DJ nodded, still taken with the house. "You have no argument from me." DJ followed behind Kalina, holding Doofus so tight he could feel the pup shake.

DJ could be intimidating in his own right but Kalina's father had him in his own right! He sat Doofus down, and gave him a visual to sit still. The dog obeyed and DJ knew how he was feeling.

The man's baritone voice alone could could make the devil freeze in his tracks. The hard gaze on his face would even turn the most hideous of gorgons to stone.

He stayed silent as father and daughter had their debate. Part of him wanted to run from the house screaming but he knew that would catch up with him.

He stood straight when Viktor spoke to him. 'Look him in the eye, be honest and never let him see you sweat!' DJ thought, even though why the phrase from a deodorant commercial had got there, he didn't know.

"Sir, I would help anyone, anytime. It's how I was raised. Lend a hand when you can, no matter who it is. The only thing I ask is that who ever I help, helps someone else in any way they can."

Viktor looked at the young man a dissapproving look on his face. "Young man I do not know who you are" he said. "I am portective of my daughter, she is my only child" he said. "And I thank you for helping her, but you know that I will be checking out your background and everything. I know my Kalina, once she makes a friend nothing I do or say will disuade her from not being their friend. And because of that and her and I will let you know up front I will do a background check." After getting the young mans name he looked into the living room. "Kalina I know you were listening dear. I am going to go to my room it is getting late. Say good bye to your friend and go to bed soon" he smiled as she came out. He was so proud of her, she was beautiful and smart.

"Okay daddy I love you" she kissed him on his cheek.

"I love you to Princess. But I am serious about you not driving alone. I feel much safe if you were not by yourself. So you can either have your driver or if a friend is driving let him know ahead of time. I have a feeling I will see you around young man" he said. He could tell the boy thought his daughter was beautiful of course most young men did. "Good night" he said and nodded. When he looked at the boy he kept his face neutral he saved his gentle looks for his family.

Watching her father go she turned back to DJ. "That did not go so bad" she laughed. "He must of approved of what you said. But he is serious about the background check" she told him. "I told you I would not be able to drive myself anymore" she sighed. "I have ressigned myself to never driving myself here or back in Russia."
