At the Mall - Christophe (tag Lia)

Christophe bent closer to the display of a small group of chicken-sized dinosaurs and he tilted his head a little to one side, trying to work out if they were the compies he knew played a large role in one of the Jurassic Park films. Possibly so but he couldn't be certain as the nameplate describing them was around the other side of the stand.

He hlaf glanced up at Lia from his crouched position when he heard her phone warble into life. A text, it seemed. He straightened as she finished reading and offered the invitation for the following day's bowling get-together.

"I have nothing on tomorrow, Llyria, and as long as you aren't already sick of my company I would love to go with you," he said in response. It would be a good way to meet other people as well as he'd only managed to do that with a handful so far at school. Perhaps some of the boys from the boat would even be there? Connor, Kian, Evan and Patch. It would be good to catch up with them again even though their escape from class had only been yesterday.

"What time shall we meet and where?" he asked. "Bear in mind I only really know the shopping mall!" he added with a grin. "Oh, now also the aquarium, of course. Is the bowling place near to the mall?" Failing that he could easily find out either by using google maps or getting directions direct from Lia.

"It is closer to the Aquarium in Venice Beach where I live. If you want we could meet and I could show you how to get there. Would you like to wear a costume, I might have something you could wear. My mother keeps everything and she has some costumes from photo shoots? We could look when you take me home, eventually," lia offered, glad to help out if i tmeant more time in his company. "These look like movie miniatures don't they?" She chuckled and reached out to stroke the replica lizards.

Christophe hadn't even considered wearing a costume, he had to admit. Lia probably knew everyone else attending the bowling session where as he would know virtually just a couple. He wasn't at all sure he'd feel at ease trying to join in to that extent.

"I admit I'm not too sure about dressing up," he admitted. "Perhaps as this is the first time I am meeting most of these people I should go in my normal clothes? Or would that be even worse?" Perhaps he'd fit in even less that way! It was a difficult situation to find himself in and he honestly didn't know which way to take. "Meeting up first is a great idea, though!" he enthused. "I will come and call for you at your house tomorrow. Bien!" he stated with a bright smile.

Chrsistophe leaned down to peer once more at the small models. "So lifelike. It's almost as if.... LOOK OUT! It's going to bite!"

He laughed when Lia leapt back and grabbed her hand away from the lizards and he threw her a grin when she scowled up at him. He could tell she wasn't truly angry and he offered an apology in return... only ruining it when he laughed anew half way through it!

All too soon it was time to head off from the aquarium but with dinner still ahead of them Christophe knew their day was far from over. All in all it had been most pleasant and he and Llyria had been relaxed in each other's company. It boded well for tomorrow but whether he'd join in the masqerade part of the afternoon remained to be seen...
