Wynn tried his best to ignore the events from the past couple of days but everything kept coming back in the form of whispers, gossip, finger pointing, giggles. He was dumped by Julia or so people had been saying and how he was feeling as well.
When the final bell rang, he went to his locker, feeling low and ready to just give up all together. He threw his books into his bag and started outside. Despite the sunshine, there was a small nip in the air.
He went to his scooter and sat for a moment, he didn't want to go home. He didn't want to go anywhere. He had so much anger and frustration built up he needed to let it out.
He found a spot near a tree, pulled out his sketch pad and started to flip through it, feeling more and more anger in him.
He ripped out one picture, then another and another and another. He started shredding the pictures into bits and pieces, tears forming in his eyes as he did. He threw the papers in the air crying out "What the hell, guys like me shouldn't have dreams anyway!!" He fell to his knees and sobbed quietly.

The day just got worse and worse. Not only did her blow dryer crumble right in front of her eyes, she tripped while getting on the bus to school, flew to the back when the bus lurched forward, tripped again right into a pool of gunk while getting off the bus and then the worst thing happened. She saw Mew and Bree Marcus arms linked and looking happy with each other. How in the world did that happen?
It was just her luck that all her teachers had picked on her in every class, she didn't get to see any of her friends during lunch and the bell for the end of school couldn't have come any slower.
Of course Mew would choose someone as beautiful and popular as Bree Marcus. With that shiny red hair and sweet angelic face and petite body and a fashion sense. Alexia just wasn't good enough for Mew. Plus, she would never have had the guts to come up to Mew anyway. He'd just get bored of her in the end and come graduation, Alexia would be just a blip on his radar. She'd forever be known as the girl who had a weird nickname who talked to Mew one fine day asking about bowling and cleaning the park.
Sighing, she pulled down the hood of her parka and slung her bag over one shoulder before exiting the school. For the most part, the quad was empty save a boy on his knees with paper flying all around him. Pushing away the tears that had freed themselves from her eyes, the brunette walked down to the boy and patted him on the shoulder. "Hey...hey are you alright?"
As she tried to get the boy's attention, she saw the paper's content and bit her lower lip. "Wow...those are remarkable."

Wynn couldn't (meaning wouldn't) look up just yet, he wasn't one to cry. The sound of the voice though matched the touch of the hand, tender and gentle. He felt like a turtle at the moment on his knees and hiding in its shell.
He knew he had to come up soon for air, seeing how his nostrils were being blocked by the thick gooey mucus better known as snot. He took in a couple big mouthfuls of air and slowly looked up. His eyes puffy and red, he looked a mess and felt like it as well.
"Th-thanks." He muttered as he sat on the floor, his back aching from being in the position he had been in.
"If you like them, you can have him," he sniffed a heavy sniff. "They don't hold any meaning for me, at least not any more." He scooted back and leaned against the tree. He watched her for a bit. He scratched his head lightly.
"You ever have one of those times when you just want to chuck it all and just give up?" He asked her, not thinking that he probably sounded suicidal, which would have been way off the beaten path for him.

He looked horrible with his tear-stained face but behind the puffy nose and red eyes, she saw a sweet-looking guy. That was definitely not something she was ready to get back into. Mew Fischer was a sweet-looking guy and look how well she handled that.
Shaking her head, she gathered the scattered pieces of paper and stacked them beside her as she sat in front of the boy. After a few seconds of silence, she finally found the intelligence to get the tissue from her bag and hand it to him to wipe his face. "Why not? They're really good." And she meant it. She was no art critic but even she knew what was good and what was not and the ones she was looking at were excellent.
His permission to take them were a surprise to her and she didn't know whether she should take up on his offer or not. It would be awkward to just take something from someone you just met, but they were good enough to hang up her wall...
The boy's suicidal thoughts scared Alexia but she knew exactly what he meant. Sighing, she pulled her legs up to tuck them under her chin and gave out a sound of agreement. "I have." She said in a small voice.
She couldn't admit that her problems were probably too trivial if they were to compare problems; she still thought that it was just so tragic for her to have lost someone she might have had a friendship with at least.
"My sister's remedy is to tell me to grow up and get over it." She chuckled mirthlessly. "But it's easier said than done you know?"

Wynn dried his eyes and blew his nose. It felt good to have the sinus passages opened again. He could breath again. "Yeah go ahead, I drew those when I thought I had friends. I guess I should have known better."
His choice of words probably weren't the best ones at the moment. It did surprise him though to know she knew how he felt. There was a small comfort there. Break ups happened all the time but it have it happen twice within a months time, give or take a week, was too much to think about.
"I lose two girls one to someone who had been a friend and now the other to some weirdo who looks like he should be hoisting sails and sailing the seven seas." A few more tears dripped from his eyes. "I'm probably boring you with my story, what about you?" It did feel somewhat better saying what was on his mind, maybe the same would hold true for her.
He stretched his legs out in front of him, he could feel them start to cramp up from kneeling for so long.

Frowning slightly, it took Alexia a few seconds to realise the pieces were just too good to be thrown away like that so with an inaudible sigh, she gently slipped them into her bag. Pulling her hoodie down, she looked at the boy and gave him a little smile. "You shouldn't give up on making friends. I mean I'm no expert in that but so far I may not be their closest friends but I know quite a lot of people and they're friendly enough."
His description of the 'weirdo' made Alexia laugh. "He can't be that bad." She was only assuming since she wasn't sure who he was referring to. "But losing someone to other people doesn't warrant tearing up good art...I mean, if I were this good and someone left me to be with someone else, I'd just channel my anger or sadness or whatever emotion I'm having into something else. Like...I dunno...make a comic book or something." She shrugged.
Shaking her head, she patted his hand and reassured him that he was not boring her. "I'm a good listener. I guess it comes in handy when you have so many acquaintances." She grinned, genuinely wanting him to feel better. And in a way, she was feeling a little better about having seen Mew and Bree Marcus together. She wasn't entirely over it but her focus was now on something else and she might be gaining a friend in the process so that was something.
"Me? I don't have a story. Just a very bad day. I'll get over it," she gave a nervous chuckle, not used to talking to anyone about her problems apart from Anderson or funnily enough, Pippi Longstocking. It was easy to just rant to her friend because he wasn't going to blab to anyone and it felt good to vent her frustrations on her twin because as much as she didn't like Pip, she had to admit the more popular Dashwood-Dune twin had insight. Very valuable insight too.
After a long pause, she bit her lower lip and extended her hand to him. "I'm Dash. Well...Lexi. Alexia. I don't go by my name. But you can call me whatever you want." She shrugged, waiting for him to take her hand and not wonder why this weird girl was babbling about her three names.

Wynn shifted. "It's more complicated than just being friends. I have other friends but these two meant something more to me." The words most females hated to hear was 'its complicated' since it had two meanings one was either it was none of their business or the other was I really don't wanna talk about it, Wynn was feeling the latter.
"He slapped me with gloves and challenges me to a duel, with swords and everything." That still puzzled Wynn, who still did sword fighting. "The lights were flashing, gates were down but his train just wasn't coming." He could have gone on with other analogies.
"Thats easier said than done. I lost my muses when I lost them. I don't want to do this anymore." He glanced at his kit of art supplies that he had spent a fortune on, and had looked forward in following in his father's animating footsteps.
That desire was crushed.
"A bad day? Sounds like a lost soul like mine." He managed a slight smile. He took her hand. "It's a pleasure Dash Lexi Alexi." He said using all three names for fun. "I like Lexi out of all those though."

Alexia nodded understandingly when he commented that his relationships were complicated. She got the fact that it just wasn't something to talk about. At least not yet, or so she hoped. She liked being a listening ear, no matter who it was she was lending her ears to. Of course, if the person didn't want to talk, she wasn't going to insist. She supposed she just wasn't pushy enough. Maybe that's why it wasn't her but Bree Marcus in Mew's arms. She quickly shook the thought out of her head as she continued to listen to her new found friend.
Her eyebrows shot up when he further explained the 'weird sailor' he lost a girl to. Although she would have done pretty much the same thing - it would have made more sense in her head rather than played out in real life - it really did make the person sound weird. But she didn't say anything regarding that.
She followed his gaze down to his art supplies, seeing the longing in his eyes when he did so. She smiled sympathetically and her hand instinctively went up to his shoulder to give it a slight squeeze. "If it makes you feel any better, you'd be one short of a really big fan of your work. Coz I really like your work. But I'll hold on to these just in case you decide to give it another shot." She patted her bag where his artwork was and smiled at him.
When he took her hand, she grinned and shook it lightly before chuckling when he used all three names and a blush spread across her face. Well, at least he didn't think she was weird or anything. "Then Lexi it is. Hey...you want to grab a bite to eat? I don't feel like going home just yet. Just means I have to face my twin and that's not really at the top of my list right now."

She hadn't run off or think he was being a drama king over everything. She seemed to be sympathize with him, granted it wasn't quite what he wanted but it was nice to have someone to talk to.
He wasn't used to the touch a female but it was very comforting to him. It was better than a hug, he wasn't sure why though. He looked at her and blinked a couple of times. "You really like these?" It was as if he thought she were putting him on. "No, please feel free to keep them then, I don't want to remember the past and who they reminded me of." He was sincere on that.
He was a bit surprised by her question. "You mean me and you?" It wasn't like she had asked him on a date but still it would be just the two of them in a public place, like a restaurant! "Sure, that...that'd be great." It seemed cliche to say but after all misery did love company. "All I have is my scooter but there is room for two on there, if you don't mind hanging on to me. I'm very careful when driving."

His blinking made her smile. It was adorable and he looked very much like a lost puppy. It was kind of silly to Alexia that he thought he wasn't good enough or something but after that confession, she supposed it was better for her to just keep the paintings if only it would make him feel better. "I do. Probably because my knowledge of drawing is bubble clouds and one line trees and stuff you know? But I can appreciate good work when I see it, that's all I'm saying." She smiled, squeezing his shoulder once more, unaware of the effect it had on him.
Alexia wasn't popular and she wasn't the type of girl who guys would queue up just to get her number so when he was surprised that she had asked him to grab a bite to eat, she cringed. Maybe it wasn't a good idea for her to have asked...
Then again, bad ideas sometimes worked. When he agreed, she gave him a bright smile and shook her head about his scooter. "Why would I mind? It's for my safety anyhow." She grinned and stood up, seemingly feeling way better than she had when school first started. She offered her hand to her new friend before she realised that she didn't even know his name. "By the way, what's your name? I can't believe I never asked." She chuckled.
