Character Name: Caitlin Joy Alderman
Nickname: Caity
Age: 15
Birthday: February 25th
Place of birth: Inglewood, California
School: Gould
Grade: Freshman
Appearance: Caitlin has long, almost waist-length hair that is naturally a dark brown but that she dyes to black. Like her siblings, she has bright blue eyes that really stand out with the dark hair and pale skin.
She favors the scene/emo look that the rest of the Alderman siblings wear, more scene than emo though as she's frequently seen in bright pinks or blues alongside black. She wears much shorter skirts and shorts than she technically is supposed to, because she enjoys the attention, coupled with tights that are supposed to be artfully ripped.
Personality: Caitlin is bouncy and fun-loving, a high energy girl with a passion for life. She's always smiling, no matter what else is going on around her. This is partly due to cluelessness, and partly due to a genuine inability to be adversely affected by negative situations. She has on rose colored glasses, always seeing life filled with rainbows and butterflies. It's not wishful thinking; she simply fails to notice the gritty underworld.
Her big weakness is for attention; she thrives on attention, even should it be negative. In fact, she's rather socially unaware in that she doesn't always recognize when she's annoying other people. She'll notice that she's got their attention and continue with whatever she was doing, but she won't recognize the silent cues stating they don't think she's cute and amusing.
Town Area: Van Nuys
Job: None
Transportation: Graham
Family Background and History: Franklin and Judith Alderman are that couple that everyone was betting would be divorced in a month. Franklin was loud and gregarious and always up to something; Judith was meek and quiet and preferred to fade into the background. Franklin was Anglican, and Judith was determinedly Atheist. Franklin could hardly handle his finances, spending money as soon as he got his paycheck; Judith could have happily lived in a house with no decorations, slept on the floor and eaten ramen the rest of her life. Yet somehow, they managed to make things work. They happily welcomed their first child into the world after roughly two years of marriage, and three years later they welcomed not one, but three new additions to the family: Palmer, Caitlin and Regan.
The Aldermans do everything as a family. Frank and Judith never considered inviting other people along to anything, and as the children were all close they never much wanted other playmates. Perhaps it was due to this clannishness that they've all settled into the same subculture. It isn't that they don't have any of their own friends, but when it comes right down to it they could all probably survive with only one another.
Recently, Frank has requested that Judith attend Marital Counseling with him. The children hope this doesn't mean anything too bad, but the sudden chilly relationship between their parents has them nervous.
Caitlin has recently begun gathering a bit of a following on Myspace and Youtube due to the prolific numbers of pictures and videos she posts. She's convinced Palmer to film her dancing around and singing to anime theme songs, which has proven to be a bit of a hit with a certain portion of the nerd crowd. If her parents weren't so caught up in their own problems they might find this new hobby to be a bit of a problem...
Palmer and Regan are her cohorts in crime more than any other students are, though she has an easier time coercing the easy-going Palmer into going along with her ideas than she does her more stubborn sister. The only real rift in her relationship with Palmer is they tend to crush on the same girls, and he's slightly jealous that Dena Zouvelekis is more interested in her than him.

Attendance Length: Since the beginning of the year
After School Activities: Nope!
Likes: Doodles, accessories featuring skulls, hanging out at the mall, funky belts, skelenimals, Hello Kitty, taking photos, anime, clothes, cute girls, cosplay, singing, dancing, short skirts, yuri, frogs. She also plays the saxophone, though she isn't as serious about it as Graham is about his trumpet. Being a celebrity! (well, sort of. She likes to think that she is.)
Dislikes: Not getting attention, people who aren't fun, being bored, people who make rude comments on her youtube and myspace pages, how much money she has to spend each trip to the hair salon, when her parents argue, when her siblings don't go along with her ideas.
Other Information: Sort of dating Dena Zouvelekis
Face Claim: Brookelle Bones
Player: Dryope
Writing Sample: Mew did not suffer social anxiety, nor was he too incompetent to run
the booth -- though incompetency was an impression he purposefully
cultivated -- but all the same he was not keen on being left to man
the booth alone. There was too much responsibility involved for his
tastes but it was Phil who asked and if there was one person he
couldn't bear to let down it was Phil. This did not stop him from
issuing rather half-hearted complaints about the situation.
"What, I can't go with you? Don't you need an obnoxious sidekick or
something?"
Phil shook his head. "You know how well Jar Jar went over for Lucas.
We need someone to look after the booth and you're the only one who
doesn't have a sabre."
"Once again I get left out," The red-head sighed.
"You don't want to be a Jedi." This wasn't a question: Mew had stated
many times that if he were in the Star Wars universe the last career
he would pursue would be Jedi.
Mew decided to engage in applying more aloe to his burned stomach
rather than reply immediately.
"Course I don't want to," He agreed after he was done, "I just don't
see why I'm getting left out here." He tried to keep any hint of
bitterness out of his voice, though he didn't quite succeed. It wasn't
entirely a matter of being 'left out', either, although that was part
of it. But even more than that he did not want to lose Phil to the
Jedi Order. He had been terribly excited about the prospect of working
sabres and The Force appearing in his mundane reality. Now, however,
the Jedi elect were called to a secret Jedi meeting and this, this
irked him more than anything for he was sure that it marked the
beginnings of them as a true Order and Phil, responsible and
disciplined Phil, would place his calling higher on his priorities
than goofing off.
Phil did not, of course, realize any of this but he did catch the
undercurrents of unhappiness in his friend's tone and body language
and tried to reassure him. "I'll tell you all about it, don't worry.
I'll even say I can't stay long and hurry back if you want. But Mag
said they wanted me to be there and if Mag and Stef and I are all gone
someone has to watch our booth, right? It would be a huge help if you
could do it."
"Don't got much choice," Mew huffed and then softened. "Okay, I did
say I was coming to help you out. Fine, go, have fun. Don't leave me
alone here all day, though, or I'm comin' to find you."
