Thin lips curl upwards in a cruel smile, and seem to both seduce and mock those on the receiving end.
Personality: Shrewd and highly intelligent, Ralphael D'Aubert nevertheless possesses an undying contempt for human beings, society, and himself that stems from the traumatic string of events that occured during his life as an orphan in 'The Rose Garden' -- a Catholic orphanage ran by a trio of pedophile priests.
In his mind, he views the entire world as scum, and wishes nothing more than to rise above the majority of "life's little shits" using whatever means possible. A cunning individual with an air of dark charisma about him, he knows how to use seduction and persuasion to his advantage, and is not above destroying a person's life for minor gains.
On the flip side, the tremendous amounts of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse he's endured at the "Rose Garden" has deeply scarred his psyche and left him in a perpetual black hole of despair and isolation that causes even to question his own sanity at times. Frequent flashbacks and nightmares torment him on a daily basis, driving him to the edge of madness on some days. Through a tremendous amount of self restraint, he manages to control the his wild impulses.. But occasionally explodes in a murderous rage. As a skilled Savateur (practioner of 'French kickboxing'), he loves nothing more than delivering a well-aimed 'whip' kick to the liver of whichever unlucky bastard pushed him off the edge.

Family Background and History: Catherine Poussaint, a twenty-two year old single mother, died while giving birth to Raphael, and practically left him to the state's care due to the lack of known relatives on her part. From an early age, he came to realize the cruelty and harshness of the world, and swore to never make himself dependant on any person for his survival.
Following his brief stay at a state-run nursery, he was shifted to the "Rose Garden", a Catholic Orphanage run by a trio of pedophile priests. What followed would be the ten most horrific years of his life, as the young Raphael was subjected (along with many others) to a contagion of rape, molestation, and abuse.
He was adopted at the age of twelve by a wealthy (and childless) French businessman looking for an heir to his banking empire, Raphael was promptly given a first-rate education in the skills of a true "renaissance man", and positively flourished in mathematics, English, and Savate -- a particularly vicious style of French kickboxing which he's quite adept at.
