Catalina was glad that Quenten did not want to hang out tonight. She was ready for time by herself, she needed it to stay sane and not lose her mind. She grabbed her purse and headed for the mall, the place she did not go to that often. She figured she could get lost in the crowd so easy. Finding a space was easy and she parked and got out and locked the car doors behind her. She walked in and was glad to see the huge crowd. She began merging with them right away and she felt safe. Here she did not stand out she would be hard to spot and that is what she wanted right now. She headed for the bookstore and headed for the young adult section and began browsing. She felt her self drawn to books invovling vampires and was not sure why.
It could be because how appealing death was to her right now or because of the fact she wanted a escape from this reality. She picked up a few books and read the covers and put them back. She got the first book in the house of night series and decided to get the next four since they seemed interesting. She was still looking to see if there was anything else that she might want. She felt someone looking at her and looked over and saw at the end of the young adult section someone was staring at her. She was a bit nervous because she did not know why. She decided to go ask them why. "Hi" she walked up to him. "I am wondering how come you were staring at me?"
