Gelsey glided down the hallway, arms full of fliers that Sidra had so kindly provided her. She didn't particularly dislike Hunter, of course -- there were few people she could truly be said to actively dislike -- but he'd once made mention of Weres taking down all the undead, which of course included her beloved zombies, so of course she just had to side with the vampires as her fellow corpses. Also, Sidra was her best friend, but that was entirely beside the point.
"Hullo," She beamed up at Duke Bryer, football hero and general womanizer -- or so she'd been lead to believe. She didn't really mind one way or another whether any of it was true; she had no quarrel with him herself, so whatever he did to other girls didn't much affect her. "Would you care to join the Undead Resistance? I mean, the resistance by the undead, not of them." She clarified, handing him one photocopied piece of propaganda.
"The purpose," She informed him, "Is, of course, to get defend the undead against the weres. I know that this pamphlet only really goes into depth about the vampires and the were-wolves, but the zombies are very much concerned with the fate of their allies, the vampires, so we had to be involved." She explained, looking at him expectantly.

Duke was leaning by his locker as he was reading the acceptance letter from the Army's GI education program. Duke sighed as he finished reading it. He didn't like this, it was too soon, and he didn't know how to tell Nichole about this. Then he shook his head and crumbled up his letter and toss it into the locker. He thought about just telling the army never mind he changed his mind.
He didn't want to leave now, now that Nichole knows his feelings of her, that night on Valentine's day he had a great time with her. But he wasn't sure if they are now a couple or something else. He wasn't sure where Nichole's heart lyes but he knew she really liked him, and he felt the same way about her. Then finally he realized how long he stood there till he heard a familiar voice ring into his mind. He shook his head and snapped out of it all thoughts were now gone, and focus on Gelsey.
Duke smiled down at her. "Hey there Gelsey!" he said as he turned fully towards her and leaned his back against the locker. He looked to the propaganda she handed him, with a smile. he listened to what this was, and looks to Gelsey as she finished her discription. Duke smiled. "Sure sounds like fun!" Duke said.

A satisfied smile flitted across Gelsey's pale face. "Lovely!" She told him, "I believe we're all meeting after school at the gym." By all she mainly meant herself and Sidra, though of course Thad and his friends would probably make an appearance as well -- unless Sidra had ordered them not to, which would be just like the other goth girl; the freshmen were enthusiastic, but otherwise rather prone to chaos.
"Unless you have something else to do, of course." Football season was over, but there were other school sports, school sports she didn't keep up with enough to know who participated in them. And, of course, Duke could have some other activity, something completely unconnected from school; rec center sports, or perhaps a date. It would neither surprise nor dismay her to learn this was the case. Few people were interested in dedicating themselves to her friend's cause; Gelsey herself only participated because Sidra was her friend; granted, it was fun, but even if it hadn't been she wouldn't have been able to say no.
In any event, he was supposedly wooing some cheerleader or other -- Gelsey couldn't be bothered to remember who -- so that meant he had undoubtedly heard about the animals the other night. "So is it true that someone snuck pigs into the cheerleader's dressing room Wednesday afternoon?" She'd heard something about a video, but nobody had been able to point her in that direction yet, and she'd been so busy helping Sidra she hadn't had a chance to search yet.

Duke smiled and nodded. "After school? sounds great!" Duke said as read the paper. "It'll give me idea's on what to write in my short stories!" he said. "vampires and were wolfs will work!" He smiled. He liked Gelsey she's sweet and fun. She has a way of lighting up his spirits when he is down in the dumps.
"After school gym got it!" he said as he lets her know that he is filing it away in his thoughts of a agenda. Duke then put the paper that Gelsey given him he first folded up and then put it in his wallet and back into his pocket of his jeans. With out realizing it something fallen out of his wallet and he didn't see it. It was a folded up paper with army seal mark on it. As he turned around to lock up his locker he waved to Gelsey "See ya after school!" he said and started to walk away.

Gelsey mentally made a notch in her belt; another recruit! Sidra would be so pleased. And having one of the football players on their side couldn't hurt, either; he was brawny, he could -- well, actually, he probably wouldn't be much use against anything supernatural, but he could at least fend off any of his fellow jocks (and the plastics who played opposite them on the high school stage) should any decide to pick on the freaks who hunted werewolves at school. She hoped for his sake that whatever he was writing wouldn't be Paramance, or if it was that he would refrain from showing it to Sidra; her friend had a notorious hatred for any works that softened and romanticized the undead's image, which meant pretty much any work admired by the popular culture.
She bent down to retrieve the paper that fell as he walked away, turning it over in her hands before straightening. The army, huh? Maybe he would be a better recruit than she'd originally suspected. "Duke, I do believe you've lost something." She hailed, holding the paper out in front of her as she slowly meandered after him, not at all in a hurry. "This looks important."

Duke, was looking at his watch and then he heard Gelsey, comeing up after him. With a folded up paper. Duke heard her calling him saying something about droping a paper. Duke turned around curious as to what he had dropped. When he finally turn fully towards her he looked down to see what it was that he dropped.
Duke was surprised it fell out of his wallet, it was the form, he need to fill out soon if he really wanted to take Active or reserve in the army. He gently took it from Gelsey. "Thanks a lot!" he said smiling. "I forgot I had this, I have 4 months left to get this filled out! You're a life savor!" he said as he refolded it up and then tuck it in his shirt pocket.
"Anyways I gotta get going, but hey I'll see ya at lunch yeah?" he said just letting her know he'll see her around and she was more than welcome to hang out, he was always on his own at lunch or just doing extra work for his classes to keep his grades up. "anyways I'll be out side by the trees!" he said and then waved her good bye again.
