Friday!!! Roxy did a little happy dance in her room while she was getting ready. Roxy's grounding had only been lifted this week so this would be her first free weekend in quite some time. It was something that Roxy thought deserved a celebration. Finally free! And she even had plans this weekend...well, she had plans on Sunday at least. As for today after school and Saturday...she'd figure something out she was sure. Maybe she'd even go bother that Levi kid again. He was a nervous wreck but Roxy thought he was still okay.
As for her other friends...Roxy was sort of avoiding telling Thad that she was out of their werewolf hunt. She was sure that Ezzie would understand once she explained her reasons...about feeling bad now that it had been pointed out to her that they were basically creating a slander campaign against once poor guy that she didn't even know. But Thad...he'd be harder to convince. If Roxy tended to get caught up in things...Thad was perhaps worse.
Brushing her long dark hair and dressing herself in skinny jeans and a T-shirt, accessorizing with an assortment of brightly colored jewelry as per usual, she headed downstairs, grabbing a pop tart on her way outside towards her bicycle. Sometimes she liked to wait around and bum rides from the Cotton's but not today. As soon as she saw Thad she'd have to spill and if she could put that off...yeah...Roxy grabbed her bike and started to school on her own.
Once she arrived she headed over to the bike rack and safely secured her bike and locked it up. She took a step backward, away from the rack, accidentally walking into someone. "Oh! Sorry!" she said loudly as she turned to see who she'd stepped on.

Casper's drive to school was a peaceful one, his brothers had decided to brave the local public transport. How they had managed to get their parents to sign of on this was beyond him, but he braved the car. He had his ipod attached to his ears to listen to his music rather than the drivel of the driver who was speaking in his native tongue. Or was he singing to something on the radio badly in the native tongue. This was the usual routine for them every morning, the driver would drive them up the wall with his singing.
The car's slowing told him they had almost arrived, his eyes drifted up to look at the approaching school buildings. Casper grabbed his school bag from one of the passenger seat, as soon as the car stopped he jumped out of it.
"I'll be here after your school activities have finished, your mother has left explicit instructions that you are to convince your brothers to take the car back to the house." the driver said to him Casper smiled.
"I'll pass on the message, but you should know they probably won't listen." Casper said to him the man laughed.
Casper readjusted the shoulder strap of his back pack before slamming the door and heading towards the entrance of the school. He wanted to eat before the day really started, the house was one of chaos this morning. As he walked past the bike rack he found himself walked into by a pretty girl.
"Oh! Sorry!"
"It was an accident, are you okay?" Casper asked her.

Roxy looked up at the guy in front of her. Her first thought was that he was tall, but then again at 5'3", most people were tall to Roxy. But even so, this guy was especially tall. And Roxy didn't really wear heels so he had at least a foot on her. She craned her neck as she grinned up at him. "All's good," she said with a shrug. "I'm fine--you okay though? I'm pretty sure that I stepped on your foot," she said, looking down at their feet for a moment and deciding that his large feet that went along with his tall exterior could hardly be hurt by her 6 and halfs.
The thought of it made Roxy giggle. "Sorry," she said again. "Not laughing at you...just laughing. I like to find the humor in things," she explained, which was very much true. Roxy was rarely the one to rain on the parade. Even in what seemed like the darkest of times, the bubbly freshman could usually remain rather charismatic. She really was just a happy person for the most part.
It wasn't as if she never complained about things...she certainly complained about her parents enough but she mostly believed that doing something about it was better than just taking it and being miserable. This was often the cause for Roxy's rebellious, which often gave her a real laugh. Most of them were rather innocent after all, and the stuff that wasn't so much...she chose not to think about because there was no use bringing down her mood.
"So did you ride your bike to school too?" Roxy asked as she twirled a strand of her hair and tried to assess if any of the bikes were large enough for someone so tall and decided no. After all, the majority of the people riding bikes to school were underclassmen and he looked pretty old. Older than a freshman at least.

Casper gave her a sheepish smile then checked his feet, "Nope all in tact down there, besides you only stepped on one of my feet, I can still use the other to hop." Casper explained to her with amusement. "I didn't think you were laughing at me." he said with a politeness. "Life would be pretty dole if we didn't find ways to be amused, or things to laugh at." Casper told her.
When she asked about him riding in on a bike, he almost wished that he could do just that, it would make life a little more interesting. It would also let people know that he didn't lead a completely sheltered life, he understood his parents wish to keep their children safe. He knew that their were people who would love nothing more than to hurt his father and their family both physically and mentally.
"No I get driven in each morning." Casper explained to her with a smile. "We took a big step forward in my house today, my brothers rode the bus to school. But I know my brothers well enough to know they will probably only do it once, just so they can say they have ridden a bus in LA." Casper told her. "I own a bike and I use it to exercise, but ride it to school is just a little to far beyond what my parents would deem a good idea." Casper added.

Roxy smiled when he said he could hop since she'd only stepped on one foot. She was glad that he had a sense of humor about it all. Not everyone did. Roxy hated when people were too serious. Being serious was boring. Yet at the same time, sometimes this hurt Roxy because when it was time to be serious she had a hard time. She usually made out okay though. "Yeah," she agreed when he said about life having lots of things to laugh at, "I think my philosophy is to always laugh at yourself. If you can't laugh at yourself...well, life is gonna suck. You may as well make the best of it all and have a good time." Maybe Roxy was still pretty young, but having parents that constantly were trying to control her life had helped her form this philosophy. And she really believed it.
"Oh that's cool," Roxy said, not really thinking much of him getting a ride in. She didn't know how old he was but perhaps he didn't have his license yet. "I get a ride with my neighbors a lot and sometimes take the bus. Today felt like a bike sort of day," she said with a shrug. She couldn't imagine her parents telling her that she couldn't ride her bike to school...after all, her mother didn't really like driving her. But maybe he lived farther from the school than she did. Either way, Roxy didn't really think much of it.

He looked at her, "My father is an ambassador to this country, I guess its what most people would say is a security measure. Our parents like to know where we are when we aren't in the house. I don't own a car, but I have a drivers license, so when I want to go somewhere I borrow my mothers car." Casper said as he was the oldest child and the only one old enough to have a license, it meant that he had more freedoms than his brothers. "I would like more freedom than I am given at times, things are done differently where I come from. If I tried what some American's try with their parents, it would not be good for me or my brothers for a while." Casper explained.
He put it down to his parents being strict with their children, they wanted nothing but the best for the boys. He didn't want to give the girl the wrong impression, he wasn't as spoiled as some of the people who were driven about in what ever cars they had or limo's by their own personal drivers. He tried to be down to earth, it didn't always work of course, but that didn't stop him trying to be down to earth.
"Biking to school sounds like a lot of fun, certainly a lot better than getting a bus, or sitting in a car." Casper told her.

Roxy nodded as she listened to this guy tell her about his family. She was sort of surprised that he was telling her all this when she didn't even know his name. She'd have to change that. When he finished talking, she'd introduce herself officially. However instead when he finished, she ended up blurting, "That sucks." Roxy made a face realizing that she'd just pretty much told this guy that his life sucked and quickly dove in explaining herself, "I mean....that the lack of freedom thing...doesn't sound like too much fun. I mean...my parents are pretty strict too, but I've gotten kind of good and sneaking out and striking back," she said with a nod, probably making herself sound like a little brat. "I"m Roxy by the way, what's your name?" she added quickly, knowing that she'd done a poor job of saving face. She offered out her hand to shake.
Despite Roxy's best efforts and all the things she'd done, she was still very much immature and didn't always know how to handle herself in different situations. It was one of the many reasons that she was often finding herself in trouble. "Yeah...riding your bike to school is fun..." she said a little lamely. "But sometimes when I'm still really sleepy in the morning, I prefer to just get a ride," she said. Then she could at least sleep in the back seat or something.

He gave her a look, "In my family your taught two things from birth, one of them is to love god, the other is to fear my father when his angry. Well not quite but its something along those lines, its not all about my parents strictness, I guess its also to do with respect for my parents wishes. But like I said I'm not all about the do as I'm told." Casper said to her.
"Nice to meet you Roxy, I'm Casper." Casper introduced himself with a smile. "I love to ride, whether its just around the family estate and local area it doesn't really matter, whether its a bike or a motor bike, so long as it has two wheels it doesn't really matter. When your made to do most of the work yourself on a push bike, you get more out of it I guess." Casper said to him, he didn't have many outlets compared to most people he guessed, but he still had a lot of fun. One of his key rules was not to tell anyone anything about himself of his family, that the person couldn't get by googling his mother or father. Telling the girl about his fathers job was not a personal revelation it was a matter of fact. It wasn't a bragging statement, it was a mere statement of fact. "I'm like you though, being driven in if your tired is a really good excuse to sleep." Casper said with a grin.

Roxy just stood there as he went on about his family. She was surprised that he was telling her all this. They had just met after all, and it seemed personal. Sure, Roxy didn't have a problem telling anyone how her parents were...always forcing her to go on auditions...trying to make her famous no matter how much she resisted. But that seemed different. Maybe it wasn't though. Maybe it was the same, but it still felt like to Roxy like he was telling her some personal stuff. Like sure her parents could be strict but she'd never been taught to fear them or anything like that.
"Nice to meet you too," Roxy said, still feeling a little awkward based on the stuff he'd just told her. But then he moved on to riding bikes and that was a much more favorable topic. "You have a motorcycle?" Roxy asked. Now that was cool. "I've always wanted to ride on one but I never have," she said. "It seems like it would be fun. I don't really know anyone that has anything like that though," she said with a shrug. There was just something kind of rough about motorcycles...like something only bad boys would have...like something that would piss off her parents if they ever found out she rode one. All around appealing. Sure, any kind of motorized bike sounded like fun...she was pretty sure it was the wind in the face kind of thing, but motorcycles were definitely the coolest.
"Yeah, for me my bike is more just transportation," Roxy said with a shrug. She supposed being interested in exercising was good any all....healthy, but she was 15, and had a high metabolism. She could pretty much eat whatever she wanted, not exercise one bit, and still be super skinny. Maybe it wouldn't always be that way, but for now Roxy felt like she should take full advantage of it. Although at the same time although she didn't exercise purposely or anything, she was a rather hyper girl and was always running around and doing something so even once her metabolism slowed when she got a little older, she'd probably be okay.

Casper gave her a wistful smile, "No sadly not, one of the cooks we have has a bike that he lets me borrow sometimes, mainly when my parents are out of town or just out for an entire evening." Casper said to her he was well aware of his own track record on the road, so he was always careful. He also didn't want to explain to his parents what he was doing on a bike if he ended up in the ER. That would not impress his parents, who had drilled into all three of them that they should not get on a motorbike any bigger than a scooter. But like anyone who was told not to do something, he went and did it anyway. His brush with death had done nothing to quell is need for speed. "Riding a motor cycle isn't for everyone, but its pretty freeing when your doing it, you don't get the same feeling when your driving a car. Even if the car is a convertable." Casper said he loved the feeling of both and being free. So he got his kicks out of surfing.
He listened to her say she used it for transportation, he wondered why she had only this view. She clearly wasn't one of these rich kids who insisted on being driven everywhere, she was much to nice for that. She clearly wasn't fat, though the sugar high might have something to do with it, he couldn't figure out why. She was short but not short enough to ride a kids bike, the girl was a very big enigma to him. It just meant that he would need to find out more about her.
"So what do you do in school, I mean I've seen you about but your a new talking face to me." Casper asked her.
