Character Name: Jackson Louis Chandler
Nickname: Jack to most
Age: 14
Birthday: 4/4/94
Place of birth: Pasadena, CA
School: Gould
Grade: Freshman
Appearance: Jack is a serious looking kid. He stands about 5'6" and is a bit on the skinnier side, but his steely blue eyes seem filled with intent and focus. His brown hair tends to be a bit wild, however, softening his look a bit.
He dresses nicely, usually wearing khakis and collared shirts, and sometimes even a blazer. He owns many dress shoes, but only one pair of sneakers.
Personality: Most kids view Jack as snobby, but the truth is he is just shy. He puts his focus into his schoolwork and his other activities, and so doesn't really go out of his way to make new friends. He sticks with the friends he has for the most part.
His shyness disappears in a public forum, however. For some reason, when he's speaking politic, his confidence shines through and he can seem quite eloquent and likable.
On the outside, he seems very straight-laced. On the inside, however, he likes to have fun, though he is worried about doing things that may upset his parents. In particular, he strives to get the attention of his father, whom he sees very little of.
Town Area: Downtown LA
Job: None
Transportation: None
Family Background and History: Wendell Chandler, 45, father - Founder and CEO of Chandler Medical Technologies, one of Forbes' Top 50 in Drugs and Biotechnology in 2007.
Ellen Hart, 42, mother - Associate Director of Patient Services, California Hospital Medical Center.
Jackson's parents met attending college at NYU, and when Wendell moved back to his hometown Ellen came with. They were married shortly after, though both put themselves into their work before deciding to start a family. After Wendell had successfully set up CMT, the pair decided it was time for a child and Jackson was born.
Ellen yearned to get back to work, however, and Wendell found the company taking more and more of his time. The strain on their relationship was too much. When Jackson was eight, his parents went through and ugly divorce and he moved with his mother to a penthouse in Downtown LA. Though his father had free visitation rights, Jackson rarely saw the man.
In school, Jackson strove to succeed and impress his parents, who set incredibly high standards for him. He got into student politics in middle school and found his niche, being elected president his 7th and 8th grade years.
He ran for Freshman class president when he started high school, but lost out and merely gained a position on the council at large. His parents hardly batted an eye at the news.
Jack's frustration is starting to come to a head, and with some of his recent friendships is starting to delve into hijinkery, which has at the least gotten his parents' attention.

Likes: He likes to feel relaxed, though he rarely is, corn dogs, attention, success, reading, comics, video games, order, friends, girls, essay questions, pancakes, pizza, most food, tv.
Dislikes: His parents' overworked schedules, being alone in his home, too much pressure, root beer (it's so gross!), failure, movies that people like because they're bad (THEY'RE BAD!), when it's waaaay too hot, sweating too much when you're not doing anything active, talking to strangers individually.
