There was a possibility, a very, very, very miniscule possibility, but still one that Evan had to consider, that there was such a thing as too much food, particularly of the candy variety. He was in pain, in great pain. Well, maybe not great pain, but his stomach had definitely seen better days, given the way it was aching now. He wondered what could have caused it, and food was the only thing he could think of. So he tried to remember everything that he had consumed so far. There was the three pop tarts (two chocolate, one strawberry) and half a gallon of chocolate mik for breakfast, his morning snack of a handful of peanut butter M&Ms while he got dressed, his morning tea of a Butterfinger in his car on the way to school, the other Butterfinger he ate with Silver, and some more M&Ms in class. Actually, he didn’t eat too much, Evan decided, so it couldn’t possibly be because of that. Maybe if he ate lunch, he would feel better. Yeah, that was it. So, as soon as the bell rung, he rushed straight for one of his favourite places at the school.
Barging past the Durnhams on his way in (he thought one was enough, but they had to double on him), he was close to the front of the line, and when the sight of all the food made his tummy soreness fade somewhat, he took that for meaning he was right. Of course he was, he was smart like that.
Grabbing enough sloppy joes for at least three people, and enough coke to help four people wash it down, he made his way excitedly to a nearby, empty table. He loved him some sloppy joes. He loved all food really, he wouldn’t be biased. Plonking himself down, he wasted no time in getting stuck into his first bite. And as soon as he swallowed, his face contorted in pain as he dropped his fork, clutching at his stomach. “Oh that is not good.” he grumbled, before reluctantly pushing his tray away. He still really wanted to eat, but he figured he shouldn’t. He heard someone approached, and he managed to sit up straight once more. “Want some sloppy joes? They’re really good. I just can’t eat anymore.”

"You're kidding...right?" Brittany asked as she looked at her boyfriend sideways. "I mean not about the sharing with me fact because I know I'm one of the few people you'll share with," she teased, "but about the being full part." She sat down and pulled the tray closer to her and grabbed one of them and took a bite. She'd been on her way to the lunch line when she'd seen Evan anyway, so had figured she'd stop by first. Lucky she had--now she didn't have to buy lunch, although she was still concerned for Evan's lack of eating, after all, it wasn't like him.
Brittany's eating habits that day had been the quite opposite actually. Perpetually late, she'd skipped breakfast, and in the hurry she was, she'd forgotten to bring any snacks with her. So really, she hadn't eaten all day and as much as she was concerned for Evan's sanity over not eating all the food in front of him, she wasn't about to complain about him offering it up to him.
"So, really, what's wrong?" she asked, as she chewed. She grabbed one of the cokes and sucked some of it down, eating like a wild woman. "Sorry, this is my first meal today," she admitted, wolfing down some more of the sloppy joe. Some of the sauce got on her left cheek but she didn't notice and kept on eating. "So, how's your day been so far? Did you come up with anymore torturing Aly ideas?" she asked between mouthfuls. She'd already finished one of the sandwiches and grabbed the next as if she had no intention of slowing down any time soon. It really was amazing how thin she was given the amount of junk she ate all the time.

“You’re the only person I’ll always share with.” Evan corrected, trying his best to look serious as he did. “I won’t even share with Patch some of the time. Cause you see,” he continued to elaborate for her benefit, “I figure that if I share with you, then you’ll kiss me, so it’s like a win-win situation. Especially for you, cause that means you get two cool things, food and me!” Laughing, he said nothing else while she sat down, making a grab for his tray. She was right to be surprised, it was weird for him to be full. But he couldn’t concentrate on that now, he had to make sure he got what he was owed. That’s one. Kiss, I mean.” he explained when she looked at him, “One bite, so that’s one kiss. And I’ll be collecting when you’re done.”
He shook his head briefly when she asked what was wrong. “Nothing, really. I just think I might have eaten one too many chocolate bars. I know, I know, sounds impossible.” he grinned. “But something’s making my tummy hurt, you might need to kiss it better later. Actually, a lot of me is hurting.” he teased lightly.
“Your first meal? Seriously? Babe, you’re gonna waste away! Go ahead, eat it all, you need to it. Besides, I like meat on my woman.” he laughed. He let her get a few more mouthfuls down in peace until she started talking again. “It’s been alright. Class was boring. I did draw something cool in second period though, give me a sec.” He rummaged through his various pockets, pulling out a couple of playing cars, some loose change, the plastic stick from a lollypop and a button, putting them all on the table, until he found what he was looking for. He grabbed the crumpled up piece of paper, unfolding it before holding it out to her. “See, it’s a bear, a grizzly, I meant it to be, playing a electric guitar. Yeah, class was boring.” he laughed, before pushing the paper towards her side of the table. “You can have that. See, you can’t say I don’t ever give you anything.”
Evan was about to answer her question, but the sauce on her cheek was really, really distracting. So with a grin he reached over and quickly licked it from her skin. “You had sauce on you.” he told her. “See, I’m your boyfriend, it’s my right to lick sloppy joe leftovers from your face. This way we both get to enjoy lunch!” He watched her go for the second one, impressed at her speed. That’s his girl.
“No, no more ideas. Not yet anyway. But I’m gonna come up with something soon.” he told Brittany confidently. “Patch is missing out on the soccer game today, and he’s majorly bummed out about that. Plus he’s not playing for the rest of the semester, so it’s not looking good for him, to play in college, and that’s what he really wanted to do. So it really sucks for him. I mean, I would clean the locker rooms for the rest of the year if it got Patch back to playing. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to get him back on the team, but I can’t think of anything yet. So for now, I’m going to get Aly and Jasper back really bad. Like, really, really bad.” He had been serious long enough, and serious really didn’t suit him. So he laughed as he grabbed for a bottle of coke. “And it would be wicked cool to get pay back for Patch.”
He watched her eat, taking another sip. “If you want one, I think I’ve got a couple of candy bars at my locker. And some peanut butter M&Ms. Got them special for my lady.” Evan grinned. She sure was getting through those sloppy joes. He wondered if it was normal to think the sight of Brittany wolfing them down was sexy. Ah, who cares, normal was boring.
“So what about you beautiful? How has your day been so far? Were you able to stop daydreaming about me for long enough to be able to concentrate on your classes?”

"Aw, poor Patch...I bet he's jealous," Brittany teased. She honestly thought that the boys shared pretty much everything, except her of course, which was all fine since Patch wasn't exactly fond of girls. "Ah well that makes sense then," she said. "Patch can't offer that...it would go along with that physical human contact thing that he is so against," she smirked. She really didn't understand how Patch was so asexual. It was still a mystery to her.
"You...too many chocolate bars? I'm still not buying that," Brittany said, still working on wolfing down her meal. Since Evan wouldn't be eating it, she was determined to eat it all, only she wasn't sure she could. She had a big appetite for a girl but she knew that it didn't exactly match Evan's. She inhaled some of the soda though to wash it down before continuing on the sandwiches. "Yeah, I know," Brittany agreed about this being her first meal. "But you know how late I always am...I didn't have time to eat and I forgot snacks," she admitted. She knew she probably should have kept some in her locker just in case, but she didn't exactly trust her locker partner not to eat him. Sure, the guy was a friend of Evan's, but that was just it, he was a friend of Evan's and she didn't trust any of Evan's friends not to steal some snacks. After all, she'd steal them if Mike left them around.
"Yeah, I got nothing either. Well...I have one thing," she admitted. "So you know that girl Haley? She's like a cheerleader as Silver and she's dating that uber nerd guy, Cameron?" she asked. "Well, she's a friend of Aly's and I guess she's throwing this party this week and Aly and a bunch of people are going to be staying over there for an after party or something. So....anyway, its not much, but I was thinking may like in her overnight bag, I could stick some pinkies," she said. "You know the pinkies...the dead mice I buy for our snakes since I can't feed them the live ones like you do," she said. Brittany couldn't watch the snakes eat the live mice. She just ended up wanting to keep them as pets as well. "I just figured that it might freak her out to find some dead mice in her bag," she shrugged. Juvenile, yes--simple, yes--effective, also probably a yes. Brittany's pranks tended to not be as complicated as some of the other's ideas but she liked the simplicity of her pranks.
"Peanut butter M&M's...awesome. And you got me desert...best boyfriend EVER," she grinned. "My day's been boring until now," she said with a shrug. "I still am having a hard time believing that you ate too much," she admitted. "Are you sure you don't want some?" she asked, holding up a sandwich.

“Exactly!” Evan grinned brightly, pleased that Brittany got his point, until he realised another important, well he thought it was important, point to make. “I mean, even if he wasn’t so against kissing and touching and stuff, I wouldn’t go for it of course.” he smirked. “He would want to kiss me of course, I mean, I’m a very attractive man, but nope, I’m a one woman guy.” he chuckled, reaching over the table yet again to sneak in another kiss. All that trouble with Syn and Hannah was (hopefully!!!) behind them now, and he was still over-happy about that, and glad she was still dating him. Cause that was awesome. “And besides, if he did go for girls, he would totally give me competition for you. You’re only the hottest girl in the school after all. And you’ve got a pizza named after you. So what if I did the naming, that’s still pretty cool.”
He didn’t blame her for not buying his explanation, he didn’t completely either. Up until now he had been basically certain that there was no such thing as too much when used in relation to chocolate. But his tummy was definitely hurting, and there had to be a reason for it. Maybe he was coming down with something, getting sick, maybe. That meant he should be eating more, right? To fight it? Yeah, that sounded reasonable enough.
“There is no such thing as no time to eat! You should know that by now babe!” Evan snickered, not doing a very good job of sounding offended. “I’m usually late too, cause I need by beauty sleep, but I always make sure I eat. To be healthy and all, you know? Gotta keep my hot bod in perfect condition for you. Yeah, you can thank me later.” he laughed. “Well, you know, you can always come find and bug me if you get hungry, you know me, I always have food on me. Or you can help yourself to anything in my locker. Always have goodies there.”
Though she was a cheerleader and he was dating a cheerleader, two kinds of people Evan didn’t normally socialise with, he knew who Cam and Haley were. “It’s a shame, Cam seems alright too, don’t know why he would date a cheerleader. I mean...” he shuddered at this, as though it was the worst thing imaginable. It wasn’t the worst, he supposed, but it had to be up there. “He just must really wanna be popular or something.”
As Brittany outlined her plan, he started at her, his mouth wide open. And then she finished, and he kept staring. And then she started to stare back. After about ten more seconds, Evan finally realised he was meant to react. So he picked his jaw up off the table, gave a laugh and kissed her again, loudly and sloppily. “See, I’m dating the smartest girl in the school. That’s an awesome idea Brit! She would freak for sure!” He was practically jumping around where he sat, he was that excited about the idea. He could almost imagine the look on her face when she found them. It would be hysterical, if only he could witness it. “If you want, I can get you some of the other mice to put in there too. You know, the live mice. But, I dunno, would she get to them before they can run free? Cause it’ll be awesome if we could get her to accidently free them in Haley’s house, but I don’t want them to get caught by Aly. They don’t deserve that.” Sure, they would be eating by snakes anyway, but that was a far less cruel fate than falling into the cheerleader’s hands.
“Speaking of snakes, you gotta come over to my house sometime for a visit.” Evan told her, trying very hard to keep a smile off his lips, but the way they kept twitching was a dead giveaway. “Play with the snake. And then when you’re done, maybe you could play with Bonnie and Clyde too.” He almost snorted at her reaction, trying hard to settle his laughter down. “I’m kidding babe, just kidding. But not really.” he teased.
“Well, I don’t know if...yeah, you’re right, I am the best boyfriend ever.” he joked. “But well, I’ve gotta keep up with my girl now. I do love you, you know.” It still felt funny, and odd, and awesome, to say that to Brittany. And he couldn’t stop smiling at the implication he livened up her day. He eyed off the offered sandwich hesitantly before giving in. “Alright, you talked me into it. Just a bite.” He reached over, not bothering to take it from her hands, just biting a huge chunk out of it. He chewed slowly at first before deciding it was all good. Really good. And his stomach wasn’t hurting as much anymore. Sweet! And so, because he could, he took another bite, then another, until there was half a sandwich left in Brit’s hands. “That’s enough.” he grinned as he pulled away. “All yours now. I’ll pig out on chocolate with you afterwards.”
Having another sip to wash down the rather small lunch, he idly spun the bottle’s lid around on the table. “But seriously, you've gotta come over and visit, it feels like it’s been ages since we’ve just hung out. I mean, I know it hasn’t,” he chuckled, just a little reluctant to mention that last time, cause it just so happened to fall on the day of the bowling incident. “I mean, you almost can’t see my black eyes anymore. But you can still kiss ‘em better if you want. Or we could hang out at your house, and annoy Aly be being all kissy kissy in front of her room.”
