Alex had sent a text message to Greg asking to meet for lunch today. She would be picking up Kai in a few hours, so she decided to ask Greg to Lunch. Alex had also texted Jude in case she wanted to show up. Sure Alex kind of wanted to be alone with Greg. Maybe get to know him better, but she would not leave Jude out just to do that. If Jude joined them, then that was great.
Alex had contemplated texting Ashley. She felt bad not inviting him, but wouldn't that make this awkward. Alex was suppose to be trying to move on from Ashely, so to invite him to lunch seemed to defeat that purpose. Of course if Alex knew Ashley still might have feelings for her, she would be rethinking everything. Although Alex was trying to be fair to Greg, which was why she was just his friend....for now. That and they had not even kissed or anything. For all Alex knew Greg only though of her as a friend and nothing else.
Alex sent a message telling Greg she was at some place called Hooligans or something like that. She took a seat waiting for him, or anyone to show. She hated eating alone. Alex looked over the menu. It was so different then England it was not funny. Alex was not sure what she wanted and was so lost in trying to figure out what was the difference between a chicken wing and chicken fingers she had no idea someone walked over to her.

Greg was at the mall searching for something for Kai. He was clueless as to what to get for a two year old. He wanted something that said he wanted to be friends but he also didn't want to spend a huge amount. He popped into a Disney Store and browsed till he saw the stuffed animals. His eyes fell upon a Winnie the Pooh. That would be perfect, after all what kid didn't like Pooh bear? He made his purchase and head out when his phone went off.
He saw the message from Alex. He quickly sent a message back, 'At the mall, be there soon.' Now he had to get something for her. She was a bit easier, if he followed his mother's advice, "You can't go wrong with candy." Thankfully there was a candy shop nearby, where he picked up a sampler box of chocolate.
Once he finished, he made the drive to Hooligans. It wasn't a favorite of his but he didn't mind being able to spend time with Alex. He pulled into the lot and grabbed the bag of treats and headed inside.
He saw Alex looking over the menu as he approached her. "I'd do the double cheese burger if your really hungry!"

Alex look up after she slightly jumped from hearing a voice. She smiled as she saw Greg. Alex stood up and walked around the table to give him a hug. "Gregory I am pleaed you showed up. I was not sure what places were good in Californa, so I hope I choose well." She had never even heard of a Hooligans. So this was new.
Alex had been in New York, so she could tell Gregory all abot New York, but Californa has a much more relaxd atmosphere. She was enjoying the warmth and the beach. Kai loved it too, which was a plus. "I will have to consider your suggeston. I have been viewing this menu for a while and I cannot not bloddy hell make up my mind." She said with a smile and a small laugh.
Alex sat back down. "Is your afternoon going well? I surely hope so." She asked him, her british accent light and airy. "I must say I believe I have finally learned how a cell phone works. You would think i would know, but techology continues to elude me." She was glad she was doing this. Sure she was nervous, but it was getting easier and greg was so easy to feel comfortable around.

Greg hugged Alex back. "It's my pleasure. This place is all right, not the top of my list but its better to make your own judgments instead of listening to others." He pulled her chair out and waited for her to sit before taking his own seat.
"Hope your hungry, the double cheeseburger is huge. Although we could split it, this will be my treat." He looked around. "I though Kai would be with you I picked up a couple things," he reached into the bag. "And something for you." He handed her the chocolates. "Hope these are good."
"Yeah it has been good, I've been looking forward to this. It beats sitting at home doing homework." He laughed. "Don't get used to it, one you do, they'll change something on the phone so you have to relearn something. Just like with computers." A waitress came over and took their drink orders, Greg ordered a large chocolate Oreo shake. "In good company, the calories don't count!" This made the waitress chuckle, she then took Alex's drink order and went off to get them. "I wasn't sure if Kai had a favorite stuffed toy so I got him one." He took the stuffed Pooh from the bag.

"I am rather famished." She told Greg. Alex took the chocolates and smiled. "Why thank you. I wish I could return the favor and give you a gift. I never considered getting you one. But thank you. I really do love this." She told him. Alex looked up and looked at Greg as he ordered. "Well if calories is not an option then we must enjoy a banana split. I have come to be addicted to those. The concoction is rather strange." She said with light laugh.
"I was suppose to have Kai, but his grandparents wanted to spend more time with him, but if you are willing to put up with me for the rest of the day...I am going to pick Kai up tonight. He will love the animal. Kai is very fond of gifts that he can squeeze." Alex said. She could not stop smiling around Greg. She ordered a chocolate and strawberry milkshake.
"Wait they actually change the cellular phone. But I just learned how to use mine." Had Alex knew how to use her phone she would have known the surprise that just showed up at her table.
All the sudden a strong sounding manly voice could be heard with a thick British accent, "Hello Alexandra...you are a very difficult child to find." The man looked at the young man with Alex, "Well he is defiantly a step in a better direction."
Alex eyed the man and sat back, "Hello to you too father."
