Character Name: Graham Alderman
Nickname: None
Age: 18
Birthday: Feb 3rd
Place of birth: Inglewood, California
School: Silver
Grade: Senior
Appearance: The first thing most people notice about Graham is that he's a member of the emo subculture. He has asymmetrical the proper asymmetrical haircut and snake bites. Likewise, his clothing tends towards skinny jeans, white belts, tight t-shirts and hoodies. He has a fragile, whistful look about him, never scowling or frowning but always looking slightly sad.
At 5'11, he's just above average height, and his BMI is right in the normal range. In fact, if he didn't dye his hair black it also would be a very normal shade of brown. The only thing that really sticks out (aside from his subculture) are his brilliant blue eyes. He inherited them from his father, and shares them with his sister Caitlin. His father says they're the same blue as his mother, and jokingly refers to them as "Aaron Eyes", after his mother's maiden name.
Personality: Graham is a people pleaser at heart. He wants to make sure that everyone else is happy, at the expense of his own needs. The easiest way to hurt him is to tell him he is ineffective at this and that your unhappiness is somehow his fault. He already feels that all unhappiness is his fault and he must do something about it, so tell him that this arrogance is true and he'll berate himself ceaselessly until he figures out how to improve your mood.
Of course, he's also a socially awkward introvert, which makes trying to please people a bit on the difficult side, but he attempts to go outside his comfort zone to help others as he will make himself literally sick with guilt if he fails to take action when someone is clearly upset. He tends to make himself sick also if any action of his own is directly related to someone being upset.
He's very idealistic and wishes for utopia, but he isn't confrontational about his ideals. Rather, because his greatest wish is for everyone to get along and be happy, he'll avoid correcting other people's assumptions or standing up to them. In his mind, causing an argument, even if it is in his best interests or clears up a misconception, wouldn't be nice because it would cause unpleasant feelings, and being nice and avoiding unpleasantness is the greatest good.

Family Background and History: Franklin and Judith Alderman are that couple that everyone was betting would be divorced in a month. Franklin was loud and gregarious and always up to something; Judith was meek and quiet and preferred to fade into the background. Franklin was Anglican, and Judith was determinedly Atheist. Franklin could hardly handle his finances, spending money as soon as he got his paycheck; Judith could have happily lived in a house with no decorations, slept on the floor and eaten ramen the rest of her life. Yet somehow, they managed to make things work. They happily welcomed their first child into the world after roughly two years of marriage, and three years later they welcomed not one, but three new additions to the family: Palmer, Caitlin and Regan.
The Aldermans do everything as a family. Frank and Judith never considered inviting other people along to anything, and as the children were all close they never much wanted other playmates. Perhaps it was due to this clannishness that they've all settled into the same subculture. It isn't that they don't have any of their own friends, but when it comes right down to it they could all probably survive with only one another.
Graham first picked up the trumpet when he was in 4th grade, and there's been no looking back. He couldn't wait to be part of the school marching band, which he thinks is the height of cool. And when fellow marching band geek and scene queen Cera Lamprey agreed to be his girlfriend in 11th grade, he couldn't have been happier. His attempt at forming a ska band with fellow band geeks failed miserably, but that's okay! He's dating the coolest and prettiest girl in the school (in his opinion), and life is good.
Recently, Frank has requested that Judith attend Marital Counseling with him. The children hope this doesn't mean anything too bad, but the sudden chilly relationship between their parents has them nervous.
Class Schedule: 1st Government
2nd Band
3rd Statistics
4th English
5th Env. Sci/Geology
6th Drama
Attendance Length: Since Freshman year
After School Activities: He's in the marching band!
Likes: Trumpet, Cera, ska and other upbeat music, skinny jeans, making people smile, daydreaming, doodling stick people on his notes, stargazing
Dislikes: Being yelled at, being disliked, unhappy people, metal and hard rock, confrontation, litter, arguments (and debates), being forced to face uncomfortable situations
Other Information: (no, Dry is really not done with her chara kick yet)
Face Claim: Alex Evans
Player: Dryope
Writing Sample: Graham hadn't expected her back so soon, and for all his desire to be reunited he hadn't wished for it to be like this, in the middle of battle. Still, he could easily forget the destruction surrounding them when she threw herself at him. He tangled his hands in her long blonde hair, crushing his lips against hers. She was so soft and tiny, it was difficult to imagine she was really a soldier and an apprentice of Jon's; she was a vampire, a predator, but she was also his. He had doubted this fact when she had vanished, had wondered if their relationship meant so little to her. But she was back, and any doubt he had felt lifted the moment his arms wrapped around her.
When they finally pulled away he let his hands caress her cheeks, her lips, her neck as he fell into her eyes.
"You're really back." He whispered when he'd finally caught his breath again. He wished he could whisk her away somewhere right this minute but of course that would have to wait until after the battle. "God, I've missed you. Jon is a wonderful leader but he's not nearly as kissable."
