Anibal huddled morosely on the beach, staring out at the waves. Telling Carter had helped, a little, but he couldn't shake the misery that losing Jorge had brought upon him. Neither of his sisters really understood him the way that Jorge had, and while Hiroshi was close in age they really had nothing in common. His step-brother didn't understand his gender issues. Then again, not many people did so he just didn't bother explaining. It was easier to just say he was a boy, and that was that. If he kept his shirt on at all times and didn't change with his teammates, well, they were supposed to understand he had a condition. Even now, out on the beach, he was one of the few with a t-shirt on, covering his bindings.
After a moment movement caught his eye. He recognized that dark, dyed-black hair and effeminate build as belonging to a boy who had occupied his thoughts for weeks now, a boy in his grade who had done murder and hadn't paid for it.
"Eh! Assassino!" He shouted, dashing across the sand and leaping at his enemy, attempting to pummel the other with fists. Both were slight, though Jandro had more of an advantage in that area, being naturally male and thus slightly taller. Anibal, however, spent more time at the gym and on the soccer field and also had the element of surprise, so they were perhaps evenly matched.

"¡Qué! ¡Consiga de mí!" Jandro yelled before being pummelled to the ground unexpectedly. Usually he only got attacked on school days so he had relaxed his guard. Jandro was not strong but he was fast and could usually avoid such altercations by running. The body pinning him to the ground was smaller than he was used to as it was usually jocks trying to break his legs. They seemed to object to his dancing everywhere. He hadn't been dancing this time though. He had just been walking and thinking about Teddy whom he was missing. ¡Déjeme solo, freza del diablo! I wasn' t que le incomoda!" he muttered, trying to avoid a mouthful of sand. There was something odd about the body on top of him but he was too busy trying to get away to work it out.

"Assassino!" Anibal repeated, trying to shove Jandro's face into the ground. The other boy spoke funny, choosing words that Anibal only comprehended from context. Perhaps he was speaking European Portuguese? Or maybe Spanish? Either way, it was close enough that he sort of understood that the other boy claimed to have done nothing to him. This was a lie, however. "Você é a descendência do diabo! Você matou meu irmão! Coma areia!"
He was knocked off by Jandro's squirming, but determinedly launched himself at the other again, slamming the other against the ground. Today he would get his vengeance; not quite as satisfying as seeing the other Freshman locked away by the police and his face plastered all over the news so that the whole world would know he was a nasty murderer -- in Anibal's fantasy the news did not bother with the fact that Jorge had been holding another student hostage -- but still, much more satisfying than allowing the dark-haired youth to escape. It wasn't fair that Jorge was lying in the ground, a cold dead body, while Jandro was laughing here under the blue sky with not a care in the world.
"Para Jorge!" He snarled, aiming his fist at Jandro's too pretty face. Oh, he would get his revenge...

"Jorge shot my brother! He is blinded now!Jandro managed to squirm so he was face up and stared in aw at the very pretty young man who had him pinned. "I was just trying to save my brother. I didn't mean to kill yours." This was the honest truth so Jandro didn't have to struggle to sound convincing, instead he struggled with deciphering what was odd about Anibal. "You're a girl!" he exclaimed in a low voice, that had a tinge of disappointment in the expression. Anibal made a very pretty boy and Jandro did like pretty boys.

Anibal stiffened with resentment when Jandro called him a girl. This might have been technically true, if one meant biological sex to be the only true indicator of gender, but Anibal most certainly did not. "Am not!" He sulked, lapsing into English as the other did, and crossing his hands over his chest -- and immediately discovering thereby that his bindings were loose. "Ai, maldito!" Hands hurried behind his back to try and fix this as best he could without actually taking off his shirt.
"So you killed him! You should go to jail!" Anibal averred, loyalty to his brother preventing him from taking a more common sense approach to the situation. Jorge had been involved in criminal activities, but he didn't think that was a very good reason for him to have died. Had he been in Jandro's shoes, he would have completely understood, but he wasn't and thus didn't.
"And I'm not a girl. If you tell anyone I'll smash your face in." He warned, contradicting his earlier assertion that he wasn't female. He hadn't expected Jandro to notice, but then he'd also expected the bindings to hold up. They'd gotten such good reviews, too, but perhaps the other customers hadn't been getting into physical altercations.

Seeing Anibal glance down at her chest, Jandro smiled. "It wasn't them that gave you away. You should stuff your panties especially if you're going to pin down a gay teenager," He said with a slight sneer. "You're missing the one thing that makes this kind of thing fun... Oh yeah this isn't supposed to be fun."

Anibal narrowed his eyes at Jandro before standing and dusting himself off. "Como interessante. Penso que é tempo para você para morrer agora." He informed the other boy flatly, lapsing back into Portuguese. This was precisely why he wasn't up front about his transgenderism; people were infuriatingly ignorant, blindly wed to the idea of a binary gender system. Jandro was already blacklisted, but his blatant intolerance made Anibal that much more determined to hurt him, and hurt him badly. And he claimed to be gay! He should have more sympathy than the average prisoner of heteronormativity. After all, they were both gender outlaws. Then again, the pretty white-looking effeminate male was a more acceptable expression of this rebellion than any other non-straight identity. Apparently boys who looked and acted like girls were less of a threat to the heteronormative binary gender laws than anyone else.
One of the really useful things about soccer was that it involved lots and lots of kicking, and as he currently wanted nothing better than to kick Jandro repeatedly in the face all that practice was about to pay off. "Isto é para a morte do sistema sexual binário, bastardo!" He growled, aiming his feet at Jandro's face. He was bound and determined that Jandro's dental bills were going to be sky high when he was done.
"E também para Jorge!" He had already thirsted for blood because of Jorge, but now he had his own personal vendetta to address -- he would teach Jandro, both to murder his brother and to exclude his transgender brothers from equality -- it was LGBTQ, not LGBTQ.

Jandro was quite happy with his face arranged the way it was, so when Anibal drew back his foot in preparation to kick him, he twisted and propelled himself upwards to land on his feet. Facing Anibal, he felt kind of bad for mocking him. "Listen I'm sorry, I have no idea what it must feel like to be born in the wrong body. I would be pissed off too. If I can help in any way, let me know. If its in my abilities I will do it. I didn't mean to kill your brother. I was worried about Saint and scared and I didn't know I was that strong. Please, this will ruin your life. Being arrested really sucks. That stuff about full body searches they talk about on TV... they really do that. It wasn't at all enjoyable either! And I have already suffered. I have to watch my brother everyday have to rely on a dog because he cannot see for himself. He wants to die because he can't paint anymore and I was too late to stop him being shot. Every day I carry that guilt. I am sorry I took your brother from you. Please don't make Saint suffer more because I am dead. My twin sister... she will feel my pain, she is completely innocent, don't do this to her, please!"

Anibal snorted in contempt when Jandro began to apologize. Groveling to get out of a beating was pure weakness, what an idiot. As if he was going to believe the other boy was truly sorry for his actions or his words. Not likely! He hadn't acted sorry in the least, not until threatened with foot to face. If he'd been sorry he wouldn't have continued prancing around the school as if he thought they were in a musical or something.
"You'll have to do so much more groveling if you think that's gonna placate me." He snarled. "Go ahead, kill my brother and mock me, then expect me to fall for your honeyed-words. Apologies won't bring Jorge back. And neither will kicking you in the face, but kicking you'll make me feel better." He reasoned. "Se o estado não servirá à justiça então o farei."
He rolled his eyes at the talk of his pooooor innocent siblings. "Idiota. Não estou indo matá-lo. Somente quero que você sofra." Which, of course, he was currently not doing a good job of, as he was chatting. With a murderer! Really he was the idiot, letting himself be distracted!
With a growl he resumed his attempts to kick Jandro...

Jandro's eyes glittered with every insult. He really was quick and as Anibal was yelling at him, he caught his foot and pulled it to overbalance him onto the shifting sand of the beach. "A beach is not a soccer field Anibal, the footing is not as sure," he said thought he knew it was likely to anger her more. "You should try to think with more logic and less emotion if you're trying to act like a male. testosterone doesn't mislead us the way estrogen does.
