Bass was up and out of the house bright and early with a smile on her face. She was so a morning person. Poor Alex knew that all too well. Sarah had a tendency to call Alex and attempt to drag him out of bed. Sometimes she succeeded, sometimes not so much. This morning she choose to give her fabulous boyfriend a break and she texted him, "Al, Morning sleepy head...txt me...I miss ya" Sarah Pressed the send button as she headed to her car.
The rain was bad, and sure it was not smart to use a cell phone in the middle of weather like this but hey, since when did Bass follow the rules. Barely ever. She was actually looking forward to the auction tomorrow at Jade and Alex's house. She figured she could dress normal for once, although normal was overrated and besides normal was up to the eye of the beholder right. Still she would dress...in clothes worthy of a formal event.
After all this was at Alex's house so she wanted to give a good impression, even though she had been there more then once. Sarah headed to her favorite sport. The lovely music store. She parked her car and ran inside. "mind if I wait out the weather in here." She called to Leslie the owner. Leslie smiled and waved. meaning yes. Sarah did not have to ask really.
Sarah walked the halls of the store till she spotted a nice, vintage, old guitar. These electric guitars had nothing on this baby, "Where have you been all my life?" Sarah spoke to the guitar, but someone was standing right next to her as well...embaressing...not.....

The small family made their way through the busy street, they had presents to buy, well he had presents to buy for his brother and so did their sister. The question was not what he was going to buy him, but what Lily was going to try and get Freddie or Penny to send to her brother as a present for his birthday. He imagined that it would be quite large or impossibly difficult to wrap.
They stepped into a music shop, he had a list of things that Nick wanted for his birthday, they had been emailed to him by his brother. How was it that boy could still want any of these things he didn't know, last time he had asked his uncle about how his brother was doing the man had told him well and that he could shop for England.
"Okay love how about I take care of Lily and her present while you search for something to send Nick." Penny said to him kissing him on the lips.
"Sure I can handle the buggy around here." Freddie said to her. "You think you can keep it to a reasonable size?" Freddie asked. "You have no idea how much trouble it caused me at the postal office, when I tried to send her last gift." Freddie said to Penny who snickered at him.
"I shall try." she answered as the two of them disappeared down the aisle.
"Not hard enough I bet." he said with a grin as he wheeled the buggy down the centre aisle. "Okay you two its just me and you, so how about we get your uncle something he'll love." he said to the sleeping twins.
They walked through the stoor, the owner gave the strange family an odd look but he didn't really mind, he was used to people wondering what had gone wrong for this to happen. He heard the giggles of his wife and sister not far away, he spotted a guitar and laughed.
"Where have you been all my life?"
"You to huh, my little brother would kill for something like this, but postage would be a killer." Freddie said with a smile as he looked at the girl, he was sure he had seen her at school.

Sarah looked over at the guy. He looked vaguly familiar. Where, Sarah had no clue. Perhaps she needed to pay attention more to people besides her boyfriend. Then again Alex was...anyway. Sarah smiled at the guy, "A fellow guitar lover. Not many people admire vintage." She said to Freddie. "A guy like that is worth befriending. Sarah." She held her hand out for a handshake.
"Cute kids, what are their names." She smiled and waved at the kids. They were adorable. Sarah loved kids of course. She liked to play music for them when she would baby sit. It either put them to sleep fast or kept them entertained. Especially whens he use to baby sit her little sister. The little terror.
"Where would you be sending this?" Sure this guy has an sccent, but for all she knew his family could live in the US. You knew know. "Is your brother just into guitars or other intrsuments too?" Sarah always loved to know what people enjoyed to play, whether it was the guitar, the piano or even the recorder. Anything that played music was an instrumen in Sarah's mind.
"Although the guitar is my favorite. I enjoy the piano, and the clarinet. Learning different insturments comes with getting bored easily, which I am guilty of. I have mood swings when it comes to instruments. I know that sounds weird, but hey, why stick to just one when they all play such lovely music."

He smiled at her, "I can't play to save my life, the only strings I know how to pull are G strings... at least thats what my wife tells me." Freddie said smiling. "But I can recognize quality when I see it, it is nice to meet you Sarah, I'm Freddie. The two below me are Oliver and Sarah, or Sah and Ollie as they are likely to be lumbered with in later life." Freddie said happy to introduce himself to the girl in front of him.
"If I thought it could make it in one piece, which sadly I do not believe it could, it would be going to Windsor. My brother takes after my mother in that sense, before she married my father she wanted to play the Violin professionally from what I am told she was very good. I on the other hand, I can not make sense out of sheet music its gibberish to me." Freddie explained when asked about where he would send it to, this however was out of the question. He didn't think it would get their in one piece and he was in no mood to waste money or a good looking instrument for that matter trying to get it there.
"Music can be great in any form, I personally prefer to listen to some forms of rock or classical music. I guess I inherited that last one from my parents, who had a certain love for mozart as we grew up. But like yourself I am open to new possibilities where music is concerned, I will always try out new artists and even new music if people recommend it to me." he said to her smiling widely then bent over the buggy to check on the twins and sighed happily they were still sleeping.

Most girls might blush at that comment, but not Sarah. She just grinned. "I have never had the pleasure of wearing one. I think my boyfriend would keel over if he ever caught me in that. I am more of a short shorts kind of gal." Okay perhaps that was too much information, but the guy already told Sarah what underwear his wife preferred. So it seemed fair, right. "Well they are cute." Sarah commented on the twins who seemed to be sleeping away.
"It must be nice to be a child that can sleep through almost anything. What I would give to do that again...then again I rather enjoy being a teenager, so maybe not." Sarah said laughing. She was always going back and forth like that. It was just who she was.
"See I use to refer to sheet music as the language of sheets. I am not kidding. When I was a kid I did not understand what sheet music was. It was actually the last thing I learned how to read." Sarah explained to Freddie. "Yeah I was a weird kid. Not only did I think sheet music was the language of sheets, but I also thought the guitar was a suitcase, cause you know the guitar cases, they made me think it was a suitcase. Yeah I was a confused child. I have it right now though..." Sarah made weird connections as a kid.
"I grew up around music. My dad was in a band named BAIT." It was a popular band in america and they traveled Europe. Most people knew her father and the band, but it depended if you liked classic rock....her fathers music was like Aerosmith, and Sex pistols...type of stuff...
" I was actually born in Japan. My mom traveled with him when she was pregnant. My sister and I were on the road with my dad until recently when my mom thought it would be Nice for us to actually stay in one place for more then a few days." Sarah explained. "I am like you...rock, classic rock are nice, but going back to classical is always a plus. I have a love of all kinds of music. There is not really one kind I hate, but I do listen to some more then others..." She hoped that made sense.

"Quiet when they don't want feeding or changing, but they have lungs on them, and they seem to do it together. One wakes up the othe other is close behind demanding attention, its not so bad during the day but is difficult in the middle of the night." he said to her.
Freddie smiled, "My parents raised me around classical music, I've been to the london opera house almost as frequently as I have been to cinemas and musicals. It was kind of drilled into me that Mozart was better than Eminem or dizzy rascal or any modern musical artists. I kind of agreed with that until a friend of mine introduced to meat loaf after that I dug rock, I still don't get rap or having your jeans half way round your ankles but I deal with it. I guess you could say that I'm a by product of my upbringing." he said the put on London accent dissolving a little to show what an American would see as an upper class toff accent. He didn't mean it to happen, he just forgot to make the effort to keep his accent in touch.
"Japan, beautiful country brilliant golf courses to in certain places. Language barrier is a little to much for me though. So your dad's a rocker, that must lead to an interesting home life for you. His not like Ozzy Ozbourne though right?" he asked her.

"Soon they will learn how to sleep through the night, and you and your wife can finally get some sleep. Then you get to repeat the ritual when nightmares come into play." Sarah said with a friendly smile. "They are cute when they sleep. I can't wait to have kids one day, but to be honest, I am so not looking forward to the pain. How did your wife handle it?" Sarah was thinking she would wait until like 30. She had to give Freddie credit for being a young dad, but still the idea of the pain...ow.
"We are all products of our upbringing in some way. I love Meatloaf. I use to listen to him all the time, so I am with you there. The whole rap and pants thing, i just do not understand it. Its a trend that I really do not understand. Thank god that is not Alex." Her boyfriend was great. He was not like those people who thought showing your boxers was cool. Now Sarah would never judge someone for that, but that did not mean she had to like it.
"God no. He is nothing like Ozzy. Ozzy is in a world of his own. Although my dad has smashed a guitar or two in his day. He is more like one of those rockers who sleeps during the day and is awake during the night. My mom use to think he had insomnia, but my dad says he was born to be awake during the night." Sarah said with a shrug, "But yes he is a musician, been his dream since he was a kid. He taught me how to write music and play guitar when i was young. What about you..what do your parents do?"

Freddie grinned at her, "Penny caused me pain and plenty of it during the labor, my brother thought it absolutely hilarious when he heard about it. When your ready for them, if you want the father to pay make sure he doesn't have time to put some padding on. I had the bruises and nail marks for a week after the twins were born. Not that I didn't earn it, apparently I earned it by getting Penny pregnant in the first place." Freddie said to her with a grim smile. "I guess I get that from being in a Female dominated house hold, three girls and two boys I find myself walking on eggshells some of the time. Doesn't stop me loving them all though I can tell you, what ever pain I was caused during and after the birth, was well worth it." he said as he heard footsteps behind him he turned and smiled as his sister attached her self to his leg Penny kissed him.
"You going to introduce us?" Penny asked.
"Sorry honey... Penelope this is Sarah, Sarah this is my wife Penny." Freddie introduced the pair. "Did you pick something out?" he asked.
"We have some of the CD's he wanted, that we need to pay for, but we need to go elsewhere to get the main present for him." she said to him he nodded.
"Fair enough, I haven't seen anything that wouldn't cause me a headache to get back to England for him." Freddie said ruefully. "It would be so much easier if he was here but their is no point in arguing about that right now." Freddie said to her she shook her head.

"Well I hope whom ever I pick can handle the pain like you." Sarah said with a smile. Kids were cute and all but right now they were not for her. She was to busy enjoying life and although Freddie seemed to be a good fit for parent hood, she was not. At least not yet. "I will keep all that in mind when that happens. Thanks for the warning and I am sure the future father will thank you too." She let out a small chuckle as they were joined by two more people.
"So this is the famous Penny. I was just complimenting how cute your kids are." Sarah extended her hand to shake Penny's hand. "They are adorable, and so quiet. Most kids come in here and either run around playing with all the instruments or scream their heads off cause of the noise." Although the twins looked too young to be able to walk.
"Well I am glad you found something that can be shipped back. If only there was a way to ship this beauty." She pointed to the guitar. "My dad would say I collect guitars more then I play them. He might be right." Sarah said with a wide smile. "I wish I could stay longer, but I had plans to attempt to track down my boyfriend before he and his brother get boggled down with an auction they are throwing. You both should come. Its for a good cause." Sarah explained about the auction and the shooting just in case Freddie and Penny did not know about it.
"I hope to see you both again sometime. And if you even want a baby sitter, I would not mind." It gave her something to do. She passed her number to Penny before saying good bye to the lovely family.
