DJ had made a good impression on grandma. He knew how to put on the charm without being smarmy and even had gotten her to laugh a couple of times. He had that way with women.
Much to Trixie's surprise, she had invited him to stay for dinner. "After all a growing boy needs to eat!" Or so she had said. DJ thought perhaps she knew he was a good match for her granddaughter or else she was just being generous to him. Either way, DJ didn't mind staying.
That woman could cook! DJ hadn't seen so much food for one meal in his life! Course upon course came from the kitchen, each one smelling even better than the previous one.
As the night wore on, grandma invited DJ to stay over but in one of the guest rooms. He agreed, although once she was asleep DJ snuck into Trixie's room and spent the night cuddled up next to her.
He woke up early the next day and headed into the bathroom. After doing the male morning ritual, he started a nice warm shower and climbed in. He drew the curtain and and began to wash himself, unaware that someone else had came in.

Trixie had to admit, DJ was something. He charmed the pants off her grandmother. Hell she let him spend the night. The moment she told him he had to stay in a guest room Trixie just smiled to herself. yeah right. There was no way DJ would sleep under the same roof as her and they not end up in the same bed. Oh thank god from Grandma's innocence and trustworthiness. What grandma did not know would not hurt her.
Trixie spent the night cuddled next to DJ in her big queen bed and it was nice actually. To just cuddle with someone, there was a safe feeling about it. Something that made Trixie want more of this cuddling, that was so foreign to her. Usually when sleeping with another guy, it was always sex then kicking the guy out. DJ was not getting that treatment. The damn fool actually wormed his way into her heart. Perhaps that's why she woke up in a rather great mood.
Trixie looked around for DJ and did not see him. She wondered if maybe he was having one of Grandmothers famous breakfasts. She got up and walked into the bathroom. For a moment she contemplated if DJ was behind the curtain, but the last thing she needed was to pull it back and see Nate or worse Jay in there. Trixie brushed her teeth as Jay walked in.
"damn it Nate don't use all the hot water." He called thinking Nate was in the shower. Then he looked at Trixie, "You doing alright?" he asked in his own Jay way.
Trixie just looked at him once she finished brushing her teeth, "Yeah, no thanks to you."
"Oh don't give me that, come on...what did you want me to do, hurt him right there in front of everyone." Jay questioned.
"No DJ and Zach took care of that while you walked away."
Jay eyed his sister when she said that, "Look trust me had I stayed Q would have gotten much worse. He will get what is coming to him, alright. Trust me. Now just tell me when you are going to dump the jolly Green Giant."
Trixie raised a brow, "Oh not this again, look there is a line between you being my brother and being too much into my business...you are crossing the line."
Jay scoffed, "Oh please...Come on Nate tell her." Jay said looking at the shower, not knowing DJ was inside. " We both know you Trix. You keep a guy for a few weeks then toss him back to the place he came from. It's been what two weeks, I am guessing its time to toss."
"Maybe I have changed, or maybe I actually like the guy..or even love him.....did that ever occur to your pea sized brain."
That made Jay laugh. "Love...that's a good one Trix. We are not capable of love. The last person who showed us what love is all about thought it was fun and games to beat us and then use us as sacrifices. You don't love this guy. It's lust at best. You are toying with him."
"Am not....I can love people, okay...it might take me a bit longer, but I can do it...I am happy...so butt out. DJ is not going anywhere. He knows how I feel, and I might say hate, but he knows I mean love in my own weird way. He understands I am not ready to go there yet." Trixie said her voice a tad softer but more emotional at the moment.
Jay looked his sister right in the eye. He was a bastard when he was feeling helpless. Misery loves company and right now he was in that mind set. "Oh come on Trix. You really think loving that guy is going to solve your problems. It's wont, cause when you wake up tomorrow and the next day the fact still remains you are Trixie Michaels and what happened to us when we were little was not a fantasy. Sooner or later you will realize that love is a myth that you will never find. Not with anyone."
"Thats a sad way to look at it. I might not love easily, and I might say I do not believe in love Jayson, but I never thought for a moment I could not love eventually." Trixie told her brother.
Jay shrugged, "Then you are a fool, cause sooner or later that guy will get sick and tired of your crap. You going back and forth between hating him and liking him. If that does not happen then you will get bored and dump him. cause you will get scared and run away. People do not change Trixie. You cannot change, not for this guy, not for any guy."
"You are such a sadistic bastard right now." Trixie told her brother, "I can change and you are not going to bring me down just because I am happy and you are not." Her voice was faltering a little.
Jay smirked at his sister, "Thats called a delusion. You are just like me....destined to be lonely and unhappy for life. We play games...its what we do...you should let the guy go now, give him a chance to forget about you. Trust me, you letting DJ go now is the best thing for him, cause you will probably fuck up his life."
Just then Nate walked in and looked at the Duo, "Dudes whose using the shower cause I need one." he eyed Trixie and her sad eyes and then jay, "Oh crap what the hell did you say to her now Michaels."
"Kane keep your nose out of it." Jay told Nate.
Nate eyed Jay, "Now I know you did something, what the hell did you say to make her look like that. can't you ever give her a break."
Trixie shook her head, "No, cause he is too much like daddy dearest to do that." With that said Trixie pushed Jay out of her way and pushed her way out of the bathroom back to her room slamming the door.
"Oh nice move genius. Thats your own flesh and blood and you treat her like crap. No wonder you don't have a girlfriend." Nate told him.
"Oh shove it man." Jay said washing his hands.
Nate rolled his eyes, "You are so sad you know that. Just take your damn shower and come find me when you are done."
"I am not taking a shower that was on when I got here."
"Well then who is in the shower?" Nate questioned.

DJ was listening to the banter between Jay and Trixie. At first it was amusing until Jay brought up Trixie's past and the way she treated guys.
Why was it Jay had it in his tiny little head that just because he was miserable that everyone around him had to be miserable as well? DJ wouldn't try to piece it together at the moment. He finished washing his hair then shut the water off.
There was a third voice, yes, Nate. The voice of reason between Trixie and Jay. At least Trix had someone to talk to when DJ wasn't around. Or at least there was someone to smack Jay upside the head when he stepped out of line.
He grinned as the boys bickered with each other. Score points for Nate! He really knew how to put Jay in his place! And Jay's words made DJ more determined to prove him wrong!
He waited a few more minutes before making his "grand entrance". He pulled the curtain back and stood there in all his nakedness and grinned. "If you really want to know who's in the shower, all you have to do is ask."

Nate eyed DJ as Jay looked away, "I think I have died and gone to heaven. Trix has been holding out on me and the details." Nate laughed. this was too good. Jay looked mortified. Although Nate was just as much Jay's friend, when jay got into his bastard moods Nate was more Trix's friend.
"Good god man grab a towel will you." Jay said turning around and closing his eyes, "You think this is funny...well its not." Jay eyed Nate, "This is not funny man, there is a naked man in the shower. i might get attacked and you are just laughing."
Nate shrugged, "What its funny and I am enjoying the view, but you might want to cover up. Last thing we need is giving grandma a heart attack." Nate grabbed a towel and thew it at DJ, "But if you want to head over to my room and shed the towel I will not object." Nate was only joking around. It was innocent fun.
"You both are sick." Jay said to both of them. "So how much did you hear?" jay asked crossing his arms over his chest confident DJ would not do anything since he was only in a towel and Nate was there.
Nate snorted, "i am assuming since you guys were talking so loud i could hear you a few doors down that he heard all of it genius. You know for a guy with a genius IQ you are rather dumb."
Jay eyed Nate, "Oh shut it man, don't you ever know when to shut your mouth." He commented.
Nate scratched his head, "Skye says the same thing, no...I have yet to learn that skill."
Jay pushed Nate slightly, "You are incorrigible."
"Dude do you even know what that means." Nate wondered.
Jay scoffed, "Of course I know what it means you ass. or else I would not have said it."
Nate held his hands up, "I don't know, you are the ass who just ran his own sister probably down to the nearest bar. If she gets the chance to leave. I mean how am I suppose to know you know big words if you can't even understand the words 'I'm' and 'sorry'."
Jay shook his head, "She is not going to the nearest bar she knows not to go to those places now that the idiot who use to be my friend seems to have his eye on her. She is not stupid. She knows to stay close to someone so Q can't get to her."
Nate looked from Jay to DJ back to Jay, "Reckless is more like and she is like that. Especially when it comes to getting hurt by those she loves."
Just then a little old lady appeared in the door, "Oh wonderful you all are awake. Breakfast is served. Has anyone seen Trixie? I just checked her room and she is gone."
Trixie was not at some bar, she was still at home just hiding so to speak. Hiding out in the one place she did not think anyone would look, even if she may have mentioned this special place to DJ...when she was drunk of course. It was an alcove outside with a swing and secluded from view by anyone looking out the windows.

DJ let the rest of the water drip from his body. "Get attacked? By what? And who would believe you? There was a giant man in my shower and he attacked me!" He chuckled at the idea. "Besides like I said, you'd be the last man on Earth I'd ever want to touch."
DJ grabbed the towel that had been tossed to him. "Ok ok, I'll cover up for his royal HEINDERness." He wrapped the towel around his waist.
DJ stepped out of the tub, now frowning. "I'll tell you what I heard. I heard how you feel the need to pull Trixie down to your level and that really sickens me." He wanted to smack Jay upside the head but refrained from doing so with Nate there.
Q, that kid from yesterday's attack. DJ would track him down and have a little talk with him.
"Morning ma'am," DJ smiled and greeted grandma. "She left here a bit ago. I'll go look for her as soon as I'm decent." Grandma smiled at him.
"That is sweet of you young man." She patted his cheek. "I'll be downstairs keeping breakfast warm."
Once she left, DJ started to the door. "I have my duty to do, if you gentlemen will excuse me." He pulled off his towel and threw it at Jay where it landed on his head.

Jay scoffed, "You are so full of yourself. I did not bring Trixie down, I was honest. People do not change. She will hurt you, its a matter of time. I have seen this before. She claims she will change and she is even faithful for a few weeks, then things go down hill and the guy ends up getting hurt. For once I am trying to do yo a favor." Jay commented.
Just then Granny showed up. "Jayson you could learn a thing or two from Douglas here." She commented in her little old voice as she left the bathroom.
Nate laughed, "Oh man Jay you must be fuming right now."
Jay glared at him, "I am just fine. I would not want to be like him. He is a fool." Sure Jay was worried about DJ hurting Trixie, but he was worried about Trixie. He knew her behavior and he really did not think she could change, "This giant is not worth it. he is nothing but a loser. A loser I have a truce with. Q is the target now."
Nate shook his head and really laughed as the towel landed on his head. "Oh man..thats....I need to get a picture..."
Jay grabbed t towel and threw it to the floor, "Now I need to bleach my hair and my body...so gross. You are...." Jay huffed. "OH don't bother, I will find my sister, why don't you get dressed and get out, you are no longer welcome here." Jay told DJ.
Nate looked between the two guys. And busted out laughing, "Hey check out the picture I got on my phone of him with the towel." Nate showed DJ.
Jay let out a soft growl. "You are slowly becoming my enemy Nathaniel." He said to Nate.
Nate looked at Jay, "You always say that when I laugh at you. Now go get dressed man, before I decide to steal you from Trixie." Nate slapped DJ on the back an looked at Jay.
Jay just scoffed, "Please the man probably needs help getting dressed."
Nate just looked at Jay, "For once, just listen man, the only guy who needs help is you. Now I am your friend, but right now you need to be less of an ass and more of a team player. All you are doing is driving your sister away. You really want that. Just for once think of someone besides yourself." Nate said walking away and to his own room to change.
Jay scoffed and walked out of the bathroom. "I will but out once the giant grows a brain." He told them as he too headed to his room. He did not want to push his sister away by a guy getting that close could find out things, and then ruin everything.
