After going to the rock Cat sent Colby a text message
*Babe at the beach with Renton, just told me he loves me and kissed me. I told him about us, I just broke his heart and feel bad. I might need a ride I will text you and let you know. I love you.

Colby was feeling higher than a kite after spending the time he could with Cat. He gathered his books for the weekend. He was still unsure about Renton, he was a good guy and all but Colby had this odd feeling about him.
Still he had to trust Cat and her decisions. He drove to the middle school and picked up his brother and sister. He sat in his car, thinking. He was so deep in thought, he didn't hear Lance and Bailey hop into the backseat.
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"Did NOT!!"
"DID TOO!!" The two were going at it again over something, like they always did.
"Whats going on you two?" Colby sighed as they buckled up and he drove away.
"She says glazed donuts are better than others and she's wrong!" Lance protested.
"Well they are and your stupid because your a boy!" Bailey shot back.
"Hey! I'm a boy too, Bale, or have you forgotten?" Colby said looking in the rear view mirror.
"You don't count cause the girls at school like you!"
This made Colby laugh. He was used to the middle school crushes from his sisters' friends. "Well thank you. How about we settle this over..." He was cut off by his phone. He quickly checked the message, it was from Cat.
"Guys, I'm going to drop you at Grandma's Cat needs me." He drove to Grandma's house and dropped the kids then sent Cat a text.
"Be right there." The words didn't show it but he was pissed that Renton did what he did.
