“Uh, Dare. He’s pretty cool.” Evan spoke quickly, half hoping that Brit wouldn’t understand him. He was kinda worried about what she planned to do with that information, but he figured it wasn’t his right to ask. After all, he was in the wrong, even if he didn’t want the kisses to happen in the first place. So any consequences, he would just have to deal with. Hopefully there wouldn’t be any, he didn’t like consequences. They weren’t fun, and he really liked fun stuff.
It did make him just a little nervous, her saying she thought it would be okay. He would have much preferred for her to say it was ok, not that she thought it would be, but again, he was in the wrong, so he was going to take whatever she gave him. And grovel until it was okay. And though she said he didn’t have to do anything to make it up to her, he wasn’t going to settle for that. He’d find something to make it up to her. Maybe something noisy and hard to miss, that was his usual style.
It was good to know she trusted him though, and knew he didn’t do it on purpose. Cause he liked to think of himself as a decent-ish boyfriend, at least he tried to be. And he reckoned he’d been doing a pretty good job of winging it too, until yesterday. That could have turned out a lot better.
And speaking of better, Brit seemed to be. She seemed to be getting more normal again, more Brit-like, so of course he started to feel better himself. And he figured that maybe the best thing now was to act normal. So then maybe things would get more normal, and stay that way. He really liked how things were between him and Brit, he didn’t want that to change. And so, he tried to be his usual self.
“If I don’t mind waiting? You mean I don’t get to shower with you? That’s not fair!” he tried to joke half-heartedly, grinning a little. “Okay, I can wait. I’ll even clean up here a little and stuff, do the dishes. Hey, I can do the dishes, don’t look at me like that. I just don’t like doing them often, is all, but I’m a mad dishwasher, I’ll have you know.” He stood up himself, hovering awkwardly, wondering if he should kiss her. He really wanted to of course, but he wasn’t sure if he was meant to yet, or wait. Girls were really tricky to understand. One thing he was fairly certain on though, with his confession, their morning of lazing around and doing nothing was off the cards.

"Right," Brit said with another nod of her head. Again, she was still unsure what she'd do with this information. Syn, sister of Dare had tried to kiss her boyfriend. Brittany wasn't exactly the confrontational type...unless is was Aly. Aly was probably the only person she'd confront if something had been done to her. Or possibly Sarah Brody, but then again, they had a bit of a history. Brittany had never really confronted anyone she didn't know and she didn't really plan to either. But she did sort of want to see this girl. Maybe it would make it worse but Brit had sort of convinced herself that seeing her would make it better.
The whole thing was so surreal. This Syn girl, sister of Dare, had come on to her boyfriend. Evan claimed that the girl knew about Brittany, but how much of that was true. All of it? She really did trust Evan, but something still felt off about this whole thing. Was he leaving something out? Maybe... Brit couldn't exactly blame him for that though....she imagined that if she were him, she'd want to leave stuff out too. But she did deserve to know. This girl had tried to kiss him...she was pretty sure that she deserved to know exactly what had happened.
But she figured for now, she'd let it go. She was upset enough and Evan seemed equally upset. And he had seemingly told her right away, which told her he didn't really have anything to hide anyway. She'd ask again later maybe...once things felt more normal again. It already seemed like it was getting better and Brittany wanted to stay on that track. She didn't want to revert back to how she felt in the beginning of their conversation. Not now at least.
As he teased her about jumping in the shower with her, she couldn't help but smirk, feeling normal again. At least Evan was acting normal, and Evan acting normal instead of apologetic made her feel better, as if everything really would be okay. She gave him a look, actually sort of considering it (after all, when else would they get this chance?) when he offered to do all of the dishes. Brittany couldn't help but giggle at that. "You doing dishes?" she asked, looking at him skeptically, "Yeah right," she said. "We have a dishwasher anyway. We can just stack the plates in there."
Her heart started beating a little faster and she wondered if that meant she should go for it. Without really thinking, she grabbed him by the hand again. He looked like he wanted to kiss her but at that moment she knew she needed a bit more time before kissing. Probably not long, she'd probably be back to it before she knew it, but she at least needed a few more minutes...some time to think. And the shower was perfect for that, well a shower that didn't include Evan was. But still, she was already dragging him upstairs to her room, thus leading him on, but maybe he deserved it a little. Jimmy was sleeping on the floor of her room and Brittany grinned.
"Perfect, Jimmy could use some company," she told Evan. "I'll be right back," she informed him, sticking with a cheek kiss for now. She didn't really know what she was doing really. She was sort of making it all up as she went along. She had planned to pull Evan into the shower with her but now she'd already changed her mind. She headed to the bathroom and turned the water on. Part of her wondered if Evan would follow her in, deciding that she didn't think she'd mind it if he did, but she wasn't going to invite him either. Maybe she'd return to the room in just her towel. She hadn't brought any clothes to change into anyway. Decisions, decisions...all annoying due to the complications of the morning. Brittany had been looking forward to the lazy morning...just the two of them. But now was that even possible to happen?

Evan couldn’t say he was really disappointed that Brittany took him off dish washing duty. Not that he found it that bad, it just got really boring sometimes. And when he got bored, he got antsy, and when he got antsy, he made up little games like plate juggling, or working out how many glasses he could stack before they all fell. And those games usually always ended up with a now entertained Evan surrounded by a stack of broken dishes. Which was something he figured wouldn’t go down great with Brit’s mother. Besides, dish washing was a chore, and on principle he’d always tried to avoid such things. Especially vacuuming, it was the work of the devil. He found a way to avoid that too, leaving his bedroom floor so cluttered it was impossible to vacuum. He wasn’t stupid.
Standing up, he caught sight of the way his girlfriend was looking at him. And as he wondered if she was trying to tell him that he could kiss her now, she grabbed his hand and started to drag him away. Of course, this was enough to leave him grinning like a mad man, Brit was going to pull him into the shower after all. And a shower with your hot girlfriend was not something you knocked back, he figured. It was something you enjoyed, and the next time you were alone, gave a happy dance for. Plus, if she wanted to shower with him, then that had to mean things were good again. He liked it when things were good.
She was a little enthusiastic on dragging him at the stairs, Evan having stumped his toes a bit on the first couple. That had to be good to, and he started moving a bit quicker himself, just as keen now on a shower. After all, personal hygiene was important, and two showers that morning would mean he was all clean and sparkly. Not to mention showering two at a time helped save water. So here they were, about to be all environmentally friendly. Awesome.
Then when he was pulled into the direction of her room, he figured she just wanted to grab some clothes, until she told him otherwise. And talk about a downer. “You are so mean.” he teased, wondering what kind of company a sleeping dog would need, but he nodded anyway. He still felt just a bit on eggshells around Brit, so he had to be careful. “Sure thing, me and Jimmy will just chill.” he laughed, and when she left the room, he plonked himself on the floor alongside.
He half considered joining Brit still, but he figured if she wanted him in the shower, she would have told him that. So maybe she just needed her space or something, or wasn’t ready for them to get all jiggy with it again just yet. She did give him just a peck on the cheek after all, and it had been a while since either of them settled with just that. Time alone for him meant thinking, and since all the stuff currently on his mind made him worry more, Evan decided he didn’t like time to himself as much.
So, maybe just a little selfishly, he reached out to give Jimmy a bit of a pat, the dog opening his eyes just a little before spreading himself somewhat over Evan’s chest. “Good to see you too boy.” he chuckled, continuing to pat him. “So, how do you reckon I could get back into Brit’s good books eh?”

Brittany felt sort of bad about leaving Evan in her room but at the same time she still kept changing her mind about it all...going back and forth and around in circles in her head. First she was going to drag Evan into the shower with her...then she didn't want to...and now that she was in the shower she sort of wished she'd asked him. Why did these things have to be so confusing? Why did that stupid Syn girl have to try and kiss her boyfriend? Brittany wanted to scream. The more she processed, the angrier she got--not at Evan, but at Syn. Maybe she should confront the girl? Could Brit even go through with it.
She thought about these things as she washed her hair and even as she finished up her shower and finally brushed her teeth. She towel dried her hair before wrapping the fuzzy blue towel around her body. She tossed her pajamas in the hamper in the hallway on the walk back to her room, slightly nervous about what Evan had been up to in her room. Probably just hanging out with Jimmy--after all, Jimmy was pretty awesome. The best dog ever really. She sort of felt bad for him sometimes though because since they'd moved out of her apartment and into this house after he mother remarried, he not only had to deal with Aly, but Brit had gotten a new lofted bed which she knew Jimmy hated because he couldn't really get up there on his own and he'd always liked to sleep in Brit's bed with her at night.
When she finally did re-enter her room she smiled at the sight of Evan on the floor with her dog on his lap. "Hey," she said, kneeling down on the floor beside him. It felt weird. What would make it not weird. Maybe she should kiss him. Maybe if she kissed him it wouldn't be weird anymore. But then again if she kissed him and it was still weird...that would be worse.
Just do it, she told herself silently. She needed to just get it over with and as much as Brit knew that kissing her boyfriend shouldn't be something that she just wanted to get over with, she knew that it wasn't like that. That stupid Syn girl had just ruined everything! Brittany silently cursed her in her mind before leaning forward and pressing her lips onto Evan's. It was a little weird...but then Jimmy jumped up and tried to join in the action, licking their faces mid kiss and causing Brit to start cracking up. She nudged her dog slightly, pushing him away as she fell back, since she was laughing so hard. Now laying down on the floor she reached out and tugged on Evan. "Get over here and lets try that again," she grinned. And just like that...the laughing and the kissing combined seemed to take the pressure off a little. It made it okay again...well at least until Brit punched that Syn girl in the face. Okay...maybe she wouldn't go that far, but she also knew that she couldn't just let it go. Her non-reaction had finally turned into anger...just not anger towards Evan.

So far, all Evan seemed to get from Jimmy was a few slobbery licks across his face, and he wasn’t quite sure that would help win Brit over. Though, the image of him pinning Brit down and suddenly licking her face was funny, and just enough to help keep his mind off things as he played with her dog. And attempt to push the large dog off him. And give up and let the large dog settle comfortably on his chest, with the occasionally slobber to his face. Eventually, he managed to sit up a little, though it seemed Jimmy wasn’t going to budge, lying draped on his lap was well he was going to stay. “Alright, alright, you can borrow that spot from Brit for a little while.
Then Brit came him, and he grinned up at her, his head tilted lightly as he tried not to stare at her for too long. But it was really, really hard. Especially as she was only wearing a towel. A fuzzy towel. That had to be a good sign, if she was going to be cold or something to him, he figured she would have slipped her pjs back on. Not come into her room with only a towel on, and looking all very sexy to his mind. That was a really good sign.
“Hey.” he grinned back, managing to look at her face now as Brittany made her way over to sit next to him. It felt weird. He argued with himself about kissing her. He really wanted to of course, he generally always wanted to kiss her. But he didn’t get women, so he didn’t know if she didn’t want him to yet, if she wanted to take it slow maybe, if kissing her would make her feel pressured. He generally had no idea, and he found that very awkward.
And as he still debated with himself about whether he should kiss her or not, she made the first move. And the soft touch of lips against his own still unfortunately felt odd. Just like the dog tongue moving from her face to his. Pulling away, he joined in Brit’s laughter, watching as Brit pushed Jimmy away. And then fell back.
Evan was going to help her up, but she decided to bring him down with her, not that he minded one bit. Moving over Brit, he still chuckled lightly, keeping his arms on either side of her to support his weight. “Seriously, Jimmy is awesome, but he’s a mood killer. Either that, or he just doesn’t want me hogging you all to myself.” he smirked, his hopes for a lazy morning with his girlfriend now renewed. It was feeling normal, this was normal, and he really liked it.
Kissing her again, he took his time, now they had no dog butting in. “Just you and me, oh and Jimmy but I’m hogging you for this morning, all alone in this big empty house.” he grinned, pressing a playfully kiss on her shoulder. “And you, my hot girlfriend, are just in a towel. What ever shall we do to pass the time?” he teased, his expression going just a little more sober as he rested his forehead against hers. “Are you sure you’re okay?”
And when it seemed like she was, he gave a little laugh. “Don’t know if this is the best moment and all, especially with Jimmy now trying to sniff my butt.” Evan grinned. “But, I figured, better now then never, so um...” He worked this out ages ago, it was just figuring out the right time to share it. And with all this trouble, he guessed that maybe now was the right time, so she would really believe him, that he would never hurt her. “You know, um, well, I’m not really good at nerves, you know.” he admittedly, smiling nervously, “I love you.”

It was okay...it really was okay...but then he asked her if she was okay. Brittany pushed some of her damp hair off of her face as she looked up at him. "Yeah...I just...don't want to talk about it, okay," she said. She didn't even want to think about it. Stupid Syn girl. She shook the thought from her mind with another quick kiss, but for once, Evan actually wanted to talk. Strange.
He started going on about something...trying to get something out and then he did and her eyes bugged out a little. I love you? He loved her? "Seriously?" Brit blurted and then she shook her head, "Sorry! I'm sure that's not the response you expected," she said with a nervous laugh, "I mean, I love you too," she said, looking him in the eyes to let him know that she really did mean it. "It's kind of one of those things I was kind of thinking but I wasn't sure if I was ready to say or not yet because I mean, you know that I'm kind of new to this whole relationship thing...and I guess I just wasn't expecting you to say it...or think it," she admitted. She smirked, "You're just full of surprises this morning...aren't you."
Wow...he loved her...first another girl kissed him and now he loved her. It was all so surreal. Could it possibly be real? Was he just saying it because of what happened? No...it couldn't be. She'd meant the words she'd said and he'd meant them too...she felt it. It was the other girl that was in the wrong...not Evan. Her and Evan were perfect. Well, she hoped that they were. She leaned in and kissed him again.
Laying back down on the carpet, she rested her hand under her arm. "So...how are our snakes?" she asked rather lazily. "I feel like a bad snake mom...I haven't been to see them in awhile. I need to come over more. When is the next time your mom has work...would she totally freak if I stayed over one night? I mean, I don't have a ton of girlfriends but I could probably say I'm staying the night at Mal's or something," she offered. She'd done that once when the band had scored a late gig in San Diego. They'd spent the night there and Brit said that she was at Mal's and Mal had said that she was at Brit's. The Baxter's were emancipated so they hadn't had to worry and J.J. had just told his mom the truth because she didn't care. Brit's mom probably would have been okay with it too but it had been a school night.
And maybe it was bad of her to be planning sleepovers at her boyfriend's place...but he loved her. And if they were in love they should be able to spend the night with each other. Still, Brit had never really done anything quite like it before...or felt anything quite like it before. It was super crazy. But the thing was, that Brittany didn't care. She was really happy and for the first time this morning, she really wasn't thinking about Syn and Evan.

The first time you told your girlfriend you loved her, especially when it was the first girl you ever said that too, the one reaction you wouldn’t expect was her to ask “Seriously?” and shake her head. It was also a reaction you really wouldn’t want, and though he really hoped she would say she loved him back, he would kinda understand if she didn’t, he still wasn’t expecting her to do that. And so he stared for just a moment, his mouth wide open.
Then just when he didn’t think it could get any worse, Brittany laughed and he quickly started planning a clean getaway. But before he had the chance, she finally corrected herself, and he couldn’t think of anything else for the first few moments besides how relieved he was. Cause that would be pretty rough, to say I love you and have the girl laughed. That was like something from a horror movie.
What she had to say finally started to sink in though. And she loved him too! He grinned at this, as though someone had just given him a house full of candy, and let out a big whoop in excitement. “Well, I’m new to the whole relationship thing too.” Evan reminded, when he had a chance to calm down a bit. “And you know me. I like to surprise me. I really like surprising you.”
When she went to kiss him, of course he wasn’t going to say no, plonking another enthusiastic big wet one on her lips. And when, after a long while, she pulled away to start talking to him again, he rolled over onto his back, making a lot of noise doing it too, before pulling the girl into his arms. Despite what he told her earlier, this was shaping up to be the best morning ever! And he didn’t even eat all of his waffles!
“You should feel bad babe, you should feel real awful about neglecting our babies.” he told her soberly, giving a sigh. “But it’s alright, despite your neglect, I’ve been taking real good care of them, feed them mice all the time, make sure they have water, I even sing to them. I can tell, they really enjoy that. Almost as much as you enjoy my singing.” He pressed a kiss to the top of her head as he considered her next question.
“Well, Mum’s got night shift the rest of this week and all of next. You could always come over after school, and she’d been asleep when we get up, so she’d be none the wiser. Though, I don’t reckon she’d mine. She’s actually pretty cool that way. And reckon she’d like that more than us, say, sneaking around and having a quickie in a van.” he teased. “So yeah, if you can manage it with your mum, it’ll be really cool.” he enthused.
And a sleepover with Brittany sounded really, really good. “You could come over, play with our snakes, I could make you a mad dinner. Then we could eat candy, watch movies and get jiggy with it. Oh, we should so have a pillow fight!” he teased. “And that’ll be an awesome time to dye our hair.”
Stretching out a little, he cocked his head to see Jimmy position himself over his and Brittany’s feet. “Well, look at that, we’re stuck here now. Guess we’re gonna have to make out.” he told her, before laughing at her expression. “What? It’s a reasonable plan!” Still laughed, he gave her a brief kiss, keeping his arm around her waist. “When you do sleep over though, no deliberately waking up real early and watching me sleep. Cause that’ll be just a tad creepy.”

Brittany sort of felt bad for her whole reaction to the 'I love you' thing, but thankfully the moment she did say it back, Evan smiled and just seemed so happy. They'd be okay. They really would be. Brittany knew it by the look on his face. He wasn't into anyone but her. It was sort of a shame that the I love yous had to come after the whole Syn scandal, but perhaps that's what made him realize it...or maybe he knew before but was ready to tell her...or who knew. The important part was that he was telling her now and Brittany wasn't going to let anything else cloud that.
"I know, I know," she said about not visiting the snakes enough. After all, it was her who had originally wanted them. It was just hard to get over to Evan's every single day though. But she did want to spend more time with the snakes because come on...snakes were awesome. She really wished that she could bring them to her house. They'd probably freak out Aly and that would be pretty awesome. Brit especially liked holding them and letting them sort of wrap around her arms and what not. Snakes were just so cool...she didn't get why people would be scared of them.
"Oh really, they enjoy you singing?" she said skeptically, as if he was the worse singer in the world. "You play the drums for him too?" she mused. She knew that Evan had been trying to start a band for awhile but hadn't had too much luck yet. She almost felt bad knowing that her band was sort of in need for a drummer at the moment...but there was just no way they could replace Zac...even if it was only temporary. Plus, Ian had said that Zac was going to get some time out of rehab maybe soon and they could attempt some band practices. They hadn't had any since Zac had gotten shot and Brit certainly missed them.
"Really?" Brittany asked, about his mom having the night shift. "I'll have to see what I can do to pull this off. I would say tonight, but I want to be home tomorrow to possibly bother Aly with this thing. See one of her friends is planning this brunch thing and actually invited me too," she laughed. "I have to wait and see Aly's reaction to it...I have to do the opposite, ya know...if she actually wants to drag me along and make me miserable, I'll have to refuse, but if she doesn't want me to go, I'll have to go of course," she explained as if it was all very serious. "I don't even know why I was invited, maybe the girl saw the blonde and thought I was trying to be one of them--yeah, whenever I sleep over we can dye our hair. Maybe I'll pick some more hair dye up after school," she said, figuring she'd been meaning too anyway. Her blue streak was already fading and she planned to bleach it out before dying it back red again, as per Evan's request. She had liked the red anyway, so it all worked out.
She liked the rest of Evan's sleep over plan too...good dinner...candy...movies....pillow fights...she nodded enthusiastically as he'd listed them all. It sounded like fun and as much as she wanted to do it like say, tomorrow, she was thinking it might be even more fun on a school night. She'd have to figure out when the best date would be and then talk to her mom and make sure she was clear to go. After all, Brittany wasn't completely opposed to sneaking out, but she preferred to have permission to stay out, even if she was going to lie about where she'd be. She knew her mom would never check up on it anyway.
Jimmy crawled onto their feet and decided that that was the best sleeping spot for himself and settled down there. Brittany had to smirk. Lazy dog. Usually her dog was full of energy, but like herself, he was not a morning person...or dog, rather. "I guess you're right," Brittany said when Evan explained that they'd have to stay there and make out. "I mean we can't move Jimmy, so what else can we do?" she teased. She was still rolled up in just a towel which felt sort of weird but oh well. It wasn't as if Evan hadn't seen her naked before...and who knew what this would all lead to anyway. Luckily if they did move it to her bed, Jimmy couldn't really interrupt.
Brittany mocked offense when he mentioned about watching him sleep. "I guess the sleepover's off then since that really was my only reason for suggesting it," she teased before sticking out her tongue at him and then leaning in to give him a kiss.

“I do sing to our pets, and they love it. Just like you love it. Don’t deny it. I’ve seen the smile on your face, seen you bop to the beat when I sing. Don’t be jealous of my immense talent now babe.” Evan teased, moving to press a kiss to the tip of Brittany’s nose. It wasn’t his usual behaviour, he generally favoured the good ‘ol fashioned kiss to the lips, but seeing how they were all snugly and happy and loved up now, he just couldn’t help himself. His girlfriend loved him after all. And for a guy who could get excited over a piece of candy, or a new DVD, this new development was basically thrilling. Though he tried to hide just how thrilling it was, to her anyway, it wasn’t cool otherwise. He did pity Patch, when he next saw his friend. He was going to hear all about this morning, and most likely in extreme detail.
“No, I’ve never played the drums for them. But that’s a sweet idea Blondie! They’ll love it for sure. I’m an awesome drummer. I should sing and play at the same time for them. Maybe something from AC/DC, or a bit of Led Zepplin. Or White Snake!” He laughed for a good ten seconds at his own wit there. “Face it babe, your boy is witty and has skillz. I’m a catch. No wonder you can’t keep your hands off me.”
Turning a little on his side so he could see her better as she talked, he started cracking up as she told him her possible plans for tomorrow. “No, you have to go, no matter what she says. You can’t pass up an opportunity that good! And there’s no way Aly would want you to go. I mean, I know you guys aren’t as bad as before, but still, bet my handsome head she wouldn’t want you to tag along. So you have to. Gonna be so funny. Pity it’s not like a plus one thing, bet she would love me coming and staying by her side the whole time. She hides it well, but I reckon she likes me.”
He couldn’t imagine why someone Aly was friends with would invite Brit to something. Not that he could blame them, Brittany was awesome and cool, even more so than he was, and that was saying a lot. But still, if Aly didn’t like her, he couldn’t see Aly’s friends liking her either. Or even if they did, he figured they’d be nice and not invite Brit, knowing Aly’s feelings. Either way, it was hilarious. “Still, it’s cool. Brunch is mad! Three meals a day isn’t enough after all. So where is it? Bet it’s somewhere real fancy. Do you have to wear a dress or something? Cause I’m willing to do a drive by your house tomorrow to perve. That’s just the kind of guy I am.”
“Mad, can’t wait to have cool coloured hair. Don’t mind what, just pick up whatever colour you like for me. Make it something sexy.” he smirked. “I mean, I know you can’t resist me already, but still, can’t hurt.” He saw Jimmy’s head turn just slightly away as he said that. “See, Jimmy knows too that you can’t get enough of me. That’s why he’s preparing himself, so he doesn’t have to watch when you jump me. Cause we both know that’s your master plan, why you got me into your room in the first place, why you’re wearing a towel and looking all sexy. I’m smart that way.”
He laughed as she agreed with him about being stuck, with making out their only option. “You’re a really good actress babe. I totally know you trained Jimmy to do that, pin me down. Cause he told me. Oh yeah, I understand dog speak now. Told you I got skillz.” He turned a little to look at Jimmy now. “What was that Jimmy? Kiss Brit? Now? Well, if you insist.” Laughing, he kissed her, pulling away for just a moment to kiss her again. “To make Jimmy happy of course.”
Her ‘threat’ to call the sleepover off made him grin, and Evan quickly shook his head. “No, you’ve got me all excited now, can’t do backsies. Alright, alright, let’s compromise. Okay, you can watch me sleep for an hour. No more. And geez babe, you drive a hard bargain.” he sighed, despite the fact that she actually didn’t say anything. “Ok, an hour of watching me sleep, and as much sex with my hot self that you want. That’s a fair deal, can’t say no to that.” he grinned. “Just let me know when you want to do it, to give me time to get stuff for dinner, and try to semi clean up my room. I’ll make it nice and purdy for you.”
Making himself look resigned, he moved so that he was completely lying on his back, playfully trying to move Jimmy away from his feet. “Okay, let the jumping of me commence.”

Brittany giggled as Evan went on about singing to the snakes and how great of s singer he was. He did seem to like her idea of playing the drums for them though. He seemed pretty excited about it which Brittany liked. He was a good drummer after all. And that's when another idea popped into Brit's head. "We should do like a side project," she said suddenly excited about the idea. "I mean, I'm never leaving The Rioter's but since we're sort of on hiatus right now--maybe we can do something," she said pointing to him then to herself. "I mean bands do it all the time...one of the members goes off and does a side project," she said. "I can sing and play the guitar...we could call it snake music....or something cooler than that..." she said, liking the sound of it. It could be just the two of them...they'd need a bass...but maybe she could get Evan bongos or something and they could do it all acoustic. "Come on...it'll be fun. Have you ever written songs before?" she asked. Brittany had no problem writing songs, but she honestly didn't know how musical Evan was outside of his drum abilities. It was one of the casualties of being in the band before she had met Evan. They'd never really done much together music wise even though it was a shared interest of theirs.
Brittany let out a sigh when he insisted that she go to the brunch thing. "Yeah...I don't really know much about it...all I know is that the invite is the invite was from that Bree girl, who must be off her rocker for inviting me, but it was delivered to me by Tyler Durnham who pretending to be flirting when he gave it to me..." And that's when it hit her...it was probably a joke. "Wait," she said, "I bet Bree didn't even really invite me. Tyler did that before...pretended to flirt with me...when I first did may hair blonde b/c of Aly putting that bleach in my shampoo...it was probably another trick planned between Aly and Tyler...I bet I wasn't even really invited...well, now you're right...I'll have to go," she said with a nod. That made much more sense anyway, after all, why on earth would that cheerleader girl, Bree, invite her to anything?
Making a face, Brittany let out a small sigh, now that she was convinced that she'd figured out the whole plan. "Although that does mean that both Aly and Tyler will probably be there...I wonder if they expect me to show up...probably not..." she went on. "I hate Tyler Durnham...sometimes I wonder if Durnham is actually and alias for Durden and if maybe he's secretly harboring a plot to blow up the entire city beneath that supposed charm," Brittany said, "I mean I guess it would suck if everything blew up in real life...but at least that would make him more interesting," she pointed out.
"And yeah...I guess brunch is pretty delicious," she said, and the host would probably be a casualty in it all when Brit showed up, but although Brittany had nothing against the other girl, she was still a cheerleader, so that was enough in her book. "Yeah...I think it is pretty fancy. I don't think there was a dress code on the invite but its at the four seasons. I know the invitation is real because I saw Aly's in her room. It's the same. Unless she has a fake one too to throw me off...I guess I'll just have to make sure I get a ride with her. That will make sure I go to the right place." Brittany didn't exactly fancy getting all dressed up though. It wasn't exactly her thing. But she'd do it if she had to... She was sure that her mere presence at the event would be enough to piss everyone off, so that was enough for her.
"Yeah...I can't wait for the non-blonde," she said. "I'm going to do red again," she told him, not added that her main reason for the choice was because he said that he'd liked it. She had liked it too after all--it was probably her favorite, and it was easier than changing it up every single time. After all, the colored dyes were never permanent so she could only change it up the time after that. "I was thinking maybe doing some streaks for you to start...before doing your whole head. You wanted lime green, right?" she asked. Maybe if she did bright ass red and he did lime green they would look like some crazy form of a neon Christmas couple, but Brit didn't exactly think that that was a bad thing. "I'm going to jump you, huh?" she said, smirking back at him. "Now I dunno about that," she said, although it was true, she had brought him back to her room and she was just wearing a towel. But the thing was, that none of that had really been planned. "Well, you're just going to have to wait around and see," Brittany teased.
Brit giggled as Evan went on about having a conversation with her dog. If it led to him kissing her, well, she had no complaints there. She was having a lot of fun...fun that she didn't think was possible this morning. Everything had fallen back into place and they were just Brittany and Evan again, only the parts of them that weren't back to normal now were even better since they were in love.
Brittany couldn't help but laugh when he said she could watch him sleep so she'd still sleep over. "That's more like it," she teased, but she couldn't really keep a straight face as the words came out. After all, she totally agreed that watching someone sleep was creepy. It was one thing if you happened upon it and saw them sleeping for a moment or two, but actually watching someone...weird. "Yeah...I'll figure it out and let you know," she said. She'd have to see which date worked best and then clear it with her mom...pretend she was staying at Mal's. But she was excited...she hoped that it would be able to happen soon....like within the next few days soon.
Brittany gave him a look when he told her she could jump him now. "I dunno...I told you that you were just going to have to wait at see," she teased, giving him her best serious look. Her towel was working its way undone...little known to Brit. After all, there was only so long that one corner of towel tucked into the rest of it would actually stay around a body and Brit had been in her towel for awhile now. "Okay...fine," she said with an over-dramatic sigh as if it was a big deal and she was doing him a huge favor. As if on cue, Jimmy finally got up off their feet and walked away and Brittany quickly got up and literally jumped on Evan. "There ya go," she teased. The only problem was, was that her physically jumping on him and loosened her towel enough for it to come undone. She caught it but it was very loose at the moment. "I guess I should probably put real clothes on at some point..." she said, her tone still teasing, since really, she knew what would probably come next.
