Appearance: Shelby looks like the quintessential California girl. From her long blonde wavy hair (naturally a dark blonde, but highlighted to a light platinum) to her trendy yet relaxed style. Although naturally relatively pale, Shelby makes sure to spend enough time in the sun to at least have somewhat of a tan. She's a little on the short side, standing at 5'4" and very fit, but she often wears heels that make her seem taller. Whether she is wearing a ruffled blouse and mini skirt, or jeans and a fitted top, its not only trendy but designer. Looking good is very important to Shelby and she always spends a lot of time and works hard on her appearance. She always has to look good.
Personality: Shelby isn't the nicest of girls. Deep down she has a good heart, but she doesn't often show it. Shelby is the freshman protege, preparing to be the next queen bee once the other popular girls graduate. She is the most popular girl in the freshman class and she enjoys bossing others around and making the older girls think she's cool. She tends to be a little insecure on the inside but only because she's constantly trying to prove herself. Juile and David welcomed three more children after Lucas. David comes from a very catholic family and Julie converted to the same religions when she could. David has very strict views and outlook on life. The one thing David cannot stand are homosexuals. He thinks it is a sin and that same sex marriage should forever be banned. Writing Sample: Shelby smiled into her tiny locker mirror and took a moment to fuss with her long blonde hair. Perfect. That's what she needed to be. She shut her locker and headed down the hall towards the locker rooms. She had cheerleading practice, which meant that she needed to be on her feet. Shelby was one of the few freshman that had made the squad so it was really important that she kept in good with the older girls. Shelby didn't always get to hang out with them since she was a mere freshman but she was invited out to the older girls parties more than anyone else and in the end, that was the most important thing. To Shelby it was at least.
Dressed in a pair of Laguna Beach skinny jeans with pink stitching and a fitted See by Chloe logo shirt, Shelby entered the girls locker room, which although had been cleaned still had a slight barnyard smell which made her a little queasy. She didn't really know who and put animals in their locker room but the act had not been cool at all and Shelby was pretty pissed about it. But for now, she was all smiles as she greeted the other girls and headed to her locker to change for practice.
Once she was changed, Shelby headed into the bathroom to give herself one more once over in the mirror before heading outside. Although her hair sometimes got in the way during cheering, she liked to leave it down because she knew it was more attractive looking to the boys who tended to watch their practices. It wasn't uncommon for quite a few to show up and more often than not there were some really cute ones. Shelby hadn't really started dating yet, but she really wanted to.
