Ana missed school the day before due to her son being sick and not being able to go to day care. Luckily today Alek was doing much better. He had no fever and he slept through the night for once, but that did not stop him from spitting up all over her. Ana had to change before she got to school. So Ana had to call a sitter because she could not afford to miss another day. The sitter was hard to fins because it was last minute. Then her car would not start so the sitter had to give Ana a ride to school. Ana had told Nero to go home and spend time at his house. She loved having him around but felt like she was monopolizing his time.
Ana finally made it to school on time. Which was surprising. The day was looking up until she fell going up the stairs and her papers went every where. She had to pick them all up and avoid getting stepped on. Then she realized she was missing part of her homework. Thank god the class was not until after lunch so she could work on it then. Ana finally gathered her things and headed to her locker. When she made it there she opened the locker and placed her book bag on the floor.
Ana switched out her books and bent down to retrieve ones from her book bag to put in her locker and vice versa. As if something was out to get her, something happened. As Anna stood up she hit her head on the top of her locker. Which hurt like hell. So Ana fell to her knees holding her head. There was no blood, but it hurt. Ana sighed and cursed in Russian. She rubbed her head, "Could things get any worse?" She finally said in English, her Russian accent coming out thick. This day sucked so far.

Waking up to the blaring alarm clock, Haden slapped it down to the padded floor. Getting up, he heard rustling from beside him and movements. His first thought was that he had brought back an anonymous girl from the club from last night. Rubbing his face, he turned around and sure enough, a bare back peeked out from under the sheets. "Shit..." He remarked before standing to his full height and looked around for the girl's clothes.
When he got them all, he went to wake the girl up and handed the clothes to her. "You have to get out of here." He said in a gruff tone. Crossing the room to his window, he opened it and gestured to the girl who was scrambling to get into what little clothes she had with her. "There are stairs leading down from here." He waited for her to finish changing and he helped her out of the window. The girl pulled up for a kiss but Haden shook his head. The girl knew what she was getting into the night before. No use for him to explain himself.
The girl shrugged and went down the stairs with her heels in her hands. Once she was gone, Haden shook his head before going to the bathroom to get ready for school.
--
Haden was on the way to his locker when a slew of Russian curses filled his ears. Frowning, he backtracked and found himself looking at a pretty girl with dark brown locks. Raising one eyebrow, he turned to help the girl. With what little Russian he knew, he asked if the girl was alright.
Her English was not so bad when she spoke it and he liked the accent it came with. With a smile, he held his hand out like the gentleman he was raised to be. "Don't worry, I won't bite."

Ana looked up when she heard a voice. She had honestly not expected anyone to offer to help her up, but she was thankful someone did. Ana smiled as she took the handsome guys hand. "Thank you, but tis not you biting me I am worried about right now. The locker is out make my head hurt." Ana said as she rubbed the top of her head a little. The pain was dulling down thankfully.
"I am Ana...tis nice to see you...or meet you..." Ana still had issues with proper sentences, especially when she was upset. However, things were calming down hopefully, "Forgive my Russian just ago, but I was not happy. Today is not my day." She said with a small laugh, "Hopefully it gets better." She told him. Ana took a breath as she regained her composure finally. She had been floundering for a moment because she was still flustered over her horrible day.
"Do you go to this school or Silver?" Probably a stupid question since they seemed to be going to the same school and there was no signs of separating. "I am suppose to go to Silver, but I feel like Gould student now." She said with a smile to the guy as she finally closed her locker and finished getting her books and putting them in her book bag.

With a laugh, Haden stepped back slightly to give the girl some space. When she rubbed her head, Haden helped her a little. "It's going to die down soon. The pain I mean." He let his hand drop to his side and regarded her silently. She was incredibly beautiful, exotic-looking. And she was Russian. Haden would have snapped her up right then if not for the fact that he had been thinking way too much about the girl he watched that Cary Grant movie with. Lana, her name was.
And the girl from this morning had been a product of way too many drinks. He hoped the girl didn't go to either Silver or Gould because if she did, all chances of being with Lana again would definitely fly out the window. Haden wasn't exactly sure why he was putting in too much energy and time in wanting just one girl. He didn't know if Lana even liked him or not.
The girl was introducing herself and Haden looked up with a dazed expression on his face, nodding. "Nice to meet you too. I'm Haden. And about your Russian, it's okay. I'm pro cursing." He grinned charmingly. What's the use of depriving someone of the simple pleasures in life?
When she revealed that she was a Silver student, Haden nodded respectfully. Although he was an athlete, he didn't really care much about the rivalry his school had with Silver. In fact, he liked Silver as much as Gould if only for the girls.
"Well, on behalf of the school, Gould welcomes you with open arms." He spread his arms wide and grinned.

"Bolshoe spasibo...I mean thank you." Ana said as Haden helped rub her head a little. People really were nice in America. This was a lovely country. Ana pushed some hair back from her face as Haden introduced himself. "Please meet you." She told him in her fabulous broken English. When he opened his arms she was not sure if she should hug him or not. Was that customary in America. She did not want to be rude. "Is everyone always like this...I see so many people hug every day...its like that show my little sister likes to watch...house full or something..she likes the reruns that are always on."
Ana did walk into the hug. Even if he was not expecting it. After all how was she suppose to know what he was expecting or not. She hugged him back them took a step back. "So nice here." She said to him. Ana smiled at him. Ana wondered where Nero was for a moment, but she was glad she met another nice guy. This was what the third one. This really was a good country. Ana loved living here.
"To be honest I seem to only be meeting Gould Students since I came here, except maybe one. Tell me about you...do you know what fun there is to have around here...I have only been in California since August. I am still getting use to it. Way different then Russia." Although thats not where she moved from, but it was the truth. She had lived in America for five years and it was still a little confusing. "I have been looking for places to go to have fun, to meet people too." Ana could always use more friends. Of course she would have to get a sitter for Alek and her siblings, but that was not too hard.

"Ne za chto, Ana." Haden bowed his head slightly with a smile. When asked about the culture, Haden shrugged and smiled as Ana walked into his hug. He took the opportunity to slide his hand down her back just slightly, not enough to make her notice or uncomfortable. When she stepped back, he grinned that boyish grin once more. "I only hug the beautiful people. And I don't know about the house full show." He thought it sounded like a show with a house full of sorority girls or something.
"I think the reason you seem to only be meeting Gould students is because this is Gould. I don't think that many Silver students want to be here more than they have to be," Haden joked. Honestly, he hadn't met that many Silver students either. Was Lana a Silver student? He couldn't even remember. Her eyes were so mesmerizing...
She was still talking and Haden had space out once more, to think about that Lana chick again. What was wrong with him? Here was an incredibly beautiful girl standing in front of him and talking to him and he was thinking about another girl? Shaking his head, he tried to pay attention, hearing the word fun and places.
"Oh...well, if you'd like I could bring you around town after school," Haden said with a shrug to show that it wasn't a big deal to him. "There are a few places down the pier that's pretty good to meet people. Why don't you walk up with me to my locker...we might bump into some of my friends and I could introduce you to some of them?"

Ana smiled as Haden spoke. She was very impressed, "You speak..." Ana just nodded her head, "Very good." Ana would compliment anyone who could at least speak one word in another language because it was very hard to learn. Okay maybe one word was not hard, but just the effort was and Ana was very impressed when people did that. For her it was hard learning to speak English and she still had to work on it.
She did not even notice that Haden spaced out as they were speaking. It seemed as if he was paying attention. However, had Ana known she would have politely asked if everything was okay. She did like to lend a listening ear at times. She tried to be as helpful as she could, "You may be right about why I only meet Gould students. But either way I just enjoy meeting new people." It was true. One thing Ana loved was meeting new people. You always learn something new about people every day. "Please, you will help me. Thank you. Yes, lets walk to your locker. I would Love to meet some people you know..." Ana was always very friendly. Of course that also came with her reformed party girl life style.
