Trixie had finally left DJ in the afternoon. She needed to get home, shower, even if she technically had one at DJ's house although she was not alone in that shower, she needed to change and speak with her brother. Not to mention Trixie was still a tad hungover from the night before. Also the other reason Trixie left, was because she did not want DJ's parents coming in to find her corrupting their son. Trixie had a feeling both sex and playing hooky might be very new to DJ. Despite his one encounter with the other woman Trixie learned about. A surge of jealousy ran through her, but as long as Sloane kept her hands off DJ from now on, there would not be a problem.
Trixie waited for her brother to get home. In the mean time she made small talk with Nate, whom she had met off campus for lunch. Her and DJ. Then she talked with her grandmother, whom in her granny voice just said, "You seem to be glowing my dear. I want to meet the young man you makes you smile now. Do you love this man?" The question made Trixie nervous. Did she love DJ? She felt deeply for him.
Trixie just smiled at her grandmother and simple said, "Maybe one day." It was then Jay walked in and Trixie beckoned him to follow. She sighed and crossed her arms and looked at her brother, "Are you done? With the fighting and the hating."
Jay just smirked, "if you want that monkey, then fine. But I do not have to like him. Although he does have a good right hook." Jay said still feeling the bruises. "Look sister, if he treats you good and does not hurt you, then I will back off....but one tear and I will not hesitate to drop him." That was all Jay said before he left.
It was better then nothing, but not what Trixie really cared for. She still had a small briuse on her face from where Jay hit her. He should apologize, but Trixie knew he would not. To apologize would mean Jay was like their dad and that was not happening. Trixie decided she needed to visit the gym. To deal with her emotions. She changed into a tight top, short shorts and sneakers. Her toned stomach and belly button ring were showing very well.
Trixie drove to the gym and found a spot where she stretched. She was not made or angry, but frustrated over her grandmothers question about love. It made her nervous. Trixie did not like the idea of being in love, or loving any man, it made her want to dump DJ and flee, so for now she had to convince herself it was not love, besides love was rare within two weeks....right? Trixie decided to take her frustrations out on a kickboxing punching bag, that looked like a man. Trixie wailed with fists and kicked the bag as hard as she could. When she was done her body glistened with sweat and her breathing labored so much she did not even know someone had approached her.

The gym was the one place where Nolan could get out of his head and just focus on what he was doing. He hadn't been keeping up with his workout regimen as well lately, partly because he was still slightly hindered from his butt-wound, partly because he had been mentally distracted by a certain girl who seemed to have invaded his brain. Still, he could do some lifting and a few other exercises before his cheek started getting too sore.
He really wished his brother had answered the phone. What Nolan had most hoped to do was throw a few balls and work some timing issues he had with a few routes, but sadly his brother was busy. His only other options were his teammates, but lately he had been getting sick of hearing about other peoples' opinions of Sloane. Nolan still wasn't sure where the pair sat. She had taken his ring, but left the jacket, and he hadn't seen her since that steamy night.
He finished his reps and sat up from the weight bench, and the old muscle shirt he wore peeled off the vinyl bench cover. He was soaked in sweat, and his butt was starting to get tired. It seemed as good a time as any to call it quits. He wiped down the bench then grabbed his towel, heading for the locker room.
He passed by another room where he heard a lot of aggressive noises in a feminine tone, and he couldn't help but look in as he passed. He was surprised to find Trixie Michaels, a cheerleader, wailing away on a heavy bag. She seemed quite worked up. Nolan had heard she was with DJ now, and though he didn't know for sure, the rumors sounded pretty reliable. He entered the doorway, and waited for a lull in the action. Finally, the girl relented a bit, and Nolan stepped further into the room.
“Hey Trixie. Uh, are you okay?”

Trixie drank almost her entire water bottle down when she heard the voice. Nolan. She would recognize his voice. He did go to Silver afterall and was a jock, so of course she knew him. Trixie slowly turned around to face Nolan and set her water bottle down. Of course she let her eyes wonder for a moment. Nolan did have a nice body. It was always good to look, but not touch. Besides if memory served didn't Nolan just give Sloane a ring or a jacket. The rumor mill could sometimes be. Unreliable. Trixie just hoped that meant Sloane was preoocupied with Nolan and would keep away from DJ. If that happened then she had no problems with the girl. Of course this was not the first time Trixie heard of Slone. Her brother Jay had slept with the woman more then once. Either way that did not matter now.
"I am better. One way to deal with crap is to punch it out. I just feel bad for the punching bag. " Trixie said with a small laugh. "Its just crap you know. dealing with crap." Trixie told him. She sighed wondering for a moment if her grand mother was right. It was frustrating. "What about you? Here for a work out, or to clear your head?" Trixie wondered as she picked up her towel and took a few steps closer to Nolan. It beat yelling from across the room.
"So rumor has it you and Sloane are an item? That true?" Trixie figured why beat around the bush. That was not her style. She wanted to know, so she asked. The answer would not affect her either way, but just the fact the woman slept with DJ irked Trix. It made her jealous. Another thing that never happened to Trixie Michaels. She never got jealous until this one guy came into her life.

Crap. That's what it all was, wasn't it? Just crap that everyone had to deal with. And usually that crap involved the opposite sex. At least, Nolan assumed that's what Trixie was referring to since all of his crap right now was that way. He hoped everything between her and DJ was okay.
“Both,” he said, his eyes closing for a moment as he tried to force thoughts of Sloane from his head. “Sometimes a good workout helps me think.” Nolan wiped his forehead with a towel. He was still sweating quite a bit, and though his body was excising all of its impurities, he couldn't say the same thing for his brain. He wasn't sure what was going on between him and Sloane, and sometimes he couldn't help his mind from wandering about what, or who, she might be doing at the moment. He chalked it up to his own insecurities with girls, but it still bothered him.
He smiled at Trixie. She always knew the gossip. It was hard for anyone at Silver, and now Gould, to do anytihng without her hearing about it. “Yeah, we've been, uh, dating.” Nolan wasn't sure how else to put it. There were a lot of other factors to what was going on, but he didn't really feel like explaining the entire situation to Trixie. “Heard about you and Deej, too. How's that going?”
Nolan walked over to a bench and took a seat, waiting for Trixie to follow suit. His legs were tired after a long workout, and since he was taking a moment to talk he figured he'd rest them as well. He peeled his shirt off his sweaty body, hoping it would help him cool down a bit, and slung his towel over the back of his neck. All he could do was force his focus on Trixie, and keep his thoughts off of Sloane. Maybe he needed to keep working out.

Trixie smiled a little. It was a smile that said to her that her jealousy was misplaced now that Sloane was supposedly 'dating' Nolan, but to Nolan the smile was a congratulations sort of smile, "Glad to hear about you and Sloane being more then friendly." She told him. Of course Trixie did not know Sloane very well. She just knew what she heard about the girl from her brother and around school. To be honest from what Trixie heard about Sloane, it seemed the two girls were actually kind of similar, except Sloane had a tendency to be nicer then Trixie did, but then again trixie could not be sure, since rumors were just that...rumors, "I hope things work out for you." Trixie told Nolan, honestly, and with a sweet tone to her voice.
Trixie was normally a bitch, or had some tone in her voice that told people she was better then they were, but not this time. This time Trixie was being genuine. "DJ and I are fine, its my brother and I that are on the outs. My brother seems to think that a little show of male aggression will get me to dump DJ. Sadly my brother is mistaken. I am having fun. why give that up."
Trixie followed Nolan and sat down on the bench. She crossed one leg over the other and eyed Nolan for a moment. Once again giving him a quick once over, "actually let me ask you something., if I may, and I hope this is not to forward, but do you think love at first sight is actually possible, or rather do you think its possible to feel a strong emotional connection with someone you have known all of three weeks?" Trixie was very curious.

“Thanks,” mumbled Nolan. He felt slightly awkward talking with Trixie about Sloane. He didn't really talk to anyone about the girl, save for his brothers and sister. Usually when people heard who he was dating they became very odd and decided it was their place to tell Nolan how much of a heartbreaker Sloane could be. Granted, most of these people didn't even really know her. Nolan wasn't even sure how much he knew about her, but he was sure that a sweet girl like Sloane wouldn't be so cruel. Perhaps other guys just got the wrong impression.
He smiled when Trixie told him her and DJ were doing okay. He was glad for his friend. Trixie was very hot, and while Nolan knew she could be a little bitchy, if anyone could take her it would be the big guy. “Sometimes even the smartest guys can be meatheads. I'm sure your brother will come around. Has he gotten to hang out with Deej much? I don't see how you could dislike the guy.” Trixie's comment about just having fun made Nolan slightly worried, though. He hoped the girl wasn't just playing with his lineman.
Nolan could feel Trixie's eyes on him. It wasn't a new feeling, knowing a girl was checking him out. Half the time girls talked to him, it was probably because of his looks. He knew he was a good looking guy, his worries were more that he could keep a girl entertained for much longer. Luckily things with Sloane were different. She just felt like she fit with him. And it was on this thought that Trixie asked her question. “Strong emotional connection? Yeah, sure.” He knew what that felt like. “But love? I dunno, I guess I've never been in love.” Nolan pondered a moment, then decided not to say anymore. He didn't have any clue, and if he kept talking it would all just be bullshit. “I'm guessing you're talking about DJ?”

Trixie was not playing games. Something about DJ pulled her in, but inside her head she had to be playing games. Cause the only other option was her feelings were on the line and that was not happening. Trixie did not get dumped, she did the dumping before the guy got the chance. Lucky it was not there yet, cause DJ was still surprising her. "My brother is a strong headed ass, you thinks he is always right." Trixie commented to Nolan. "I know he will learn, but my brother can be blind sometimes." She shrugged.
Jay was Jay. Ass that he was, he was her brother. She sighed and looked down a moment. Contemplating what Nolan said. Wonderful...a strong emotional connection after a few weeks. Crap. That just meant what she feared the most. She had grwn attached....even in a short time she had grown attached. which was a good thing, but scared the shit out of Trixie. At least it wasn't love.
"You could say this revolves around that area....more like me just being nosy really." She said trying to cover for herself. "So tell me what brings you here, besides to work out. No one ever comes to the gym to just work out." Trixie said trying to change the subject.
