Beep..Beep..Beep..Beep...smash.....
Thats how the morning went for Brandon. He was not a morning person. He barely got up for school on time, so what the hell was that annoying rat doing going off this early on a Saturday..no Sunday morning. Brandon had no clue. This must be some sick joke. One of his siblings maybe..Dena...Trenton...never...they would not be that...okay maybe they would. After all Brandon had done it on more then one occasion to them.
It was funny to set someone's alarm then watch them get dress for school, on a non school day. Much to Brandon's dismay it was neither. Instead in walked Brandon's mom picking up dirty clothes from the floor. "Rise and Shine sweetheart...you ready for today...its your turn for Sunday shopping with mom."
"Uggg. Five more minutes." Apparently every Sunday Brandon's mom made it a point to take one kid shopping in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Last week in the morning had been Sarissa and this week was Brandon. Most likely the afternoon would belong to Dena or Celeste and who knew which one mom would take in the evening. It was a weekend ritual.
"Can't you take someone else. I am tool old for shopping." Brandon complained.
His mother pulled back the curtains. "I take each of my kids equally, so hurry, can't miss it." Brandon grumbled and finally got out of bed, did his morning ritual and then made it to breakfast. He ate fast just wanting to get the morning over with so he could come back and take a nap. Besides he had a joke for Dena to work on. Monday was the day he and Trenton decided on leaving the note in Dena's locker. Oh it would be great.
Brandon wore torn jeans and a button down shirt that was worn over a black tank top and a chain from his belt loop to his pocket where his wallet was. he followed his mom out yawning and left to go to the store with her. So embarrassing. Once at the store though Brandon had an idea.
He pulled out....his fathers cell phone which he swiped and sent a quick text to his mom saying the mother in law was coming over. Which always sent Mom into panic mode. Which meant Brandon was now alone to shop, while their mom went to the closest store to stock up on stuff for dear old granny. Brandon was so bad. He loved it.
He saw someone in the distance and smiled as he walked over. "Fancy seeing you here." He said to the figure.

Casper was glad to get out of the house, he had a number of errands to run, namely the most important of being, his tux for the coming party his father had demanded that he attend. He really hated being his fathers son at times, if their was a bonus it was that he got to see the beautiful Emily again. The girl had taken his breath away the first time they had met at one of these official functions.
Both their fathers served their countries in different roles, and both were always dragged to these things as their pride and joys. He thought about it, that at least if they weren't so stuffy it wouldn't be so bad, but that was asking to much. He had no idea who was going to be at this party, all he had been told was it was a black tie affair.
Now that he had done what he needed to do, he decided to hunt down a couple of things that he wanted for himself, music for the flight a book to read... and some new clothes possibly, if he saw something good that he wanted.
He heard someone calling to him which surprised him a little but he turned to see who it was anyway, he smiled, it was a much younger guy from school. Why he was calling to him he didn't really know, but he didn't mind the company. He wasn't particularly ageist, and a distraction while he shopped and maybe an opinion on a few things wouldn't go a miss.
"Brandon right?" he asked with a smile. "What are you doing here today?" he asked.

Brandon knew Casper. He went to Gould and he was cute. Of course Brandon swung both ways, but he loved to admire people that were ot of his league. It was the reason Brandon loved older women. He liked seeing what he could not have. Something about that was more fun. The challenge behind it.
Brandon walked over so he did not have to rasie his voice too much and smiled, "My mom brought me shopping after church. She seems to think buying clothes is a nice wau to bond." Brandon put the word 'bond' in quotation marks. "Sometimes I think she mistakes me for Dena."
"I need a piece of formal wear for the auction tomorrow. Some how all my monkey suits disappeared. Not my fault they found their way into a garbage can. All I can say is I did not put them there." Brandon started to laugha little. "Yes I a Brandon..you are Casper right..." The only reason Brandon remembered that is became of the movie Casper. He was not about to admit that though.
Brandon tried to play it cool. This was an older kid. He could have an affect on Brandon's social status. Although Brandon had a feeling he would have no problem raising in the ranks, but still. it did not hurt to have a junior on your side. In fact it was down right smart. Juniors were one step away from seniors and well seniors ruled the school.

Casper gave him an odd look when he said monkey suits, maybe it was one those things that didn't really translate to well or make any sense to people who's first language was quite possibly not English. The South African boy pulled himself away from those thoughts to look at Brandon properly, "So you need a new suit, why would any one throw what you had in the garbage?" he asked him with a smile. "Or was it that you had grown out of them?" he asked.
"Their are a couple of parties this week, from what I hear the other one is a god and godess themed party Haley is throwing. It should be entertaining to see who comes in old bed sheets dressed like Dobby the house elf." he said with a grin. "I just took several of my suits to the dry cleaners, I have an official function to attend with my father in Washington on Saturday next week. I have no idea why I am being dragged to it, but I need at least one possibly two suits for the trip." Casper explained.
"So your going to the auction tomorrow, it should be a pretty wild party... from what I hear the Edwards twins only know how to throw wild parties... or at least one of them anyway... never can tell the two of them apart mind you." Casper said. "You want some company... I have hours to kill before bowling and you look like you could use it." Casper said the big brother in him wanting to help the other boy.

"You could say I out grew them." More like Brandon out grew the will to wear the suits. Not his fault he accidentally put them in the laundry pile instead of the dry cleaner pile and it was not Brandon's fault bleach ended up in that pile of clothes, ruining them all. "Anyway I need some new ones, so here I am. I just don't like them. They make me look so...professional." Which was the point duh...
"I head about the God and Goddess party. I just hope Haley has safety pins on standby for those people who do not know how to tie sheets properly. Not a pretty sight if those things fall off." Brandon shook a little at the gross idea. Although depending on the person it might be a nice idea. Casper would look nice undressed, so would Jonell, Haley, Aly, Sarah Brody, Shelby, Tyler, DJ, Isaac, and a few other choice guys and gals Brandon had noticed.
"I have never met the Edwards twins in person, but I have seen them around. I think their names are Jade and Alex if I remember correctly. I know one is dating this chick with the pink hair, and the other is gay. But I don't know much else. I think the auction is a good idea though. I must say they have put together a good thing in a short amount of time. I am looking forward to it. ' Brandon commented. "DC huh, whats your dad doing there. If I can ask?"

Casper gave him a mischivous look, "Just think of the chances that some of the jocks will be brought down a peg or two, by mishaps with their costumes. Most of the less sports oriented people at the school will show up just on the chance that will happen." Casper said eyes glittering. "Suits are meant to make you look professional or at least smart, I personally have a distaste for penguing suits." Casper told him.
He rarely showed this side of him, but he did seem to like the idea of some people embarrassing themselves, maybe it was just his sense of humour, it would have to be the right people of course but as long as it happened he didn't really care who it was.
"My father is an ambassador for my country to the US, so usually when something like this comes up the family or at least mom and me get dragged along to it." Casper said to him. "It helps that I have a date for said party, buts its an arranged date. One of the girls I have known since I was eleven asked me to accompany her. Her father is probably spitting hair balls because of it at this very moment, but we get on and its convenient for me, I have some one to distract me from being in a room stuffed full of people talking politics. Their is nothing more boring than people talking politics, no wrong it could get worse, we could be asked about our opinions." Casper said to him.

"Its nice to finally meet a guy who has a brain. I like the way you think. I mean it will defiantly be interesting to see, just which jocks really are that dumb. I personally do hope some of those jocks have a brain, cause to see it will traumatize me." Although Brandon did not mind looking at a few men, but there was no need to advertise it. For all Brandon knew Casper might take offense or something. You never could tell who was against gay people or not. Although it seemed as if Casper was okay with it, which was good since Brandon was bisexual, " I could not agree more about penguin suits. I mean, looking professional is cool and all, but not in certain suits. There has to be another way you know."
Brandon shrugged. He had been to award shows and crap. Being a TV star, a penguin suit became second nature. It sucked. The first time Brandon wore one, he spent the night trying to take it off, which lead to his siblings taking off their professional clothes, cause Brandon was use to being the leader of the five of them.
"An ambassador, now that seems cool. What country are you from exactly?" Although geography was not Brandon's place of expert knowledge. Brandon passed cause he had a jacket where the inside lining was a map of the world. It was easy to use to cheat, cause no one would believe such a jacket existed. That was the point.
"Wow, man do not envy that. I am glad you have someone to occupy your time though. Sounds like a snooze fest. I would not even know what to say when asked. I do not know politics. I can barely recall who the president is..." Brandon was not afraid to admit, he and politics did not mix. "Too bad you cannot just skip it, but its good you are showing your dad support." If only Brandon had a strong bond like that with his father. He envied the older boy.
