Dena spent a lot of time admiring (aka perving, and sometimes casually flirting with and hitting on) pretty girls, but when it came to actually going on dates, she had far less experience with that. And especially considering that Caitlin was now not just a girl she admired, a lot, she was also now her official girlfriend, Dena figured their dinner out, before they went back to Caitlin’s house and played around with her costumes, had to be good.
So that meant choosing somewhere nice to eat. She thought about somewhere fancy, but dismissed that just as quick. Not for the cost of course. Well, partially for the cost, those places were far too overpriced, but she figured she would feel out of place there, she’d rather go somewhere that was actually fun. Besides, she was hungry, and as expensive as those types of places were, they really didn’t give you much to eat.
So in the end, she settled on Fuddruckers. It was perfect for them, she felt. They could stuff their faces, and busy their usual noises selves without feeling like they should be quiet. And it had awesome food, so she was sold. She had pulled out Caitlin’s seat before taking her own, and her girlfriend’s giggles at this made it clear she was just as amused as Dena was.
“I’m so hungry.” she grinned, greedily eyeing off the menu in front of her. “Too much to choose from, how can I pick?” Laughing, she let her eyes move from the menu to the even more appealing Caitlin. “I can’t wait to try on the costume. It’s going to be so much fun tomorrow!”

"Omigod, isn't it?!" Caitlin agreed enthusiastically. "I totally can't wait to see how everyone reacts, they're gonna be so like, dude, I don't even. Totally stunned by how much we rock, y'know?"
She scanned the menu quickly, then pushed back her chair and grabbed Dena by the hand. "So get a burger and put everything on it," She reasoned, dragging the other girl up to the order counter. "Then if we're still hungry we'll order more. Or maybe get ice cream!"
Their order was put in, then delivered to them open faced so they could dress them as they wished. "Nacho, nacho I wanna nacho burger!" Caitlin sang as she dumped as much of everything at the toppings bar as possible onto her burger. "This is gonna be the most rockin' burger ever!" She informed her girlfriend, then, "Finished! Race back to the table!" She giggled, attempting to beat Dena to the table without dropping her burger on the floor, a task that was much more difficult than she'd thought it would be.
"Yum! Time to eat!!" She announced, dropping into her seat before the other girl could hold it for her a second time. "Sorry, babe, I'm starving! Can't wait on you!" She giggled. "But seriously, this is the best date ever. It's like you knew that Fuddruckers was my favorite place to eat! After El Pollo Loco. We should go there tomorrow, for like dinner or something, I'll beg money off my parents." She offered, "They owe me for cleaning the bathrooms last week anyway, for serious, like I'd ever do that for free."

Dena agreed that they both were going to stun everyone tomorrow, but not only because they were going to rock, though that was guaranteed. A few, weird, boring people would stare because they were dressed up in costumes, while most people, Dena could imagine, would be staring because they would be in skimpy costumes, and would look (especially Caitlin) all kinds of cute. That’s why she loved costumes, they were so fun to dress up in and look cute in, and all but guaranteed attention. And she loved her attention.
Before she could even sort out a few possibilities about what to have, her girlfriend was already pulling her away and towards the food, with as much enthusiasm as the food deserved. “That’s a great idea!” she admitted cheerily. Now that the idea was in her head, she had to have a burger. Pilled as high as humanly possible. “Mmm, ice cream. I’m sold.”
Following Caitlin’s lead, she pilled everything in sight right on top of her burger, currently not thinking about how she was going to manage to eat the growing tower of a burger. It was all just a minor problem anyway, and when it came to pretty girls and food, she let nothing get in her way.
As immersed in the burger making as she was, she almost missed the other girl calling for a race back to their seats. “What? Oh!” she quickly realised, giggling as she chased after Caitlin, managing to reach the table just a fraction of a second too late to beat her. “No fair, you had a head start.” she joked, poking her tongue out.
“That’s not fair either!” she pointed out as she took her own seat, eyeing off her dinner in considerable hunger. “You’re meant to let me pull your chair out. How am I meant to...woo you otherwise?” she teased, as she very carefully placed the top bun onto the packed burger. She was glad she picked right with the place though, but Caitlin was pretty fun, so she figured it was a good guess. Caitlin was just pretty, full stop. “I love El Pollo Loco! Of course I’ll go tomorrow! You just can’t get enough of me, that’s it.” Dena teased. “Well, I’m happy to oblige.”
Just as she was about to take a bite of the monstrous burger, one she had no idea how she managed to hold, Caitlin’s cleaning comment made her pause, pulling a look of disgust. “Really? My parents couldn’t pay me to do that! You are too good to them!” she grinned, giving a playful shudder.
Unable to wait any longer, she gave in, taking a huge chunk from the burger, moaning as she chewed. She waited until she swallowed before she attempted to speak again, more out of fear of choking than actually being polite. “That is the best burger ever! Or at least, in the top five.” she seceded, feeling like she had eaten more than enough burgers in her life to be able to comment on this with some authority.
“Okay, I might not be able to fit into the Yuna costume after I eat this. And the ice cream.” she giggled. “It’s totally worth it. I haven’t been bowling in ages. The last time I went, I think I went really bad. It’ll still be so fun!” she decided. “I hope lots of people show up. And more than us in costume. Though, knowing my brothers, they’ll be there, and dressed up, for sure.”

"Hey! Maybe I'm supposed to woo you, ever think of that?" Caitlin pointed out between a mouthful of burger. While she hadn't exactly angsted over liking girls (even if she hadn't told her family yet) she also hadn't quite thought out the relationship dynamics. Neither she nor Dena could accurately be described as butch so she didn't think they should attempt to force themselves into the prescribed gender roles that heterosexual couples had long ago deemed appropriate; it just wouldn't make any sense. But she wasn't sure how to work out who opened doors or drove (well, neither of them could drive so that wasn't actually an issue) or was the spokesperson to the world at large.
"Oh no! You're onto me!" Her gasp of horror was ruined by a fit of giggles. "Of course I can't get enough of you! You're awesome! And gorgeous! And awesome." She pointed out. She felt that everyone else should be painfully jealous when word got out that she'd snagged the lovely Dena Zouvelekis. After all, what girl wouldn't want to date a super fun (and really hot!) reality TV star? Other than a straight one, of course.
She had to agree with Dena's statement that she was a good daughter, "Yeah, they're lucky. Not like I get any help, either!" She sniffed at the supposed slovenliness of her sibilngs, though a fair assessment would have found that her siblings put in just as much, if not more, work into chores than Caitlin.
At the mention of Dena's brothers she nearly dropped the burger she was holding. "Oh yeah! I forgot to actually text them." She remembered, "or...umm...anyone else, for that matter." Their idea might work better if she actually contacted people, instead of just expecting them to read her mind and show up. "Hold on, I'll do that real quick." She promised, whipping out her phone. "Cause yeah, we're awesome and all, but it'd be awesomer if other people came too."

“No, I didn’t.” Dena quickly admitted, the nearly ever present grin broadening on her lips. “But I wouldn’t complain if you wanted to woo me. That would be fun!” Giggling, she playfully reached out her leg under the table to nudge Caitlin’s foot with her own. “We should woo each other! So...what do you have to do to woo someone anyway? Just buy them presents and take them out? Cause we’ve been doing that for each other for ages! We must be really good at it then!”
When Caitlin started giggling, it just spurned Dena on to do more of the same, until half the room had their attention momentarily caught by the two young girls in fits of giggles, both failing at trying to get themselves under control. The compliments her new girlfriend threw at her helped though, until she wasn’t as much giggling as blushing instead. She didn’t blush often, but it seemed as though the other girl managed to hit the right note. “Thanks.” she grinned appreciatively. “But, if you think I’m awesome and gorgeous, you should see my beautiful girlfriend. She easily tops me.”
“Siblings.” Dena snorted, taking another bite of her burger and chewing thoughtfully before explaining this further. “Celest is pretty good, but the others, they don’t do anything! Especially Brandon, he’s the worst.” Of course, she didn’t feel the need, especially as she didn’t see it that way, to include herself in that group, even though she did probably as much work around the house as Brandon. She was far too busy for all that after all. What, with Caitlin, looking up Caitlin’s videos on YouTube, her astronomy, and so many other things. She was too busy to bother with unimportant things like vacuuming and dusting.
She laughed as Caitlin remembered she forgot to tell other people about their plan to dress up tomorrow for bowling. It certainly would be more effective if other people knew about it after all. So as she messaged people, Dena was more than content to munch on her far too delicious burger. She was just over halfway through and she was already getting pretty full, which was a sign of how much she had packed onto it. She was still going to go for some ice cream afterwards. She would never knock back ice cream.
“It would be awesomer.” she agreed. “Because even if the people who dress up with us are awesome, and they will be for sure, they won’t match us for awesome factor, so it’ll just make us look even more awesome, if that’s even possible.” she laughed before munching some more.
The date was going really well, and given that they would be spending the night together, even if it would be a mostly innocent night spent together, she was still glad she decided to pack her cutest pyjamas in the bag they dropped off at Caitlin’s house before they went out to dinner. And thinking about her pyjamas made her really eager to see Caitlin’s in hers. In a completely innocent way, of course.
“So, what did you want to do tonight, besides trying on costumes, of course.” she asked, before finishing her last bite of burgery-goodness. “We could maybe watch a movie. Or you could give me a personal demonstration of one of your YouTube videos.” Dena teased.

Caitlin slid her phone back into her pocket once her texts were sent, returning her attentions to her burger. "Mmmmm. Don't forget ice cream!" She chided as Dena listed their activities for the night. "I want mint chocolate chip! or maybe pistachio. Or the cotton candy flavored one with all the colors." She hadn't even finished her dinner, and already her mind was on dessert, which was probably a good thing since making a decision on such important topics took time. Maybe by the time the pair made it to an ice cream shop she'd actually have an idea of what she wanted -- but probably not.
"Omigod! A demonstration?! That's a great idea!" She enthused between mouthfuls of delicious burger. "No, wait, I got a better one! We should totally do one together! It'd be super keen! We could do something in our costumes, even, we'd get tons of hits." She decided happily.
"And Palmer'll be glad to film it," She added, leaning across the table to whisper conspiratorially, "He's totally into you, he was way disappointed you don't date boys. But don't tell him I said anything." She grinned as she leaned back in her chair; she and Palmer always liked the same girls, but usually he had (slightly) more luck than she did on account of more girls identifying as heterosexual than otherwise. Not that either of them had too much luck, however; she was the first one of the triplets to actually acquire anyone steady. Palmer was going to be so jealous, which meant she intended to rub it in. Regan wouldn't care, though -- she claimed that high school relationships were meaningless and dumb and that she was above such petty concerns. Caitlin seriously wanted her to fall for someone big time, just so she would understand how serious relationships really were.
"Then after, we can watch Strawberry Panic. Oh, or have you seen Kashimashi? I just saw the first episode, it seemed cute. Though I kinda hope aliens don't land on me and give me a sex change operation, that'd be strange. And I kinda like being a girl." She opined, though about one week out of every month she claimed to hate being a girl and wondered why she couldn't have been born a boy. But it would have been rougher being a boy, she figured, since people would probably look down on her interest in Sanrio and Twilight and cute things and dancing around in skimpy clothes.
People already insisted that both her brothers were gay just because they were scene, and while she didn't think that was such a problem being gay and all herself, she knew that Palmer hated it. Graham mostly shrugged it off, but then he not only had a girlfriend to combat this claim but he was less interested in defending his honor. He claimed not to care if people thought he was gay, which Caitlin supposed was admirable. Palmer, for his part, was fairly certain those rumors were wrecking all chances of getting a girlfriend.
"It'll be fun. I might even let you kiss me!"

“Cotton candy! I haven’t tried that one yet, I have to try it!” Dena exclaimed, and if the way she yelled this across the table didn’t give away how excited she was at the prospect of this new flavour she was yet to discover, the way she bounced around in her chair surely did. “I love cookies and cream though, how am I meant to pick between them? I know, I know, I won’t! I’ll get some of both!” She grinned at this, thinking it was just about the best idea she ever came up with, until another thought occurred to her and she pulled a look of pure annoyance. “But I love cookie dough choc chip too! I’m going to be so full from ice cream.”
She didn’t think Caitlin would be so keen to take her up on her suggestion of a...personal demonstration, but the bright and victorious grin that quickly lit her face dimmed somewhat (after her girlfriend mentioned they could ‘do it’ together) when she realised that Caitlin didn’t mean it in quite the way that she hoped she meant it. So, it would be a lost more G rated than Dena was after, but still, she had to admit, it sounded like it would be so much fun. And getting her Caitlin dressed up one night early would be hot of course.
It wasn’t long though until she was completely sold on the idea. The mention of costumes would do that to her every time. “We would, so many! Let’s do it!” Of course, the idea didn’t occur to her in the slightest that the reason why they might get so many hits was not because of anything they did in the clip, but more due to the fact that they were two cute girls dressed up in costumes. The fact that Caitlin was more than cute had been the reason Dena had become such a devoted fan of her clips in the first place.
“He will? Awesome!” Dena grinned, taking Caitlin’s volunteering of Palmer as a sure sign the guy would be more than happy to spend his Friday night filming his sister and her girlfriend dressed up and dancing around her room. “I won’t say a thing to him.” she giggled conspiratorially. Of course, she had a bit of a clue before that Caitlin wasn’t the only Alderman who liked her. And while she did think it was kind of sweet, and of course very flattering, Palmer was just too...manly for her liking. She was more than happy with his very hot sister. “No, never seen Kashimashi.” Dena admitted, just a little impressed that she managed to say that right the first time. “I’m happy to try it. And I kinda like you being a girl too.” she grinned. “I don’t think I would think you’re as cute as Rikku if you weren’t.” Not to mention she wouldn’t appreciate the lack of girl parts.
“You’ll let me kiss you? If I dress up, dance around, eat ice cream and watch anime? That’s the best reward ever!” Dena laughed now, her eyes bright with amusement as her gaze unintentionally slipped and lingered on her girlfriend’s lips for just a few seconds. She really wanted to kiss her, now that Caitlin got the idea stuck in her head. “We should do this every night!”
With dinner all done, she was really keen to continue with the rest of the night, and hopefully get to the kissing part soon. And the ice cream, she really liked ice cream. “Wanna go for ice cream now?” she asked, nudging Caitlin’s foot again. “I think I’ve just about managed to work it down to cookies & cream and cookie dough. But that’s because I’m hoping you’ll get cotton candy, and I can have all three!” she joked.
“I really can’t wait for bowling tomorrow. I hope everyone dresses up, it’ll be so fun. Celest better not change her mind, it would look so good to have all of us looking really cute.” She decided, moving around where she sat, keen to get going. “We should go to the arcade early though, so we can have a rematch of Dance Dance Revolution.”
“It’ll be fun. I might even let you hold my hand.”

"Yep, aren't you lucky!" Caitlin giggled, though of course she wanted to kiss Dena just as much as the other girl wanted to kiss her. But it was fun to pretend she was being gracious by allowing Dena the honor of kissing her.
"Oh, every night! What a great idea!" She enthused; she couldn't think of a better way to spend her evenings than hanging around with Dena, pigging out on junk food and watching anime and dancing around her bedroom. And since Dena was a bigger celebrity than she was, she'd get that many more hits on her youtube channel than she did when she performed solo, so that couldn't be a bad thing, either.
She nearly rocketed out of her chair when her girlfriend suggested they head for ice cream immediately. "Oh, hell yes!" She grinned, as though she hadn't just scarfed down a burger loaded with every topping available. "Okay, I'll definitely get the cotton candy for sure, if you let me have some of yours." She agreed, deciding that this arrangement was quite excellent, as it meant she got to try three different types of ice cream. Or maybe four -- if Dena was getting two flavors, then she ought to get two as well.
She nodded her head in vigorous approval when Dena announced that bowling would be fun, "Yeah, don't let Celest spoil things! We gotta all be dressed up or it won't be as funny. And maybe someone will take pics, I need some new ones for Myspace." She decided; she hoped she could get a really cute one with Dena tonight, when they were trying on costumes.
"Oh? Maybe I'll hold your hand now." She announced as she grabbed the other girl's hand, eager to continue their trek. Now that they'd decided on ice cream, she was impatient to get started. "C'mon, we don't go now the ice cream'll be all gone by the time we get there." She claimed, trying to pull Dena out of her seat.

“I suppose, seeing how I’m going to try to steal as much of yours as possible, you could have a bit of mine.” Dena compromised with a smirk, though she knew it was likely they would end up eating more of each other’s than their own anyway, which suited her just fine. Any ice cream was good ice cream, and she had a feeling that they would be going through a lot of it tonight. Which also suited her. Caitlin and a ton of ice cream, that was the makings of a great night. And if you added costumes and a possible make out session of top of that, it had the makings of the best night ever.
“Nah, she won’t spoil it. She likes dressing up in costumes too! Usually fancy ones and stuff, like medieval dresses and things like that, but they’re really cute. She makes them herself.” Dena explained. “So I think she will. And with Jack. And everyone else will get dressed up too, I just know it! Why wouldn’t they? It’s going to be so much fun!” Being one to seek out attention, and love it, she honestly didn’t see why anyone wouldn’t want to get dressed up in costume if given the chance. Sure she knew that her sister wasn’t like her when it came to attention, but still, she did like costumes, so why wouldn’t she dress up?
“Yep, we need lots and lots of photos! I’ll borrow someone’s camera, or use my phone, I can take good photos on it.” she suggested, just as keen to have something to remember the awesome day by. Besides, with so many people sure to be dressed up, it was mandatory to take as many photos of that, and people acting silly, as possible. “I should really update my MySpace page too. It’s so difficult being so pretty and popular, isn’t it?” she giggled.
Her small laugh just got louder as Caitlin took her hand and pulled her away from her chair. She didn’t protest, she was just as eager to get to the ice cream and then back to Caitlin’s house. “You’re right! Mean people might clean out the whole place before we get there! We have to be quick! Lucky it’s close, we can make a run for it.”
And so that’s what she did, pulling Caitlin along this time as they rushed out, heading for the ice cream parlour in an attempt to get there before all the ‘mean people’ ate all the ice cream first, or even worse, ate all the good flavours and left only the boring ones left for them, like vanilla. Reaching the store, she dragged her girlfriend inside, rushing up to the counter. And breathlessly, she placed her order, waiting for Caitlin to do the same so they could get their yummy treats. All that running had made her hungry again.
