- This is a joint effort between Holly Knowles & Nick Kimball –
Another spin of the dial and the combination lock clicked even if it couldn’t be heard over the hustle & bustle commotion of students. The locker door swung open wide and Nick had to bend down to pick up a pink envelope that fell out. He’d learned to recognize Holly's writing when he saw it, but this wasn't it. He glanced over his shoulder suddenly aware of the trouble this could cause if she were to see him with someone else’s Valentine Card. He was about to open the envelope to see who it was from when his mind finally registered what he should have seen from the very start. Black lace.
He'd opened his locker to find Holly's clothes in there on many occasion, normally on game days when she'd be in her cheerleading uniform most of the time. But the black bra, for that's clearly what it was, was something quite different. He ran it through his hands and figured it had to be the same get up from the pics she'd given him that morning. Without
thinking he tossed the pink envelope back into his locker and stuffed the lacey bra into his bag. His appetite was growing but it wasn't his stomach that was hungry. He made his way through the rush of people towards the cafeteria where he and Holly ate lunch with mostly mutual friends.
"The photo shoot alone would have been the perfect gift Darlin'," Nick leaned down for a quick peck on the lips and slid in beside the blonde bombshell. He patted the leather satchel slung over his shoulder and smiled the smile that only Valentine’s Day can put on a young man's face. "But the little something extra in our locker really throws you into a new
league of perfection Holly. It is the same from the shoot right?"
Holly turned, kissing him back. She had surprised him that morning with a seductive lingerie modeling photo in his locker, and then right before lunch, she had snuck the top half of the sheer lacy clothing into his locker as the 2nd half of the surprise. Part 3 was for later on that night. They had been together a year...it was finally time. "It is ... glad you liked it ... I'm wearing part of it now ..." Indeed Holly was, and it would probably torment Nick to think about it.
His appreciative eyes couldn't help but drift down to her lap, but like a gentleman they were quick to find her face again. "You make it easy to love ya, but concentrating in Calculus just got tougher." In truth Calculus was a subject he rather enjoyed. Controlling numbers and equations seemed to suit Nick even if he had to actually apply effort in the simpler subjects. "We're still on for dinner tonight?" He reached over and scooped an apple from someone's tray taking a big juicy bite.
There was a light smirk to Holly's full lips when nick's eye line slid toward her lap. She grinned when he mentioned trying to sit through Calc. "Yes we are still on for dinner...my parents are going out of town for the weekend..so I have the house to myself..." She let the words trail off, Nick was a smart boy, he knew what she was leading to.
He'd never been so happy to choke on an apple in his life. He thumped his chest and coughed while giving her a wide eyed stare. "So you'll probably need some company after dinner too, you know, just in case the boogie man tries to make a pass on ya." He tickled her lightly on the waist then forgot to remove his hand. *I hope she's saying what I think she's saying* Nick had been trying to take their relationship to the next level for a year now, which was about a week longer than they'd been dating. There was definitely a physical attraction between them and Nick had gotten himself into hot water a few too many times by pushing the point, but it sounded like this time Holly was making the move. Still, suggesting that they skip dinner all together would probably be a bad idea.
"I think I will definitely need a big strong guy there to protect me...might have to have you all night..." Holly said quietly, leaning into him as his arm stayed around her waist. Nick had been incredibly patient for most of their relationship, and it wasn't that she didn't love him, cause she did, it was her needing to be ready. "So..where was dinner again?" She asked, those full lips offering him a smile.
"Oh no you don't. I told you it’s a surprise." He was having a hard time focusing on the now as his mind raced ahead to the then. "You can't stand not knowing can you? Alright how about a hint? Let's see, it's French." He was quick to continue seeing that she was not going to let that pass as an acceptable hint. "It's not new, but I don't think you've ever been to
it." *Le Chateau Fleur De Panties* No Nick, concentrate or you'll screw it up before lunch is even over.
Holly gave him a perfect little pout as he refused to tell her any more then French. She grinned, standing up from the table, taking Nicks apple. "Come .. walk with me ..."
You didn't have to tell Nick twice though you did have to expect his slight delay. He took a few extra seconds to get up from the table; watching Holly was one of his favorite routines, he wasn't about to miss an opportunity to see swaying hips in action, especially burdened as they were in a yet unseen thong. Somewhere in his mind he made a note, she was skipping lunch that meant she would definitely be hungry later. Skipping Dinner just went out the window. He grabbed her books in one and her hand in the other. He managed a quick nod of his head to the others at the table before he was completely lost in the possibilities. "Black's a good color on you."
"I know." She grinned back at him, her fingers lacing with his as they walked out of the cafeteria and into the halls. The blond pulled her guy into a darkened alcove out of the way for a moment, her blue eyes on his. "Tell .. me .. where .. we .. are ... going ... please..." She punctuated each word with a feather light kiss to his lips.
That wasn't playing fair! That was downright dirty. Who cares?!?! We like dirty! Tell her which restaurant and stop being a dolt. It was a testament to Nick's hardheadedness that he even considered holding out further. That there was nothing to gain from it aside from proving just how stubborn he could be didn't seem to be enough of a deterrent. So he bought himself some time while his unyielding man mind tried to catch up with his desire for Holly's harmony. His tan fingers, though noticeably lighter than Patch's, were idly coiling locks of blonde hair and tucking them each behind those pretty little ears.
"Alright you win, Doll. We have reservations for two at Le Parapluie du Poisson." He'd been working on his French for years with little success, but the restaurant had a nice ring to it as it slipped off his tongue. "I hope you aren't over dressed." He gave her ear a playful tug.
Her fingers had threaded through his dark hair, willing him to tell her what she wanted to know. "Ooh..excellent choice baby....and after...when we go back to my house...you are going to get to see the live version of the photo.." She whispered into his ear, nibbling gently on it.
Nick's left knee quivered like a wet noodle sending his head back into the wall. But he wasn't seeing stars, he was seeing scantily clad Holly’s dancing in circles to frame her face. They were quick to fade and he was more than willing to put up with the knock on his head. "Have I told you just how much I love you? You're making me wish I'd gotten you something more than flowers and a carriage ride this morning. They were fresh out of midget ... err ... little people drivers. I thought to have him dressed as cupid but ...." He trailed off and left the rest unsaid. Score another point for bad timing.
"Shhh.." The blond bombshell said, pressing a finger to his lips. "The roses were beautiful, as was the carriage ride... made me feel like a princess....and you.. being more patient and waiting for me...is the best thing you could have ever bought." She assured him.
"Of course Holly. Of course I will wait. You know patience is not my forte, but I'm glad we waited and I will wait another year if you need it." That's what he said at least. Inside however his mind was berating itself. *What the hell is wrong with you Nick! Don't make us wait another year* Still it was the truth even if it meant another year of dropping hints and
complaining.
"I don't need another year.." Holly assured him, leaning in and catching his lips with hers. "As long as you can wait till tonight .. and you don't run off with some little skank ...You get me...tonight and for as long as you want me." She said
gently.
He was familiar with Holly's flirtatious side, but he'd never seen her this committed to their budding romance. Part of him wanted to just stay there with her lips on his and enjoy it, but the other part wanted to swing by Taco Bell and get dinner out of the way. And Lunch wasn't even over with half the school day yet to come. "You don't think," he tried to say but her lips were determined to wrestle his into submission. He tried again, "You don't really think I'd wander off with a skank do you?" Her lips pinned him to the mat again and he managed a "Actually someone did leave a card in the locker."
Holly smiled, draping her arms around his neck. "No..I don't think you would just run off with some skank, though..I heard Amello is dating 2 different guys..you could join her harem.." She teased, not really fond of the former drug user. "And who left you a note in your locker....you're mine.." Holly leaned up, kissing him deeply as to illustrate her point.
Holly's habit of posing a question and immediately following it up with a tongue twisting lip lock had never bothered Nick. He was never entirely sure though if it was her way of reminding him to word his answers carefully or just an easy way out so he wouldn't have to answer them at all. But Nick liked to talk too much to assume the later. He returned the kiss with just as much zeal and as timing would have it a buddy was walking past right at that moment. He gave him the thumps up behind Holly's back, but that was it. "As appealing as the harem route may sound I doubt it’s the route for me, Hol. I'd rather keep my hands full with just the one lovely lady thank you." He gave a her a quick squeeze on the rump to illustrate his own point. "I actually haven't even opened the card so I couldn't tell you who it's from. I saw your little lace number and all thoughts of the card were out. Why? You don't think I'm going to let you open it do you?"
