They are considering sending her to a private school if she doesn't straighten out soon. Writing Sample: Squeezing the hand in his own gently as he stepped in behind Cwyll, Kieran pulled out one of the comfy computer chairs. There were two in the room, as they would been standing watches two at a time. An extra chair had been pushed out of the way to the side of the various desks and wires. Leaning over Kieran pressed the button to wake the system up from it's power saving sleep, "They won't bite," He said with a slightly teasing smile.
"I am not so sure about that," Cwyll said, but walked inside and sat. He had gotten a shock from an electrical outlet as a small child and it had left a lasting impression especially since his mother had over reacted to the incident which had left him frightened of it since though he had come to be able to deal with everyday household objects like a stove and the lights. Microwaves he was sure was an invention by the Foundation to entrap the preternaturals that dared use them. "So... that button turns it on?"
Kieran smiled gently as he sat down in one of the chair's, "You can turn it on with that button though I think we'll probably leave them going most of the time now, just in case something happens so you shouldn't have to worry about turning them on," He said reaching over to pat the chair next to him, "Sit down and I'll show you a few things."
Cwyll nodded, blinking a bit as the screen before him flickered to life. Sitting next to Kieran he tried not to show the discomfort he was feeling. "How do we check to make sure that everyone's equipment is working?" he asked after a moment when he remembered why they had come here after all. Most everyone was likely to be safe at the moment, but you could never be sure.
Moving over to the main moniter, Kieran waited until Cwyll was beside him, "This is the main computer we can run most things from here," He said, as he moved the mouse, "See the pointer here," He pointed to it with his finger, "When you move the mouse, here... it moves the pointer. To bring up the monitering system that should show us everyones statis you want to bring up this program... here."
Cwyll watched, concentrating hard. He hoped that he wouldn't have to use the computer himself, but if it worked out that way then he needed to remember everything. "Okay... so I move the mouse to point at that to start the status program," he said, wondering why it hadn't started as he didn't realize you had to click with the mouse to actually make it do anything.
"You then have to click this button," Kieran said taking it slowly, "Twice to make the program come on." Reaching over to take Cwyll's hand and put it over the mouse, "Here now you try it." Sitting back a little bit so that Cwyll could take control.
Cwyll took a deep breath, his imagination making the plastic device seem to vibrate with electricity in his hand. For a few moments that seemed like an eternity to the frightened elf, it seemed as if he was paralyzed and completely lacking the ability to do anything. When he finally had to breath again, he was able to click the mouse, though he had to do it again as he had repeated too slowly the first time. When the computer whirred to life, even though the sound was barely audible it made the elf jump.
