Otep sat in her chair in the back of the classroom feeling like she was about ready to just get up and excuse herself to the bathroom. The bell was taking much too long. Minutes passed. 10... 15... *For the love of God can time go any slower?* she thought to herself. Then it finally rang. She stopped at her locker and threw some things in there besides her journal and then texted Jem. *Hey cute thing... How's about lunch??*
Jem was dropping things off at her own locker. Her day had been interesting thus far. Nothing quite as bizarre as her morning conversation with the Gothic girl had occurred. But that alone had given her quite an amount of amusement to get her through the long day. She was shaking her head when she heard the phone beeping. She pulled it out of her bag and looked at the text. **Hey, see you in five** she sent back.
Otep got that, read it, and leaned against her locker awaiting her fiancee. She was wearing a pair of black and white checkered pants with a black and white Nirvana shirt and a pair of black and white converses. Ok so she coordinated. She her her hair down and only a little eyeliner on.
Jemima tossed her bag over her shoulder and slammed her locker shut. She headed down the hall, toward Otep's locker. She hadn't specified to met her anywhere else. So, that's where she headed. In her jeans, flip flops and "You'll Never Get This Brunette." t-shirt.
It had been the first time Otep saw Jem all day - she had arrived to school late due to a certain alarm clock NOT waking her up. She looked over and saw Jem and smiled at her. "Hey!" she smiled as she went over and hugged her, giving her a gentle peck. "Nice... shirt." she said. "Cept the problem with it is... I HAVE this brunette." she smiled.
Jem smiled and grinned. "Yes, that you do. But this could very well be a message to everyone else." she said as if that was the obvious reason behind the shirt.
Otep grinned at that and nodded. "Very true." she said. "So... what's on the lunch agenda, m'lady?"
Jem shrugged. "Don't know. Hadn't really planned on lunch to be honest. I had thought about trying to use that time to do some studying." And some extra credit, but she didn't tell Otep that.
Otep lifted a brow. This is good. She knew Jem wanted to pass her classes and she broke into a smile. "Ok... well do you want help?" she asked her.
She could be stubborn when she wanted to be. She sometimes didn't like to ask for help or to accept it when it was offered to her. But she knew Otep was an intelligent girl. More so than many people probably gave her credit for. "Sure, it couldn't do any harm." she smirked.
Otep smiled at her and nodded. "Ok then let's hit the books, then." she said.
"Ok, let's do that. As long as you promise to help and not distract." she teased.
Otep laughed at that and gasped as if she were flabbergasted. "Who!? ME!?" she gasped again. "NEVER!"
"Yeah..suuure." Jem rolled her eyes teasingly and laughed a bit more. "Whatever."
Otep winked at her and playfully tapped her rear. "Seriously!" she joked.
