Land of Dreams PRT1 (Jade, Tag Jere)

The first thing Jade noticed when he woke up was that was not in his own bed, or for that matter in a bed in a traditional sense anyway. Jade groaned as his should told him it wasn't particularly fond of him right now. Jade sat up of the bed looking around at the blurry out line of the room grasping for his bag to get his glasses out of them. He couldn't be fussed with sorting out his contacts so settled for his glasses then painkillers. Thought the pain was somewhat lessened he still wanted and needed something for the pain in his shoulder.

Pulling on his jogging bottoms he exited the bedroom and headed to the bathroom, the house was a lot more cosy and smaller or so it seemed to him anyway. But he liked it he could hear movement downstairs so he knew that someone else was awake.

A few minutes later he re-entered the bedroom, and decided to wake Jeremy up, he didn't fancy going down stairs to face his family alone. No matter how much he liked them, he didn't know them that well at the moment, and he was pretty sure that Julia still hated his guts for the incident with Mike. In fairness he tried to get on with her for the sake of his boyfriend, but he wasn't if he would get acceptance or forgiveness any time soon. He sat down on the bed by Jeremy's head, "You know you should wake up now, I'm bored looking at your closed eyes." Jade said before kissing him on the lips and giving his should a light shake to wake the boy up.

Dinner had gone better than Jeremy expected. Then of course James had to show the baby pictures, including the one of Jeremy dressed like a pumpkin when he was a plump little guy. Jeremy wanted to sink down into the sofa and disappear with that picture.

It seemed a bit early when the clock struck 9pm but with breakfast being at 8am, Jeremy thought it best the two head to bed early. The day would be an early one and a full one at that.

Course it took sometime before the boys settled down for the night. It felt right this time though to Jeremy, there was no sneaking off to a hotel and spending the night. The family seemed to have accepted Jade, with the exception of Julia who was strangely quiet during dinner.

Jeremy hadn't heard Jade get up until he turned over and there was a warm area where a body had been. He closed his eyes once more as he heard Jade return.

He carefully snaked an arm around Jade's shoulders and kissed him deeply. He opened his eyes and smiled, "Now this is a wake up call I can go for."

Jade smiled back at him, "Well hello sailor, its good to know I can wake you easily for future reference." Jade said as he headed for his bag to retrieve his hearing aid he slipped it into place and turned the thing on sighing contently. "I think someone is already down stairs cooking breakfast, or doing something noisy anyway." Jade said as he turned back adjusting his glasses and took his seat back on the bed. "Sleep well?" he asked him.

Jade was normally quite happy to sleep a couple more hours on the weekend if he could get away with it, but he looked ready to go and run a marathon or something similar in nature. He thought his glasses made him look slightly geeky, but he didn't have anything to worry about around Jeremy. He didn't feel so self conscious when wearing them around Jeremy.

"Busy day today from what I here, at least the weather seems to have held out and we aren't likely to get very wet." Jade said to him. "It would be just my luck that the day we make plans that need good weather, that we should get bad weather." Jade said to him with a grin on his face. "So whats the plan oh gorgeous one?" Jade asked.

"It helps having a handsome face to wake up to." Jeremy replied with a sleepy smile on his face. He sat up in the bed, the sheet dropping to his waist. "Its probably my dad, making coffee, then eggs and toast for his breakfast. Its a weekend ritual for him. He'll take it to his den and eat as he writes." Every Saturday, like clockwork. "Like a baby, hope you slept well too."

He stretched and let out a yawn as well. "As great as this is, its not getting anything done." He got out of the bed and slipped his boxers on. "I'm going to take a quick shower and then I have something for you."

10 minutes later, Jeremy returned to his room. ""Ok much better." He slipped into an olive green t-shirt and jeans. "Now for what I was going to give you." He opened a drawer and took out a pin. "Nothing fancy or anything." It was a pin shaped with the famous three circles making Mickey's head then colored with the rainbow like on gay pride bumper stickers. "Just something to think of me in case we shouldn't be together."

While Jeremy was in the shower he exchanged his glasses for contacts, they were cheaper to replace if they fell out while on a ride. When the boy came back in he was fully dressed and spraying ample amounts of deoderant, and after shave, he smiled up at Jeremy after he was done. Then the gift it was cute, not to mention nice, he wasn't sure how often he could get away with wearing it when his parents were home but he would most certainly wear it when ever he could.

"Thanks... and it doesn't matter about value, its the thought that counts." Jade said with a smile on his face. "If your help I'll put it on." Jade added with a grin. "What do you have planned for breakfast, do you want to stay here and eat, or go find a cafe somewhere and have breakfast there?" Jade asked Jeremy with a smile his stomach rumbled at the thought of food and he smiled sheepishly. He wasn't one for cooking, so he didn't have the knowledge in the kitchen. He didn't want people waiting on him either, but what ever Jeremy was happy with he would go along with.

He was excited about today, it was not just spending the day at Disney but also spending it and the weekend with Jeremy. What more could he possibly ask for besides a holiday of course, a long holiday some where very hot. Nope he'd be happy with today and tomorrorw, relaxing and having fun along the way.

"It would be my pleasure." Jeremy replied. He unfastened the back which was a simple black rubber tipped end also shaped like Mickey's head. Once the pin was in its locale, Jeremy finished the ceremony by fastening the back on. "There we go, your first pin. Trust me when I you'll see people with a ton of pins like this. Mine is just a small comparison." He opened the bottom drawer of his dresser and took out his pin album. "Its a decent hobby."

"Ok lets make sure we have everything. Digital camera, check, pin portfolio, check, autograph book, check." He looked at Jade and grinned. "The most handsome man in the world, check." He wrapped his arms around him and kissed him tenderly.

"Actually, we have breakfast reservations IN the park for 9am at Minnie's Kitchen. Thankfully we can move into line right away with my passes, and before I forget don't worry about parking, I'll be using the employee lot which is secured and hidden from the public." He took Jade's hand and lead him downstairs.

"See ya dad, we're off." Jeremy told James.

"Wait a sec," James told the two. "Jade, if you need to rest or get hungry force this guy to stop otherwise he'll go till you both drop. Have fun boys." He gave them a smile and wink.

Jade followed Jeremy down the stairs smiling when he saw James, and laughed when the man told him to stop his son if he needed a rest. Truth was he was feeling a hell of a lot better today than he had been since being shot, maybe that had something to do with Jeremy, or maybe it was just because everything was healing the way it should be.

"I will do sir, I can be quite persuasive when I want to be." Jade said to him with a smile. "I promise your get him back in one piece tomorrow to." Jade said smiling. "Jeremy already has me wearing a pin for disney, well on the way to being converted." he pointed out.

Not that he had a lot of convincing, he liked Disney, who didn't after all. He had just never made the trip to Disney, he had done all the other theme parks in this country that he knew about but Disney just seemed to be to babified for him. Now he didn't really have an excuse to turn around and not go, but he was going to have a lot of fun along the way. If it turned out to be a collosal disappointment then he would at least have Jeremy to keep him company, he would have to hope that his acting skills were half decent to.

"Something fast for the ride?" he asked thinking of the music.
