Elena was by herself like usual. She was sitting outside of her classroom her back against the wall and her knees raised up so she could read her book. She was reading a book about the haunted ship queen mary her and the rest of the ghost hunting team is going to make a weekend trip of it here in a few months. She closed the book on the chapter after the vortex that is in the changing rooms. She could not wait to experince it all for herself she was suddenly brought out of her thoughts as she saw peopel going into the classroom.
Standing up she gathered up her stuff and went into the lockeroom and changed clothes. Then she went out int the gym and sat on the bleachers while she waited for everyone else to come in and for class to start. She saw some people come in and of course she was off by herself. She wished she was more outgoing and had made friends since she was moved her three years ago. She noticed suddenly someone looking at her and she gave them a small smile and wave and then she decided to say hi to see what would happen. "Hi."

Victor had his days he hated having P.E. for first period, one got worked up and sweaty and the smell seemed to linger on for the whole day. The only plus was that it was coed, which meant there was always eye candy. He knew it was ok to look, just don't touch and don't let the girl know you were looking.
He dressed for class, in a pair of gray gym shorts, a t-shirt that said, 'I do believe in spooks!' He wasn't ashamed to admit it, ghosts and ghouls were quite cool!
He started to stretch out before doing the actual calisthenics. He sat on the ground and put his legs out in front of him and started to reach for his toes.
He saw a girl sitting on the bleachers by herself. He never really had talked to her before, granted it was always hard to say to someone, "Hey wanna come over see my pet tarantula?" It just wasn't in every day language.
He walked over to her and was surprised to have a welcome. "Hi." He replied sitting next to her. "I don't think I ever introduced myself, I'm Victor."

Elena held out her hand with a smile on her face. "I am Elena" she said. She noticed his shirt and looked up at him. "Do you believe for real or just for fun?" she asked curiously. If he was serious and believed for real that would be so cool. That would mean she found someone that believed in the same thing she did which she has not yet at the school. And she did not go around advertising her passion to much, it would make her distant from everyone else even more. "I mean about the spooks as the shirt say" she said just in case he did understand what she was asking.
"I mean I would not call them spooks or make fun of them they don't like it same as they hate being provoked but that does get results" she said and shrugged. She did call them earth bound spirits or sometimes you have demons which she hated because they are the most dangerous. "Sorry habit of mine" she said and blushed when she realized how stupid she might have sounded at that moment. "I take ghost seriously" she said and shrugged.
"And like you said you did not introduce yourself before. That could be because I don't really stand out with the beautiful barbies around here" she said looking around the room pointly. She was not the california beauty but that was okay with her she was very happy with her looks and who she was. "And I kind of blend in with the background" she glanced at him and stretched out her legs and crossed them at the ankles. "So this just might of been the first time you have even noticed me." Elena was honest that is for sure she did speak her mind, and she was honest that was just the kind of person she was, she did not have time to beat around the bush, you only live once so you had to be honest with people since you could die tommrow unexpectatly.

"Its a pleasure Elena." Victor replied taking her hand. "In ghosts? Course I do! I've read just about everything I can about them and about haunted places here in SoCal!" A girl who like ghosts like possibly monsters as well. "In fact a few weeks ago a bunch of us went to an old lighthouse that had been the scene of a murder/suicide, the case was never really resolved so no one knows what happened."
"The shirt is only for fun, if I go ghost hunting then I know not to wear it, I don't want to be a victim of an angry spirit." He smiled at her. "Its ok, I get the same way when I hear someone who is skeptical."
"I have one rule, if they can like Cuddles then I'll talk to them." This would be a true test for her. "Most girls agree until they see that Cuddles is a tarantula, that sends them to the hills."
"Nothing wrong with being in the background, sometimes thats what make a person stand out even more. They aren't trying to be like everyone else." He liked her already, even if it only was for friendship.

"Amatures should be careful going huntings. Sometimes you can bring them home with you." She knew some that happened to and they had to be blessed and their homes and everything it was not pertty. Espically when it was a demon that might want to follow you home, and as a amature you are more suseptable to them because they know they can get to you easier then anyone else. "You can be possesed or anything or bring something evil with you, trust me seeing someone possesed it not fun" she said. "Sorry I work for the local ghost hunting society so I go out with them and stuff. And well it can be dangerous for amatures to do it without having the proper equipment and stuff" she said. "But I assume you and your party made it back in one peace" she said and smiled.
"Spiders not my most favorite thing but not the scariest thing out there. A lot of things like death are a whole lot scarier then some spider" she shrugged and looked around and then looked back at Victor. "And some pertty mean manba jamba ghost to are a lot scarier then a spider" she smiled knowing he would know what she was talking about. "Something has been on my mind since you said you went to that old light house. One did you try to provoke whatever it is? I hope not I mean no offense you don't seem like you do ghost hunting to much or professionaly so it can be dangerous doing that. And really you shouldn't do something like that without back up that can really help out and stuff. And two did you get any activity because if so I might tell my boss about since we have heard of it and want to look into it. We just have not got any reports of any activity in the place."
She nodded as he talked. "I guess it could be that way" Elena told him. "I just know I don't stand out like the sexy cheerleaders and stuff and that is fine with me. I don't tihnk getting hit on by guys just cause you look good is something I want to happen constantly would get a bit annoying" she said. "I mean dead men are enough trouble espically if they want to hurt women or pinch butts or what not and then to deal with alive ones well that is a pain because you can't just tell them to go away and leave you alone. They always keep coming back to bother you over and over again" she said and laughed. "But I have to say I am glad you came over and talked to me, your not some perverted guy which is a good thing. You are actually cool at least in my book of being a wallflower" she joked with a smile.
