Aly laughed at Evan's statement, "You hit a girl...please you probably hit like a girl..i know preschoolers who can throw a better punch then you. If you hung me, you will spend the rest of your says without a certain part of you anatomy. Then we can debate on whose the girl." Aly retorted. She had to give a come back with that. Hugging Evan...ewwww gross. She would rather mate with a female then hug that boy all day.
"Your car...do not get me started...dont make me pull out the list.." Aly said with a smile as Evan left the room. Aly walked in and shut Brit's door so Evan could not hear them. "Oh stop..I was not mean..i was slightly digging it in. Thats all." Aly crossed her arm over her chest as she waited for Barney to get ready. "Break up with you, sweetheart, if Evan does that he is a bigger fool then he already is, and he would be stupid. Plus if he is that stupid, then you deserve way better." Aly was actually being nice for once.
It was true, "If you just dressed more like me, you might surprised what guys will go for you...like that Eddie guy..he likes you." Aly was not blind, she could see the look on Eddie's face from back at the hospital. "So you are saying if I fix things with you and Evan you will dye your hair a natural color...any color of my choosing?" Aly offered. Now this could be interesting. it might be worth a try.
"Fine, but to do it. I have to be a tad bold. and it cannot be done in public...if you want things fixed then airing your dirty laundry in public is not the way to go. After this never say I don't know how to be a sister, but this does not change things. The war is still on for the stupid animals and the cake crap." Aly had not changed that much and she suspected Barney was still willing to keep the prank war going as well. "Heymonkey boy, get your ass back in this room..."

The door was still closed and Brittany was slightly dreading leaving her room....joining up with Evan again. He was going to break up with her...even if Aly said that would make him an idiot...maybe he was an idiot. He did claim to not know that Syn had been trying to kiss him. How did you not know that someone was about to kiss you? Could he really be that dense.
Brittany made a face when Aly mentioned dressing more like a girl. "I dress fine," she said. "Eddie...what? No...we're just friends," she said, thinking back trying to remember if he'd been flirting. No...he'd mostly just told her about his ex and how she cheated. What about before that? She couldn't remember. "I thought he liked you since he visited you in the hospital but he said that he doesn't," she told Aly. "I told him that was good because you were mean," Brit teased slightly, sticking her tongue out at Aly. "I don't think he likes me like that though. He's known I've had a boyfriend since I met him," she said. Or was this how it had been with Evan and Syn? Was she just as oblivious and dense as he was? But Eddie had never tried to kiss her...if he had, she would have noticed that.
"Color of your choosing? Well, I didn't say that," she said. "But fine, if that's what I need to do to fix this, then I'll do whatever," she said with a sigh. She really was convinced that Evan was going to break up with her...dump her for Syn. And if dying her hair a normal color was what she'd have to do to fix it, then she'd do it. Plus, she hadn't committed to how long she'd keep it whatever color Aly picked.
"Oh yeah right, like you could even pull off a proper prank of that magnitude," Brittany muttered, rolling her eyes as opened up the door and headed out into the hallway. She looked at Evan, making eye contact for only a split second before looking away...too afraid to maintain it. "Let's go," she said.

So, Brittany was going to break up with him. Evan was certain of it now. She probably told Aly, who was telling her what to say, which was why the girls were taking so long in the room (even though in reality they had only been a few minutes). There was nothing he could do to stop it he figured. He could always break up with her first, wasn’t it better to be the breaker than the breakee? He had no idea, she was his first serious girlfriend, he had never had to go through this horror before. But he couldn’t break up with her, even knowing she was about to dump him. Probably in front of her evil stepsister. Dammit. He started with vacantly drumming on the wall, switching to agitated pacing the longer the girls took. It almost made him want to storm him and tell her to just do it already. Get on with the show. But no, like a good about to be ex-boyfriend, he waited. And waited.
It was actually a relief to hear Aly’s voice for once, and he turned around, intending to walk into Brit’s room when she came out instead. He glanced up at her and away, as quickly as she did to him, sticking his hands into his pockets. “I prefer the term snake boy. Or monkey boy.” he tried to joke, managing a small grin. He really didn’t want to go out to breakfast to be dumped, so he stayed rooted on the spot, attempting to draw things out.
He let his eyes eventually return back to Brittany, smiling just a little. His girlfriend, soon ex, really was pretty hot. Which, if that was the only interesting thing about her, would make this all pretty sucky, but there was heaps more to her than that. He really hated this, he didn’t want to break up with her. She was the girl who stayed up late with watching movies and eating candy after all. The only girl who put up with his bad singing and constant fidgeting. The girl he loved hanging out with most of all. So, overall, this was shit.

"Aww you do like me...I think that is the nicest thing you have ever said about me." Aly smirked and held out her hands, "Come give your sister a hug." Aly was only joking and she had a look that said it. If Brit walked into the hug then it would be weird, which is why she made the joke. She knew Barney would not like it, or so she hoped. She was referring to the being mean comment. Aly would not deny shit. She was mean and proud of it. That was the problem with some girls. They lacked confidence. "What you wear could be considered a fashion nightmare."
Aly waited for Barney to finish, "I am wondering if I should make you get your hair professionally died." Aly said smiling, "A proper prank is not something you know about. You pull prank a child could think of. Trust me. My pranks, you won't see coming. So feel free to eat those words."
Aly walked out after motioning for Barney to lead the way. She crossed her arms over her body once more and eyed the two people in front of her. "Oh for gods sake, look at you...its so sad its pathetic." Aly looked at Evan and then at Barney. "I highly doubt either of you has ever been in this situation before. Its written all over your face. He can barely look at you, and you are dressing worse then normal. I actually prefer the clothes that made sense."
Aly sighed trying to figure out what to say, "Fine, Snake boy are you going to dump Bar...i mean Brit?" Aly waited for the answer then looked at Barney, "Brit, do you want to dump Evan?" Aly waited for her answer.
"You guys want this fixed, then tell each other how you feel and be honest. Brit is still hurting over the kiss and is questioning your loyalty and your ability to know when another girl will kiss you. She needs to know that you are truly sorry and that you have feelings for only her, and not this other chick. Brit needs to know you would pick her no matter who walks through the door. She needs to know you are sorry , and you have no plans to ever do this again. Just know it might take time for Brit to forget." Aly said to Evan.
"Now Brit. Evan needs to know you can forgive him, for what he did. He made a mistake and he is sorry. He is also oblivious like most guys are. He did not get i or understand girl speak. But he gets it now. And by the look of him, and the flowers, I would say he is more sorry then you know. he is obvious so into you, its really sick...so forgive him for being stupid and know that he just might be smarter then he looks." Aly was good with people, besides Evan was readable, just like Brit.
And this was Aly being nice. "So talk, be honest, and listen, cause the more you talk to other people, the worse it will get." If only she could take her own advice.

Brittany ignored Aly. She was starting to regret recruiting her help. Her clothes were fine. Sure she had just picked things at random today and usually her outfit took a little more consideration, she was only going to breakfast, and admittedly she'd just rolled out of bed, quite literally. Plus, Evan was waiting, she wasn't going to take a super long time to get ready. It just didn't make sense to. She also ignored the thing about the prank. Aly was all talk. There was no way she could pull anything that good off. Brittany didn't believe for one second that she could.
Once in the hallway again, Brittany felt pretty small. Hearing Aly say all that was, well, embarrassing. Man, she must have been pretty serious about getting Brit to dye her hair again. But whatever it was, Brittany sort of had to admit that hearing it all laid out like that was rather humbling and a little embarrassing, especially the part about hearing how Evan screwed up all over again. She didn't like thinking about it...or about Syn.
"Aly...I thought we were going to go to breakfast," she said. "I don't want to do this. I can't do this right now. I can't...." She shook her head, sort of staring down at her feet. Flowers weren't nice. The were break up flowers...didn't Aly see that? Evan wasn't a flower guy. He was a candy guy. Heck, he was even a pizza and soda guy...or popcorn...she would have been less worried if he'd brought popcorn as a grand gesture. The notion that he was trying to do something nice by buying flowers didn't really cross her mind because to her, Evan wasn't a flower kind of guy.
"There is no point in talking it out," she said, looking at Aly and not Evan. It was too hard looking at Evan. It hurt too much. "I already know he picked Syn--he saw her yesterday at Dare's....and..." she looked at Evan now for the first time. She wasn't really crying but there was definitely some tears welled up in her eyes. "...and you probably brought her candy or something sugary when you asked her out!"
Brittany shook her head again, her little rant sort of making her feel stronger slightly...very slightly. "You know what, I don't even care anymore. Just do it. Break up with me. Why wait, right. Do it," she said almost egging him on. Part of her wondered if she should just do it, break up with him. Then she wouldn't have to hear him say the words. She wanted to...it would certainly spare herself the pain of hearing him say it, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get the words out.

Evan couldn’t bring himself to say a single thing while Aly spoke, and nor could he get the stunned look off his face. It seemed, and he was certain he was wrong, but it seemed that Aly was actually trying to help them out. Which naturally unnerved him, the girl made it clear, daily, she wasn’t his biggest fan, so he would have thought she would be happy about Brit dumping him. But it seemed the opposite, like she was trying to help them stay together. Which couldn’t be right, he thought. There had to be some reason, something in it for her, to actually be nice to them both, because it was admittedly just a little scary. Plus, what she said sounded sensible and smart, so of course, made him feel even more of an idiot.
The stunned looked not only remained, but became more pronounced, when he maintained his shocked silence and Brittany started to speak. She couldn’t be serious, she couldn’t seriously believe what she was saying. He didn’t even know how she could possibly even think that in the first place, he made it obvious how he felt about her. Hadn’t he? But the look on her face made it clear to even him, and when she finished saying things he thought were utterly ridiculous, he finally found his voice. Sort of.
“No. No, no, no. No, no. No, no, no, no, no.” he spoke, each no sounding more desperate and frantic then the last. “No. I mean, no. Of course not! Are you stupid?” He realised when he said this that it could be seen as differently to how he actually meant it, so he quickly corrected it. “I mean, I’m not breaking up with you. No. I’m not that stupid. I thought you were going to break up with me? Aren’t you? That’s why I came over, wanted to try to, you know, talk you into changing your mind. And that’s why I got the flowers too. I mean, flowers are kinda stupid, candy or something would be better.” He realised again this could offend, so he went in for another save. “I mean, they’re good for girls, and you’re a girl, and, um, I never bought you flowers before, so I thought maybe you would like them, and maybe you would change your mind about dumping me. So, you’re not dumping me?” He wasn’t the most eloquent of people, especially when he was panicky, and he was certainly panicky now.
The fact that it looked like Brit was going to cry didn’t help either, it wasn’t a good sign to make a girl cry. “Pick Syn? You serious? Sure, I saw her yesterday, cause she’s Dare’s sister, she lives with him. But I barely said a thing to her, and when I had to speak to her, it was only to be polite.” He glanced over at Aly, seeming hesitant, not quite sure what his girlfriend might have told her step-sister. He didn’t have any qualms about telling everyone how he felt about Brit, he was more than willing to stand on the school’s football field yelling his feelings, with an I Love Brittany Barnes sign around his neck, but it felt a bit weird to now, with Aly watching.
He made himself do it anyway, he had to, and he walked over to her, taking her hand a little nervously. She didn’t pull away, that was a good sign. He spoke more quietly now, which for him, took considerable effort. “When I told you I loved you Brit, I meant it, I wouldn’t lie about something like that. And every time I tell you that, I’m going to mean it. You’re the girl I want. Not Syn. Not any other girl. Course not. And I’m sorry that I was stupid, I mean, I was really, really stupid, but you already know that.” he admitted, laughing just a little at this.
Maybe he wasn’t too bad at all this relationship stuff and talking after all. “I know what I did was really wrong, that I should have realised what she was going to do. And I’m really, really sorry. I promise that nothing like that will ever happen again, I won’t be stupid like that again. Um, like Aly said, I get it if you wanna hate me for a while more I understand, I deserve it. But please don’t break up with me, or even think about it. I love you Brit. Well, I suppose you could break up with me if you wanted to, I can't stop you. But if you do, I'm going to follow you around constantly, singing and writing poems and stuff about snakes, and buying you peanut butter candy, until you change your mind and take me back.”

Brittany stood there looking kind of shell shocked as Evan spoke. Really? So it had all been a giant misunderstanding? Was that even possible? He didn't want Syn...he only wanted her? And he loved her? Only her? He'd meant all that. Brittany stood there blinking as she leaned against the wall of the hall way for balance. She felt stupid...small. She looked pretty small too in her oversized hoodie and skinny jeans. It didn't help that she wasn't particular tall. Both Evan and Aly towered over her.
"So...so you never wanted Syn even though she's prettier?" Brittany asked, her voice sounding as small as she felt. "And you never wanted to break up with me? They weren't breakup flowers?" she asked. "And you didn't just say all that stuff about loving me because you screwed up?" she asked, the words sounded crazier as she heard herself say them to Evan. Had these really been the thoughts that were haunting her the past few days? It all seemed so silly now.
She wasn't even thinking about Aly or how she'd told Aly that she'd dye her hair normal or that Aly claimed she was getting them back. Aly was the farthest thing from her mine. It was as if Aly wasn't even there. She did her best to sprint across the short hallway, with only a few steps in-between them, still, she threw her arms around his neck and wrapped her legs around his torso quite literally jumping on him. She hugged him tightly. "I love you too...I meant it too...I guess I was just afraid that you didn't really, because of Syn," she said, still not really liking thinking about the other girl.
She kissed him and there was a big goofy smile on her face as she looked at him. "If we ever get in a fight again, bring candy," she informed in. "Or ice cream...oh ice cream with m&ms!" she said excitingly. "Let's go get some! For breakfast!!!" She was still smiling as jumped off of him. "Let's go," she said grabbing him by the hand. She wasn't really thinking about the fact that it was early and ice cream places probably wouldn't even be open yet, or the fact that she was completely ditching Aly now.

Breakup flowers? Evan never knew there was such a thing as breakup flowers. That was a pretty lousy thing actually, to buy a girl flowers because you were breaking up wth her, as a sort of consolation prize or something. But now that he knew that such a stupid thing insisted, he made a mental note to never buy Brittany flowers again. Which was just fine with him, he would prefer to actually get her something good anyway. He didn’t get the appeal with them in the first place, sure they looked pretty for a couple of days, but they were expensive, didn’t do anything, and died after a few days anyway. At least with candy, though it didn’t even get to last a few hours when he got his hands on some, it was something you could enjoy.
Brittany jumping him, now that was what Evan liked. Or him jumping Brit would have been a perfectly acceptable substitute, but this was working for him. He took a step back quickly, attempting to balance himself as he wrapped an arm around her waist. When she said she loved him, when it clearly was obvious, even to him, that she wasn’t angry with him anymore, he grinned, carefully reaching up with his free hand to brush strands of hair behind her ear.
“I would never say I love you cause I screwed up, ‘specially not the first time.” he told her. “I would just buy you stuff, you should know that!” He let himself laugh before getting serious. “Alright, before I let you down, something you gotta know. No way is Syn, or any girl...” he whispered very quietly in the next part, grinning as he said it, “Like Aly. Especially Aly. I mean, eww. No girl is prettier than you. Seriously Brit, you’re hot! I mean, if Patch didn’t actually trip over you, I would have pretended to, to get your attention. I probably would have fell in your lap too.” he assured her. “So don’t forget that, alright? My girl is hot. Even hotter than me, so you know that’s pretty hot. And you’re also pretty awesome, so, no wonder I’m crazy about you.”
When she kissed him, he drew it out for as long as possible. It had felt like forever since they kissed, and he wanted to enjoy it. Also, for Aly’s benefit, he made the kiss as sloppy and noisy as possible. His goofy grin matched hers as he set her down. “Deal. No, actually, why don’t we just not fight again, and I’ll bring you ice cream anyway. I really don’t like the fighting, really cuts down on Brit time.”
He loved Brittany, and ice cream, and M&Ms, so a chance to combine all three wasn’t one he would turn down. “Sweet, I could totally go for that! We could bring it back to my house, mum’s at home but she’ll probably go out soon. And we could just bring it all up to my room, maybe watch a movie, or make out, or start work on our snake music, or maybe just make out.” he grinned. “I could go for a hot dog too. Maybe some bacon. Mmm....bac...on.”
He was just about to let his still girlfriend drag him out when Evan remembered the other person still around, watching them with what had to be distaste on her face. Aly had been nice, even if the nice had been scary, so he supposed he should say something. “Um, thanks. For helping.” he spoke up. “Uh, did you still want to get breakfast?” Though he was obviously not keen on it now, he figured she did help make the plans, so he should really ask.

Aly watched the scene. Her eyes going back and forth as Evan talked about following her around with candy and Brit talking about loving him. It was disgusting. Really disgusting. Now she regretted helping, cause she was forced to watch this crap. Not because she was going tobreakfast with them, which was so not happening any more, but because Barney and Evan were taking up the hallway and her room was on the other side of their barracade.
Aly rolled hr eyes as the duo kiss, "Oh my god you both are sick. its way too much. No one is that happy." She told them both. She did not care to hear what they had to say. "Yeah, right...Ummm..let me think..no you both go ahead. Forget it." Aly told them. "Now do me a favor and part like the red sea cause I feel the need to throw up from all this PDA."
Aly walked through the duo to her door and turned. She eyed Barney, "Oh and Barney...Chocolate Brown." Aly gave her a smile and disappeared into her room. Chocolate brown was the name of the color Aly picked for Barney's hair. Aly closed her door. She did not need to deal with the idiots in the hallway.
Although she did smile to herself, thankful they worked it out. Aly was a sucker for a so story and Barney looked pitiful this weekend. Which sucked, cause Aly could not pull off the prank with her looking bad. Aly picked up her phone and texted Jasper, "I am so ready for tomorrow." Sure Aly was feeling jealous over what she saw, but that was Jasper and as much as she hated it. She could not do anything about it.
So Aly sent a separate text to Tyler, "Had fun last night, must do a repeat." Aly smirked and then headed off to get ready for the rest of the day.

Brittany had gone from miserable to happy in a matter of seconds. Knowing that Evan only wanted to be with her just made her so happy. She wasn't thinking about anything else. And then Evan thanked Aly and Aly said chocolate brown. As in chocolate brown hair. "No way!" Brittany yelled back. "We didn't officially make that deal...you didn't even help really!" she yelled back at her step-sister but she was already gone...disappeared into her room.
Brittany made a face as she looked at Evan. "I might have agreed to dye my hair normal if Aly helped me," she said. "You don't think she'll hold me to that...do you...cause brown...it...so...brown. It's boring," she said shaking her hair. Brittany didn't want boring hair. She wanted fun hair which was why she liked to dye it different colors.
She shook her head. "I guess we can worry about it later," she said, squeezing Evan's hand, still happy but still feeling slightly off due to the whole hair dying thing. "Let's just go get some ice cream," she said, just wanted that. She was happy and she wanted to spend some time with Evan now...just Evan. Sure she'd see him tonight too at the bowling ally, since she'd probably go now that they'd officially made up, but everyone would be at the bowling ally and Brittany wanted sometime with just Evan.
Brittany led Evan down the stairs and into the living room. "Mom--we're gonna go get breakfast--can you walk Jimi for me...PLEASSSE," she said making puppy dog eyes at her mother, who just smiled, glad that Brittany seemed happy again and that she and Evan worked out whatever had been going on with them. "No problem," she said.
"Great," Brittany trilled as she headed out the front door and toward Evan's car. "So...what ice cream places you think will be open this early?" she asked, feeling for the first time in days that things were finally back to normal again.
