Lucas was having a hard time keeping his life a secret. It was hard when you had a father who was a jackass and prejudiced against the very thing you were. Of course Lucas was not going to say a word. He was the man of the house besides his dad. Well there was his brother, but his brother could not take care of the family. he was too young and crap and too skinny. Lucas had to do it all> he did the house work, the yard work, because Lucas had the muscle to do so. It might be mean to his younger brother, but his brother should consider himself lucky.
Lucas drove himself to school. The one place he could get away. yet he still had to hide. Of course there were hiding spots where he and Russ had snuck off too, but still. It was a very open school, but Lucas just could not be open. So he pretended to think gay people were trash. yet it was far from the truth. Lucas got out and gt the welcome a king always got. Ladies on each arm leading him to his locker, but they were not what he wanted. what could he do? if he came out he was sure to be kicked out, so for now Lucas made a nice bed in his nice closet. He went to his locker and spun it open as he got his book. "What a wonderful day right?" Lucas said as he tried to act normal.
