A boat? Silver had been invited on a boat. This was better then mathematics or reading about the history of numbers. Of course nothing was better then DnD, but that was Saturday. Right now she had to go find Andersen if she could and tell him about Christophe and the boat. He had to come along. Besides Emma, Silver needed someone by her side. A friend. Someone she could rely on to make sure she did not make too much of a fool of herself. Which always seemed to happen. She was bound to fall overboard and of course she could not swim, so that would suck.
Silver ran through the halls, since it was after school to put her books away. Then she ran to her car. She was unable to find Andersen. Well she would have to text him later. For now she had to head to the library for a new book. Which was never easy because a library to Silver was like a kid in a candy store. It was her playground. So of course it was no shock when she spent all day in the library.
Silver had a stack of books in her hand a she left the library. She noticed it would be hard to get the door. The first one had been opened by a nice lady, but no one except one person was around for the second, so Silver called out, "Please hold the door." She was more confident now that she was in her own stomping ground. Once the door was opened Silver stepped through the door.
Then she began walking to her car, but of course she forgot the first lesson you learned as a kid and that was to look both ways before crossing the road, so Silver did not even see the car until she felt herself being pulled out of the way and the car speeding off. The books went to the floor and Silver just watched the car speed away. She turned to see who pulled her back, "Thanks..I guess no one obeys the speed limit even in a parking lot." Then again she had not looked so it was just as much her fault. "At least now I know why parents teach you to always look both ways before crossing the road."

Elena had gotten a few more books on the history of alcatrez so she could make herself familiar with former prisnors and the ones that are said to stick around in one of the wrost prisons the US had ever had. It housed the most evil of evil and the most famous of famous. She could not imagine being forced to live on a small island in a confinded space like that, it would drive anyone nuts. She could understand why some actually did lose their minds and do stuff like kill guards and each other. You were like a caged animal and would be living off your animal instincts.
As she was thinking she noticed the car coming faster then it should and saw a girl around her age walking in the parking lot not noticing it at all. She raced over to the girl and jerked her back by her arms, after she threw her books to the ground, and Elena was glad she was okay. She would hate to see anyone get hurt in front of her by some senseless accident.
"Some people are just jerks and don't care about what they do. Not caring if they hurt anyone or not" Elena said to the girl. "Are you okay....?" she asked trailing off since she did not know the girls name. She did look fimilar, she assumed because of school. But since she has not many freinds she did not know many peoples names at all that she goes to school with. "And your welcome for pulling you out of the way, anyone with a heart would of did the same thing" she smiled. "Moms it seems do always turn out to be right." She picked up the girls books and began handing them to her. "I am just glad you are okay."

Silver looked at the dark haired girl. Great another beautiful girl. Silver felt nervous again. Mostly because she felt as if this girl could squash her like a bug. She seemed nice and genuine, but that could be an act. She could be one of those vicious cheerleaders here to be mean for the sake of fun. which was wrong on so many levels. "I...I am fine. Just a tad embarrassed I guess." Silver pushed her glasses back up on her face, "Thanks...I mean it..I would have been one dead girl had that car hit me...so thanks...thanks..I owe you."
Silver shifted on her feet hoping the girl would take pity and leave Silver alone, thats if she was one of those mean girls. Silver looked around for anyone she knew. Andersen, even Emma or Christophe whom she just met, anyone to save her from a this girl who might hurt her emotionally. Although Silver could be wrong about the girl. Assuming did make an ass out of you or something like that. Silver hoped she was wrong.
"Did you know that Isaac Asimov is the only author to have a book in every Dewey-decimal category or that The word "nerd" was first coined by Dr. Seuss in "If I Ran the Zoo." " Silver said as she began to mess with her hair. Of course this was her. Random facts were calming.

Elena could tell the girl was right away. Suddenly she felt a spirit try to press against her senses and she shook her head and told it with her mind to go away she was busy right now. "I had no idea Dr. Suess would of been the one to coin the word nerd, he was always a childrens author" she said with smile. "What did Issac Asimove write?" she asked curiously. "I have never heard of him before" she said honstly. She could tell this girl was smart which was good, she was not into airheaded dumb people, they did not have any common sense or interesting conversations. "Do you know the place the shining was filimed is actually haunted. And one ghost is a bride that fell down the steps on her wedding day, she is said to appear in pictures of brides standing on the steps or touch their hair or something while they get ready. Of course never being married myself I have no idea if that is true" she said with a laugh and a smile.
"I am Elena Hykes by the way" she held her out hand to the other girl to shake. She hoped her smile would put her at ease, she had also noticed the way she looked around nervously. "Other then random facts what are you into?" She was still worried she grabbed the other girl to hard. "Are you sure I did not grab you to hard I did not want to leave burises and if I did I am sorry" she said honestly and sincerly. She was doing her best to put the girl at ease and to make her less nervous around her. "I have seen you around school" she said to her. "I would of said hi in the past but well I was shy, I decided to get over my shyness this year and reach out and make friends." She knew she was babbling but this might be the way to get the girl to know she does not have to be nervous around her.

"He wrote I-Robot...its a series of short stories. Its a really good book, and in my opinion just shows that society is putting too much faith into computers and technology and one day it might just prove to be our biggest down fall..." Silver said with a shurg. Although she was guilty of using technology way too much. She had a cell phone and a computer, but she also knew how to use a library and research her butt off. Something she felt people were lacking, but that was a whole other story.
"I n...never knew that about the movie. Its one of my favorites. Defiantly better then some of the current films out, but that I mean the silly slaptick horror movies, that I think were made to be bad on purpose." Then again sometimes those were the fun one to see.
All the sudden Silvers phone rang and she pulled it out of her pocket, "Excuse me for one moment." She typed out a quick reply to Andersen's message, her smile and face got bright with the text message.
"I am Silver...nic...nice to meet you." She offered her hand, "I really am fine. No bruising, I promise." She told Elena. Her...shy...really. Silver would enver imagine Elena as being shy. She pictured her as a girl with many friends and guys drooling all over her. "Yeah I am....shy too...I sometimes prefer books to people." Except for Andersen. She always made time for her best friend.

"I perfer ghost to people" she said and held up her book. "They are a bit annoying at times but dont' talk your ear off, unless they want you to hear them of course." She had no idea if this girl was think she was nuts or not. Of course she is not going to hide her passion of being a ghost hunter it was well known to the people have laughed at it. "I have no seen the movie or read the books I will have to" she said. And she would becasue she always meant what she said. "Is that movie the one with Will Smith?" she asked. If so she did hear of sthe movie, which is a step up of not ever hearing about the books. "I love technology to but some cases when we ghost hunt it is so fun to dig deep and you have to read books for that, and newspaper articles. Mind you on a ghost hunt we have all the lastest technology's which is a blessing, it makes it so much eaiser so you don't have to go into a place blindly by yourself" she said with a smile.
When the girl got the text message she waited pateintly for her to get done. "I am not keeping you from anything am I?Do you need to go?" If the other girl Silver had plans she did not want to be rude and keep her from them. "Nice to meet you Silver" she shook the other girls hand. "I love your name it is so different and unique" she said honestly. She knew Elena was getting more popular but stil not like other names which she was very happy about. "And thanks for not laughing or think I am crazy with the ghost hunting, some people are that way. They just don't have the open mind for ghost or are to scared to even think they could really be around" she said with a smile and a laugh.

"No you are not keeping me." It was true. It was only 4:45, Silver had until 6pm, which is what the second text message read to Andersen. She would just go right to his place from to library. "Its just my friend...my best friend Andersen." Her face went red and she pushed her glasses up further, "We have plans, just us tonight..." She blushed once again. Silver really needed to get a handle on that. Andersen was the only guy who knew...the truth, and the only guy she really trusted.
"I think you are perfectly normal. Ghosts do not scare me. I mean I do believe they exist, being an avid reader I have read many books where authors claim ghosts to be real, I just have not done much research on the subject. I am only on Vampires and Lycans. I have yet to reach spirits." She informed Elena. "I think I am more afraid of not knowing something....its just how my mind works." Silver said with a shrug. Her mind could not handle not knowing something.
"My name...oh..yeah People find it more weird that my name is Silver and my school is Gould." She said with a tiny laugh. "My mom named me after My grandfather. His nickname in the air force was Silver." At least thats what she had been told.

"I think it is neat your named after your grandfather. Elena is a family name of course I am the first girl in the family to have it in the last twenty years. Before that it was every few years a new Elena would be in the family" Elena said with a laugh and a smile. "I am glad I am the only one, makes things a lot less confusing. "I don't believe in vampire's or werewolves I do like reading stories about them but I do not believe that they are real" she said. "I have not seen any proof it" she said honestly. "But it is fun to watch movies and read about them" she smiled.
Shes saw Silver blush when she mentioned her friend. She wondered if she wanted more out of that friendship. She did not say anything though it was not her place to ask or know, and she really did not know Silver yet. They could have a friendship but that would build up over time if both girls wanted one. "Sounds like a fun night" she said to her. "I will be home researching and working on some emails" she said with a laugh. "I know I have a boring night in" she smiled. "I hope we can be friends though Silver" she said honestly. "And maybe one day have a girls night. I have not had those in well years, not since I moved here." Of course she moved here cause her parents were killed in a car accident, and that is why she has never reached out to anyone. If you let people in you can feel pain if they are hurt or die and everyone dies.

Silver could go into how Vampires and werewolves were based on myths, but that would take too much time to explain. It would have to be a conversation for another day. She had research to back up just how the idea was formed when it came to Lycans and Vampires. It was actually very interesting. Well to her it was, then again she was weird. Well most people seemed to think so anyway. Oh well people just did not know her. She had accepted that a long time ago. "Oh i do enjoy watching movies and reading them, although I feel the movies lately have glorified vampires to be good guys when in fact they really are not suppose to be good guys, then again it depends on how you view then and....well I could go on for hours."
Silver perked up at the idea of a girls night. "A girls night...oh that sounds like fun...I have never really had one..." Maybe she would invite Emma. This was turning out to be better then she thought. Apparently Elena was one of the good girls. "Maybe you can educated me on ghosts and I educate you on the myth behind the Vampire and Lycan battle." Silver said with as shrug, "Of course I can also talk your ear off about Dungeons and Dragons, which I will be role playing tomorrow." That was her favorite topic.
"When is a good night for the girls night. I am free any night except tonight and tomorrow." She wondered if maybe she was jumping the gun. What was proper girl night etiquette. Silver was at a loss. "It was really nice meeting you. Here is my number and email, feel free to use either one. Your night does not sound boring at all. I hope to hear from you." Silver waved bye to her new found friend.
