[Yuri Quail]

Yuri felt her way through the halls towards the girls locker room. Today was the day that the pool wasn't going to be occupied by other students. Yuri perferred to swim by her self, she finds it comforting and safe. As she made her way through the girls locker room she had to count her steps and towards the first row of lockers. She was at least 5 lockers down from the enterance to the swimming pool.

Yuri was humming softly to herself as she opened the door to her locker and starting to strip out of her clothes and carefully folding them neatly and slide it onto the shelves. As she then grabbed her bathing suit in exchanged for her clothes. Yuri slide the bathing suit smoothing up against her slender body and the straps over the shoulders. She felt around for her towel and flip flops. After she slides on her flip flops she toss the towel over her right shoulder, closed the door to her locker and feeling her way towards the enterance to the pool.

Her flip flop would clap against the cold cement floor as she then pushed open the door carefully and making her way through into the indoor swimming pool area. She can hear the water calm as she took a few more steps counting each time she walked from the doors. she stopped close to the edge of the pool. Yuri smiled as she concentrated on any sounds she could sense. No one else was in the area except for Yuri. If her brother was here, he'd have a cow and get some friends to keep an eye on her. Yuri was happy he wasn't there.

Yuri carefully started to lay the towel down and slipped out of the flip flops. She felt around the edge of the pool for the steps into the pool as she does she slowly starts to climb into the pool, she quickly jumped by the coldness but then started to get use to it and it became comforting to her. Till she was fully into the water, she sighs in relief and started to do laps. As her head is under water she heard the muffled trickling water in her ears each time she stroked her arms and legs. It echoed into her ears she then reaches to the surface to breath some air. Then she moved onto ther back and did back strokes for a while. Then she heard something in the distance. Yuri stopped and pulled her self back onto her feet under water and stood still quietly hearing any sounds again.

"Hello?" she called out. "Anyone there?" as she blindly looked around as if she could really see clearly even though she couldn't.

Ashley slipped into a pair of shorts that were probably a little on the small side for him now, it had been a while since he had used the school pool facilities. So he had a couple of spare hours and decided to use them, his mother had taken Kai to see some family that lived a couple of hours drive away. He had tomorrow night of his parents finally consented to letting him get a sitter in so he could go to the party.

He stepped out of the boys locker rooms spotting someone else looking to make use of the pool. It wasn't late so the facilities were still open for a little while, Ashley slipped into the cold water shivering like crazy until he adjusted. He rested against the back of the pool not bothering to start make laps. This was a great for hiding away from every body else and trying to figure out what the hell Greg Meyers wanted with Alex. Okay so his ex girlfriend deserved to be happy, but was a 16 year old semi famous really the best option for a potential step father to his son.

Okay so maybe he was over reacting a tad and maybe he deserved it for hiding how he still felt, all he kept telling himself was that he didn't want to get hurt by Alex again. He sure as hell didn't know what to do about her and Kai, but he knew it wasn't worth trying to get it back on if it hurt Kai. He needed something to distract him seriously from his home life for a little while, or someone it didn't really matter which.

Then he heard the girl who had been swimming calling to him, he looked up from his position and smiled, "Yeah sorry, your not the only person using the facilities, didn't mean to make you jump." he said to her not moving from his position, he didn't recognize the girl in question. Maybe if she hadn't been wet he might of had a better chance.

Yuri listened to the guy, she slightly smiled. Yuri was kinda shy around guys she has just met or doesn't know. "Oh no it's okay I just didn't know if I was the only one or not!" she said as she brushed back her wet hair. "I'm Yuri!" she said. As she looks around even though her vision is blurry but she can see the dark figure across from her. She reached out her hand. "Just thought I get some relaxing swim before I go home, my mom didn't want to get a house with a pool!" she chuckled a bit. "She was afraid I might fall in and drown!" she explained. "She still thinks I am 4 years old!" she said jokenly.

Yuri smiled, as she then felt her fingers get pruny she figured it was time to get out and get dress and call her brother for a ride before it gets too late to where they might get worried of her where abouts. "Well it was nice to meet you by the way maybe I'll see you later yeah?" She said as she swims back over to the end of the pool where she left her stuff on the edge. she felt around counting each tile to herself to where she got in.

Ashley laughed as she said this, he got what it was to be a parent worrying about a child. Lord knows he wished he didn't have to know what that was like at sixteen but it worked for him. He guessed he still had that to come with Kai though, he was only two so he didn't mind his parents being over bearing at that age.

"You know thats what parents are meant to do right, worry, we never stop worrying about our kids. It isn't something that you get until you have kids of your own, but it hits home the moment they are put in your arms." Ashley said to her with a smile. "I'm Ashley by the way, and I'm a single parent kind of sort of... its a difficult situation to explain. But don't give your mom a hard time about her over protectiveness, unless it relates to your boyfriends in which case give them hell." he said he wanted to hit his head against a brick wall when she said she needed to get going, way to go about scaring a girl of Ash he thought to himself.

"It was good to meet you, I'm counting on seeing you again, this was much to short a meeting." he said to her, he watched her for a moment then took of for his swim, if the girl wanted to come back she would... but he didn't think that she would.

Yuri smiled as she listen to him babbled his experinces of being a some what single parent, she then pulled herself out of the water and onto the edge of the pool she sat down and let her legs dangle in the water, as she grabs the towel where she left it and started to squeeze the excess water from her dark locks of hair. She then took the towel to try and absorb whats left the soaken hair. "Nice to meet you Ashely. Your a dad huh?" she said. "Honestly I think it's a great experince and from what you just said, you have a really good point about protection over kids." she said. "I shouldn't give my mom a hard time, especially my brother he's just as bad!" she giggled as she contuied to dry her hair with the towel. "My brother is sorta my seeing eye, I mean I have a seeing eye dog but I refuse to use him just for those purposes only. Don't want to deprive my pup from having fun being a K-nine!" she said. "But I just want my family to know that yes I may be blind but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy my life, like everyone else!" she smiled.

Yuri blushed when Ashley mention boyfriends to her. "Ah, well my folks don't have to worry about me having boyfriends I dont... well I never had a boyfriend!" she said with a slight embarrassment. She just realized how a bit different she is now than all the rest of the teenagers. Her brother has a girl friend and they're studing together. There's even been a few times she has caught them in the middle of things they shouldn't be doing till they were at least old enough to be finanically capable of dealing with the after math incase.

Yuri smiled when he said he's counting on seeing her around again. "That's for sure, you'll see me around but I'll probably hear or smell ya around!" she giggled, and finally gotten to her feet with her towel and felt around for her flip flops.
