It had been a while since he had taken to travelling by any other means but by car, but he had decided to try and skate board to school. Like he had when he had first arrived at the school, at the beginning of the year. The limo driver was to be at his beck and call for a few more weeks, he was hoping to get clearance sooner, but he had been told that until the stitches were out it would be best not to.
So here he was standing outside his favourite coffee stand a pipping hot coffee in his hand, he still had an hour to make a trip that normally took ten minutes from where he was right now. Which meant he had plenty of time to relax and enjoy his coffee, it was an added bonus that there were so few people out on the board walks at that moment. That he could skateboard all the way in without being accosted, so long as you knew the back roads around the area it was a good thing. Jade's idea of a relaxing morning would have been time with Jeremy, but he hadn't seen his boyfriend since lunch the day before. It was quite annoying mainly because they were both very busy at the moment, of course it had been a fleeting glance as he was rushing past some room. But he had seen him, that was what counted after all.
But this was about enjoying his coffee, and going old school, in travelling back to school. Sadly he couldn't really drink and board at the same time at that moment, well he could but he could end up scolding himself. So he was sat at one of the many tables outside of the coffee bar.

Jeremy awoke early to take a jog down the beach. The morning air was crisp but nice and much better than the cloudy rains that had been happening recently.
The run on the beach was quiet with the exception of the gulls doing their call. This amused Jeremy, when he was little he thought the birds were laughing at something. Why not? They could see things better than people could. He stopped for a moment to run through the waves. Yeah he'd end up drenched but it was well worth it. Yes he looked like a crazed loonatic but he didn't care!! He had a good lead in a classic show, a job that he loved and most of all a wonderful guy in his life. He headed home and showered and grabbed a brown sugar cinnamon Pop Tart for a quick meal.
Jumping into his Impailer he drove till he found the coffee shop that Jade had introduced him to a few weeks earlier. He found a spot near the door a pulled in and who should he see sitting there, looking ever so innocent? He grinned.
He went over to the table, "Hey little boy wanna see my salted nut roll?"

Jade looked up at Jeremy with a smile on his face, "Hey you, your a sight for sore eyes." Jade said to him with a smile on his face. "A salted nut roll sounds like an offer I can't refuse." Jade said with a chuckle. "Have a seat we kind of need to go over this weekend, as you might have heard my parents decided to throw a bash for the school at our place this sunday." Jade said to him. "If we go camping this weekend, I need to be back in town sunday before lunch." Jade said grimmacing with the annoyance that his parents skipping town for their main event was causing him.
To say that Jade was more than a little mythed at his parents, talk about springing the mother of all surprises on him, a party was fine, they had already ordered the auction items. The thing was though that they would be arriving all bloody week.
"My parents decided that this week of all weeks would be a good time, to go to Wellington for three weeks on a holiday. Which is all well and good but it leaves me and I do mean me, as they don't really trust Alex enough to help out with the organising the party. To finalize everything from the auctioneer, to making sure everyone at school who is on the list is there, and invite as many people who aren't on the list to the party..." Jade said shaking his head. "Thus why I have the strongest urge to drink myself into oblivion, I was on the phone until near on midnight with suppliers and the caterers for the event." Jade growled.
"Sorry you didn't come here to listen to my grievances, so how have you been? I've missed seeing you properly for the last few days." Jade said to him with a bright smile, sitting back to give his boyfriend some open space.

Jeremy sat next to his boyfriend. The news that followed "we need to talk" could never be good and sure enough it wasn't. Sure it could have been worse but it sort of put a damper on the weekend plans. "I did hear about that, really they should have checked with us first." Jeremy spoke in a half kidding tone. "Its ok if we can't go camping, anytime spent with you is well worth it." He reached over and held Jade's hand. "After all we can still do Disney on Saturday and if I have to, I'll kidnap you on Friday and have you stay with me."
He listened patiently to Jade carry on about what his folks had done. "What I don't get is why they left all this to you? I mean sure they want you to follow in the family business but didn't they think you need time for home work and having a life as well?" he shook his head.
"I've been missing you like something terrible." Which was the truth. "I'm still looking forward to this weekend no matter what we do." That was when the lightbulb went off in Jeremy's head. "What if I help you with what I can this weekend?"

Jade gave him a grin, "This my dear boyfriend, is what we call a test. My parents, well my father wants to see how I handle something like this. Without having them to fall back on, I have full access to the family accounts for the weekend. Its to make sure that I can pay out for anything that may be needed on top of it all." Jade said to him. "Everything is ordered, believe it or not I just need to make sure that there is someone at the house to sign for it." Jade said to him. "It makes me a little nervous that everything is on me, but its a challenge that I'm looking forward to." Jade said to him.
"The only thing I really don't like, is that this takes away from the time I'm going to be free to spend with you this weekend. I mean sure I can do Disney, and I can do friday after school. But what I was looking forward to was a camp out somewhere." Jade told him with a smile. "I'll try to make it up to you at some point, not sure how but I'll work it out." Jade said to him.
When he offered to help, Jade frowned this had not been what he had wanted to do, but he didn't want wreck his boyfriends weekend any more than the change of plans already had.
"I'm sure I can handle this, but if I need any help your be at the top of the list of people I call. Don't think that Alex will get out of pulling his weight for this do." Jade said to him with a look that clearly said his brother was in for some hard work. "If you know someone who can sit a dog, that might help though, I want my pup out of the way of the guests, and still have a bedroom left when the night is over." Jade said to him knowing full well how destructive his dog could be if left locked in a room. "And the sitter can't be you, your my plus one and significant other for sunday night." Jade said with a grin. "All you have to do is actually look yourself and be gorgeous." Jade added.
