around. It made her happy.
Clad in a new outfit of a short black lace mini dress and calf high boots, Skye was glad that the stores she was in were indoors at the moment. It was raining something wicked. Good thing Carc had given her money for a cab in case she wanted to leave before they got out of church.
Even if she wasn't buying anything at the moment, it was still nice to get out. She'd left Nate a text telling him where she was in case he wanted to meet up.

Nate was being lazy on this day. it was one of those days, you did not want to go outside in. It was better to tay under the covers and sleep as you listened to the rain. Actually it was a nice sound. The rain was soothing. But the familiar ring that said he had a text made Nate's head pop up. He opened his phone and saw a text from Skye.
This brought a smile to Nate's face and he quickly texted back, "See you soon." He put his phone back on the table and went to take a shower and get ready. Going out in the rain might be worth it now. Only Trix and Skye could ever get Nate out into the rain. Nate finally got dressed in jeans, tennis shoes and a long sleeve Abercrombie and Fitch shirt. He grabbed his jacket and umbrella and told Trixie and Jay he was leaving, but those two were fighting again...
Nate ran to his car as fast as he could with the umbrella, which really did not do much. Seriously what good was an umbrella unless they covered everything. His feet still got wet. Nate drove to where Sky said she was and he got out, attmepting to use the umbrella again and walked to where he could meet Skye. His feet were still wet. Stupid umbrella. He walked into the store and spotted Skye. "Hey beautiful." He smiled at her.

Skye was currently checking out a new dance store that had opened recently. At the moment, her knee was screwed. There was a good possibility that she may never dance again on the professional level that she had once been close to. The very thought made her sad, but she knew that even if she could not dance as a career, she would still dance for the sheer love of it.
She had several bodysuits and tights over the chair she was sitting in. Since she was unable to use both feet at the moment, Skye only had one one pointe shoe. One was good enough to get a proper fit anyway. With one hand on the back of another chair, Skye moved up on pointe and was like that when Nate came in, greeting her. "hey there yourself." She smiled. "Wasn't sure if I was gonna see you today."
Holding a hand out to him for balance, Skye let go of the chair, wincing just a tiny bit at the strain in her center at the movement. "So do I get to have you for today?" she asked her hottie of a boyfriend. "Or are you dashing off to somewhere else?"

"I am always yours. No matter the day. Unless Trix needs my body, or her hot boyfriend, then I might have to decline." Nate said laughing as he helped to steady Skye. "I am only kidding." Nate was a jokster at heart. He beleived in smiling and jaying more. Jay really needed to lighten up some how. All this crap between him and Trixie was not good. Nate did not see it ending well.
"So besides shopping, what are yo plans for the day gorgeous." Nate asked Skye as he nuzzled her neck a little and left a kiss. He pulled back and smiled at her. He was glad to be out of the house where it was so filled with fighting. Although Trixie and Jay fighting was amusing, but not this time. "Besides I needed out. Trixie and Jay got into again this morning. Apparently Jay saw DJ with some chick last night. So of course he made it seem to Trixie like DJ was cheating. i swear they are their own soap opera."
Nate was glad he was not invovled in all that. it was a nice break to be the one in a semi functional relationship. After all what relationship was really that functional at such a young age. "I wish Jay would drop it. DJ has actually been good for Trix."
