Kian was glad it was too early for rush hour as he rushed back to school. He ran inside, practically running over a couple of unwary freshmen as he raced towards the weight room. He stopped outside the door to catch his breath before slipping inside. His dark hooded eyes scanned the room until they found Connor sitting on one of the portions of the universal weight machine. A slow smile played over the lower portion of his face, but his eyes were pure heat.
Kian didn't think Connor needed pumped up, but he looked pretty sexy with sweat dripping over his fair skin, damping his black curls. It was hard to refrain from moving to the other side of the room to be nearer, but he didn't want to disturb him and he knew it would be even harder not to let his fingers make designs in the trickles of sweat. He was pretty sure some of the other manly studs in there would object and as Kian had so far avoided being thrown in the laundry cart full of dirty towels, he didn't want to start now. He sat on a brown folding chair and watched with hungry eyes.

Being a runner, or at least, liking to think of himself as a runner, he was on the school’s track team after all, Connor tried to keep himself relatively fit. He went to every training session, ran a few times a week by himself, and he thought he was in pretty good shape. But then he got a boyfriend. A very cute, very sexy boyfriend. And Connor decided that maybe working out a bit more wasn’t the worst of ideas.
Weights had never been involved in his work out routine before. Actually, what he had before couldn’t really be called a routine. Now, it was. He liked to think of it as he was just trying to get even fitter, do better in the team, that it had nothing to do with the cute fellow Irishman he found himself spending a lot of time with lately. And he kept up this notion, even as he stepped up his exercise regimen when Kian got the boat, they got more privacy, and they really started seeing more of each other.
It wasn’t easy though, his arm strength certainly no match to the other guys currently occupying the weight room with him. Which he didn’t mind, he didn’t find the whole gross bulging arm thing appealing. He thought he was shaping up alright though, and so did someone else, he realised, sitting up to take a quick breather.
Turning his gaze into the direction where eyes were currently boring into him, Connor grinned at his boyfriend, mouthing hi before feeling around for a towel to wipe off some of the sweat that was pouring off him. And he quickly decided that was enough for the day.
Grabbing his water bottle, he moved over to Kian, unable to take the smile off his face, especially given the way his boyfriend was staring at him. He really liked that look. “Hey, didn’t expect you so early. Wanna pay a visit to your boat?” he smiled. “I’ll have a shower first then we can go, I’ll make myself a bit more pleasant to be around.”

When Connor's inky eyes met his, it was all Kian could do not to squee like a fan girl. He had to force himself to keep his seat until his boyfriend was right next to him. He stood and smiled, trying to remain cool, but knowing he was failing completely.
"You shouldn't even have to ask," Kian replied about the boat. "Hurry, please," Kian whispered, thinking he would rather he shower on the boat, then he could sneak in and join him. "I will have to shower on the boat... I forgot to at the Fencing Club. I was showing around a new guy."

He wasn’t stupid, and showering on the boat, especially when Kian would also be showering on the boat, was obviously a much better option than grabbing a quick shower in the locker room. A lot, lot better. “Well...” he stammered just slightly, his mind getting ahead of himself, before he calmed himself down. “I might as well just shower on the boat too. You know, to save time.” he shrugged, sounding as casual about it as possible. “I’ll just grab my stuff, and we can get going.”
He was sure he’d never been so keen to get anywhere in his life before, and his movements showed it, even though he tried his best to seem relaxed. Grabbing his sports bag, he threw his towel and water bottle in before heading back to his boyfriend, the bag slung around his shoulder.
“Ok, ready to go.” he grinned, taking Kian’s hand, not caring who saw him. He was long past caring about other people’s opinions after all. “So, I was thinking, why don’t I drive, and you can keep your car here. Cause you’ve got clothes and stuff on the boat. I thought I could take you to school, in the morning. Cause, you know, I’ve got an extra change of clothes in my bag.” Connor smiled just a little bit too widely at this offer.

Kian's heart leaped when Connor changed his mind and he was glad he was wearing a very loose singlet over his sweat pants, for apparently Little K was ready for action and sprang to attention. "Good for the environment too," he muttered trying to keep from sounding way too excited.
Kian wondered if there would ever come a time where it didn't thrill him when Connor took his hand in public. It made him feel so cared for. Twining their fingers together, he missed a step when Connor suggested they spend the night on the boat. "Oh my god, yes!" he almost yelled, all cool flying completely out the window. He almost lived for the nights they could sleep twined around each other. It made their relationship seem so real, so adult. He loved watching Connor sleep, listening to him snoring softly even when he sometimes drooled on the pillows. "Your mother won't mind?" His mother would probably make him twinsit sometime just because she would have something to hold over his head.

It just made Connor smile all the more, how excited his boyfriend was about the prospect of another ‘sleepover’ that night. Though, he hoped they would be doing a lot more than just sleeping. It just brought things down a bit to have his mum mentioned, though it was a good question, and one he didn’t even consider in his excitement to get his boyfriend alone. Besides, he planned on spending as much of the next few days possible trying to get back in Julia’s good books, she didn’t seem too pleased with him given the whole incident at lunch, and so he wanted to make it up to her. Which meant getting as much of a Kian fix tonight as possible.
“She shouldn’t. I’ll just call her now though, to check.” He held it off though until they reached his car, throwing his bag into the back seat before opening the passenger door for Kian. Sliding behind the wheel, he pulled his phone out, calling his mum. He was going to stay over at Julia’s, he decided was a good reason. Then he would call his friend, sweet talk her into backing up his story. And it would make his father happy, thinking he was spending the night with a girl. Even if it was impossible that he and his best friend would ever be anything more than that.
“Hey mum. Just wanted to check if I could stay over with Julia tonight? We’ve got a ton of homework and I’ve already got some spare clothes with me so I....yep, yep. Really? Thanks! Love you too. Bye.” Slipping the phone back in his pocket, he grinned at the guy next to him. “Mum says hi. So, it looks like I’m all yours for the night.” he smiled, starting the car up.

Kian was like a man transfixed, there was something so alive about Connor that afternoon, he just couldn't take his eyes off him. If he were a girl he might be afraid he was ovulating or in heat or something disgustingly feminine like that. As it was he knew he had it bad.
He got in the passenger side and buckled in since he was so spacey, he might fall out of the car by accident when he didn't notice the car door swing open. Grinning he found one of Connor's trade mark scarves and draped it around his neck in the casual way his boyfriend always wore it. It even smelled like Connor. He rubbed the fringe against his face and sighed.
"Have I told you lately how damned cute you are?" he asked, reaching over to pull Connor closer and gave him a knee-knocking deep kiss. There was no mistaking he was having a hard time waiting for privacy. Even a bush was tempting.

It was adorable the way that Kian had so eagerly latched onto one of Connor’s scarves. It was the first word that sprang to mind when he saw him, and it stuck still when his boyfriend pressed his face against it just briefly. It reassured him that the growing feelings weren’t one sided. Which was a great relief to know, because if they were, well, it would be pretty damn sucky.
“No, but feel free to...” he started to say, before it quickly became too difficult to talk, what with Kian’s lips pressed hard against his own. Not that Connor minded, talking was very overrated, he decided in that moment. And he happily stayed like this with his boyfriend until they both broke away, eventually deciding they would need to breathe soon.
“Well...” Connor drawled, staring ahead as if he worried that if he looked at Kian again, he’d give in to another kiss. Which was probably true. “Um, what were we doing? Oh yeah, boat.” It was only then he realised the car’s engine was running, and in even more of a hurry now, he pulled away from the parking lot, heading to the boat. “Um, put the radio on if you want.”

Kian would have chuckled at Connor's confusion if he weren't pretty much experiencing the same thing. Kissing Connor was pretty much a double-edged sword. As fun as it was to confuzzle his boyfriend, Kian usually got himself in much more of a fix. He reached over to turn on the radio as if he didn't have something to concentrate on, he might get them both killed by taking things further.
"Do you think we could ever get to the point where we will be together and not want to jump each other?" Kian asked, not able to imagine that at all. It took a lot of distraction for him not to climb on Connor during school, he couldn't imagine having a dinner party. They were usually so boring, he was sure he would be under the table within five minutes, pulling down his zipper

Kian’s question made him grin, and after a moment, Connor felt it was safe to tear his gaze away from the road for just a quick second to look at his boyfriend. “No.” he grinned, before focussing back on the task at hand. He wanted to get to the boat as soon as possible after all. Glancing in his side mirror, he quickly took a turn, getting closer to where the boat was docked. He knew the route now almost as well as he knew his way home from school.
“But that’s a good thing, isn’t it? I mean, that we always want to jump each other? Cause if we don’t anymore, that would be bad, really bad.” he decided. “We’ve just gotta get more willpower. After tonight.” he quickly clarified. Newfound willpower tonight was something that wasn’t going to do them much good.
And it was somewhat a relief to see the row of boats docked in the distance. And not just for the obvious, Connor just really wanted a shower. Staying all sweaty wasn’t the most comfortable feeling. And he was getting hungry too, that whole working up an appetite thing being very true. “So how did fencing go anyway? And the new guy? New friend?”
