Personality: Isaiah is fairly serious though not condemning of clean humor. He is intent on becoming an Episcopalian Priest after college and he behaves as such. He is a good student and a good friend. He is very loyal and he will do his best to help out a friend within reason. Unknown to Isaiah his parents had to get married, because Denise became pregnant. Martin had wanted to become a lawyer, but gave up law school to do the right thing. Martin never says anything about it, but there is a vague dissatisfaction if you look deep in his eyes. Denise would prefer to be the wife of a priest or someone more involved in the church. She has always seen herself as a Pastor’s wife. All his life, Denise has encouraged Isaiah towards the pulpit.
Isaiah loves both his parents, though his love for his father is purer. His mother makes him feel guilty without saying anything and he doesn’t know why. As for his little sister, he loves her but he feels he has to be even more perfect every time she does something wild or irresponsible.
