Every Sunday the Zouvelekis clan faithfully attended Mass, and every Sunday Trenton wished fervently that the priest would refrain from using incense during the service; the cloying smell was bad enough, but it also gave him a throbbing headache. The incense was his only complaint about Mass, however, and he was the only member of the brood who didn't sulk at being dragged off to Church every week. In fact, he rather enjoyed Church, from the chanting to the dancing at parties to the mysterious ceremony and very much wanted to become an alter server when he was an adult -- as their particular Church only allowed adults to serve in that capacity.
Today the Zouvelekis tribe was rather more depleted than normal, as Uncle James had caused such a commotion that Dorian and Sibyl hadn't had time to wake all their children in time, so Brandon was allowed to sleep in and Dena's absence hadn't yet been noted. Even after they'd returned home and Brandon was forcibly roused from his sleep by their mother, who was apparently intent on punishing him for skipping Mass, nobody made any comment on Dena.
"I'm going out okay bye!!" Trenton shouted to the house at large, escaping out the door while still in his Church clothes, only pausing to grab an umbrella propped up against the front door -- Uncle James', as a matter of fact, but Trenton didn't really care at that moment.
A fallen branch in the mud beside the sidewalk outside their neighbor's house was too tempting to pass up, and he bent down to retrieve it, happily meandering down the street trailing the stick behind him until he arrived at the park, which had a lovely chain link fence that begged him to drag his stick along it, which he was more than willing to do, splashing in puddles with complete disregard for the very nice clothes he was wearing.
One particularly big puddle found him plunging wildly, muddy water spraying all across the sidewalk and soaking another hapless pedestrian. Trenton paused to survey the damage to his unintended victim; his own trousers were now far too muddy for him to even care what the splash had done to them. "Oops. Sorry 'bout that."

Reese was out she had just gotten breakfast with her mother. Her mother wanted to go over and see some of her friends and Reese had no interest in going with her. After kissing her cheek and putting out the tip she put on her coat and grabbed her purse. She was walking home along the park, her mind was on what to get into that day. She had shopped yesterday so she wanted to do something different. The beach would be a mess with last nights rain so that was out.
As she was walking along her mind on her day she felt water splash all up her bare legs. To top it off it was muddy water. She made a disgusted face as she looked at her legs and then looked at the kid. He had to be a freashmen and she gave him the meanest, evilist glare she had. "What what you are doing loser" she growled. "You are so a freshmen to do such childish acts" she looking at her shoes and sighed. "I hope you know you just ruined a 200 pair of shoes" she said. "It took me months to find them, the only pair in the L.A area" she siad. "You are so going to pay for this." She wanted to cry her shoes were ruined and that means she would have to order from Pairs directly and that took about three months to get them, maybe she could get her daddy to make it go faster.

"Sorry," Trenton repeated meekly, dropping his stick hastily. The girl was very pretty, and obviously very upset that he'd gotten her shoes muddy; he knew exactly how upset Sarissa or Serena would be if he'd splashed mud on their shoes, and visions of his two elder sisters groping for him in anger made him take a step backwards, out of reach of the irate female in case she decided to smack him with her purse.
"I'll buy you another pair," He offered, guilt causing the words to spill out before his mind had a chance to catch back up. Once it had he wondered what he'd been thinking; he couldn't afford a $200 pair of shoes! His parents saw all the money from their now canceled television show, and even then raising nine children wasn't cheap. And he wouldn't have an easy time swaying them to let him borrow that much, either, not when they saw what he'd done to the suit he was currently wearing. He couldn't very well take back his offer now, though, so he gave the girl an awkward grin, hoping that would help defuse the situation.
"But I am a Freshman, so I can be forgiven for acting like one, right? I'm Trenton. Trenton Zouvelekis." He fully expected her to recognize the Zouvelekis name -- most of his classmates did, even if they hadn't ever actually watched their show.

"You should be sorry, they are one of a kind. Now I have to wait for months to get another pair from Pairs where they are made" she said. She hoped no hot guys would go by and see her looking like a mess. Of course that could work in her favor and they want to rescue her from this mess and this loser. She heard him talking and rolled her eyes. She did not believe him when he said he would pay for her shoes. Sure he had on nice clothes but he was not young enough to have a job and a kid like him she coud not believe anything he said. He was obviously just trying to appease her.
"Yeah and?" she asked when he said his name. She knew the name but she really did not care. The name did not give him any leway with her. "Your last name is not important" she said. And she did not even let him know hers, he had to earn that, of course he most likely knew it if he went to school. She has already made her mark on her school and on the mixed schools. "I am sure you know my name already so I don't need to say it. And damn it I wish I had a towel" she groaned and looked at her legs. "Now I need to go home and shower again and get this crap off my legs. For now on freshmen watch what you are doing" she gave him her ice queen, queen B stare.

Trenton shuffled nervously back a few more paces. "O....okay." He promised when she ordered him to watch where he was going, though in reality that was a difficult promise for him to keep. He was more likely to forget he'd made any such promised than he was to modify his behavior.
He really didn't recognize her, and was surprised that she thought he should. He knew a few of the Seniors, because they were very popular or friends with his older siblings, but he certainly didn't make a point of knowing them. He didn't talk to that many people outside his own family, and he certainly wouldn't have chosen to approach a gorgeous blonde on his own. He didn't realize that she was a Silver student; perhaps if he'd been more familiar with the Silver crowd he would have made the connection, but he wasn't and so he didn't.
"Oh. Umm. Oh. Yeah. Okay, then. Sorry." Trenton was fairly certain he'd said sorry about a hundred times now. "The rain will wash it off?" He suggested uncertainly. He highly doubted she'd go for that idea, but he was also sure that nobody could stay muddy with the rain pouring down the way it was. Even his umbrella failed to keep him entirely dry, though perhaps the fact that he was being quite careless about keeping it over head had something to do with that.

"The rain" Reese said incrdeuoulsy. "The rain can wash me clean" she repeated calmly and slowly. And anyone who knew her knew she was reaching her breaking point. This boy this child was acting like he had no idea what to say her and that was good. Maybe he will remember to watch out for her now. He was not making a good impression on her, she could not even use him and make him do her bidding like she would with some of the younger boys. "Perhaps I might as well go through the car wash then" she said dryly. "I do not stand in the rain to get clean, that is what losers do, or people who don't care about how they look" she said.
She knew her blue eyes were icy and was glad, he needed to learn his place and it was clear his place was not in the popular crowd and will not ever be. She did know of his older sisters and they were popular so that made them good to go in her book. "I can clearly tell you do not take after your sisters" she said a eyebrow arched up. "They are cool and popular and well your not and keep up acting this way and you won't ever be." She wanted a towel to wipe her legs off so bad and she knew that she would not be getting one anytime soon.

"Welllll....." Trenton shrugged when Reese suggested the car wash. "I mean, maybe?" There was potential for great hilarity in a human going through a car wash, assuming that the employees at the wash itself didn't put a halt to that idea immediately.
Another step backwards found the boy flat against the gate, the chains biting into the back of his coat. "I'm not....I'm not my sisters. I don't wanna be!" He protested. He had nothing against Sarissa and Serena, but he had no desire to follow in their footsteps, and had no desire for more popularity than he already had. The triplets thrived on popularity, wanted the attention because they had been in the shadow of their younger siblings for so long. The quintuplets, however much they enjoyed stirring up trouble, didn't feel the need for accolades and adoration; they'd already achieved that much without any real effort.
He bent over to scratch at his leg, which meant he forgot to hold his umbrella over him and down came the rain, soaking him -- not that this made much of a difference, he hadn't been careful with the umbrella in the first place. "I already said I was sorry!" What more did she want? He'd apologized, he'd offered to buy her a new pair. He didn't know what else she expected of him.

Seth had been sent to scurry after Trenton by their mother in hopes they could keep him from ruining his suit. "Trent oh, Trent!!!" he called and ran up, skidding to a stop upon seeing Reese the bitch berating him. "Leave him alone and go back to your kennel, if the rest of the breeding hounds will still let you in," he said his voice cold as ice and unmistakably hostile. Seth didn't take people attacking his siblings well, it pissed him off even if it was just the quints and they probably deserved it. Seth was a senior and considered to be fairly cool because of his you tube VLog that got major hits every time he published it. He was good looking and never seemed to have any problem with girls despite his profane sense of humor.

Reese arched her eyebrow up at both the brothers. Sure Seth knew some cool people but she did not care about that, he was not in her group and that was all that she knew. And she would never invite him to any of her parties that was for sure. "Tell the little boy to watch where he splashes" she said to him. "And I will expect my two hundred dollars soon for my shoes. Now I have to go shower and get rid of the mess your brother created on me" she glared. She adjusted her umbrella glad her dress did not get dirt on it. She gave them one last look of contepent and began walking away.
"Oh and Seth the next party I have if someone drags you along since you won't get a invite from me, keep the kid at home" she said. She walked away with her head up high. She would get the mud off and she would look perfect again. Of course she still looked good, mud would only look good on her. She was ready to look perfect and herself again, and she would not have to chang her dress just unfortunatly new shoes. The shoes she sighed and looked at her feet. "This sucks" she said. She loved shoes and now her newest and rarest pair were ruined cause some geek freshmen decided to jump through puddles. She was never so glad to see her house when she got home.

Trenton stuck his tongue out at Reese as she stalked away. "Fiiiiiine, see if I care, then!!!" He muttered, but didn't dare say it loud enough for her to hear, not now that she was actually leaving. She was hot, but she was also incredibly intimidating, and he was relieved that Seth had come to his rescue.
"You scared off the wicked witch!" He cheered, raising his hands above his head -- and nearly hitting his older brother in the head with the largely unused umbrella in the process. "She was pretty hot, though..." He mused, then changed subjects quickly. "What're you doing here, anyway, shouldn't you be making videos or something? You should talk about Father Tavoularis almost hitting old Mrs. Scafidi in the face with the thurible this morning." He grinned. He had found the incident entirely hilarious, and while Mrs. Scafidi had been very quietly but obviously offended it was her own fault, because she'd been yapping with Mrs. Petropoulos, and she'd turned around just as Father Tavoularis had been swinging the thurible at her pew. It had been all Trenton could do not to burst out laughing, but he knew that his parents would have been angry with him had that happened, and he didn't much like his parents being angry with him -- he much preferred them to be angry at Brandon and Julian. Fortunately Brandon and Julian were more obvious with their mischief, so it was easy to blame most wrong-doing on the pair of them.
"I'm glad you're here, though. Look at all these puddles, isn't it great?!"
