Laughing at Thad's ludicrous idea that she might like him, Alexia shook her head and ducked when she saw jello flying across the room heading towards her. She looked back with a triumphant grin which stopped dead in its track when someone in the direction she was facing threw mashed potatoes into her face. She ducked again and took off her vest to wipe her face. "Really good day indeed. And thanks Ezzie. This is really the highlight of my day." The junior chuckled, not knowing how ironic her statement would be by the end of the day as she crumpled her vest in her hand and looked towards the freshmen and the new guy who was talking about exiting.
She completely agreed when she saw teachers at the door. "Man...teachers here are like hawks." Alexia mumbled. Thad's crutches caught her in the shin but she didn't say anything as she listened to Ezzie's exit strategy. "You could use your trays to shield your face as you exit. But that's probably the only thing that would save you. I'm already down for the count. I'm so heading straight to the showers after this."
Not knowing what else to do as they crouched down, she took the opportunity to introduce herself to the new boy. "I'm Dash. Well, Alexia...Lexi but uh call me Dash." She took the boy's hand and gave it a firm shake. "I'm a Gould Junior." She continued before thwacking down an oncoming tray heading towards the new boy. "I don't know if you're actually new here but I've never seen you before so you're either new or Silver. And if you're both, on behalf of the whole school welcome to Gould High." She grinned before holding her vest up to protect her from some more flying mashed potatoes.
"Thad...can you really get out of here with those crutches? Maybe someone should hold on to you or something...Ezzie should be able carry you." The grin on her face should tell Thad and Ezzie that she was just teasing.

Anderson had been at the epicenter of the food fight when it started, and though he tried hard to stop it, the sight of the teachers informed him that retreat was a better option. He pulled his once-black blazer over his head and made a dash for it. A pile of spoons rained down near him, and he quickly shifted directions. What had started as a harmless food fight was becoming now more serious as some of the less intelligent students decided hard objects needed to be chucked around randomly. This fact was once again confirmed to Anderson and a tray slid across the floor in front of him. He decided it may be best to seek refuge at a nearby table for a moment.
He quickly glanced around and spied Lexi with a small group of people. As he turned to head in that direction, a blob of jello exploded across his face, staining him red. He managed to get to the ground and crawled the rest of the way to the table, wiping the viscous goo away from his eyes. “Hey Lexi, hey everyone. This is kinda crazy, huh?” Anderson smiled, and he could taste the black cherry flavor as it dripped into his mouth. He dearly hoped no one had been eating it first.
Moving to a crouching position, Anderson finally noticed who Lexi was with. “Thad and Ezzie, right?” Anderson knew most everyone at Gould, and though maybe he didn't know them well he prided himself on the fact he knew almost everyone's name. But when he saw Sebastian, he was stumped. “I'm sorry, I don't recognize you,” he apoligized, and extended his hand. “Hi, Anderson Clark. You from Silver?” Anderson smiled at the boy. He liked meeting new people, something that he had been doing quite often since the merger. He thought he at least could recognize everyone from Silver now, but there was still the occasional face he hadn't seen.
He turned back to Lexi, glad he had ran into her. “So I've got good news and bad news. Good news is I know how this all started. Bad news is I think it means Tim Durkin might not make it to gaming Saturday.” Anderson was getting excited for the new campaign he was going to run on Saturday. They had even managed to convince Lexi to come play, though she said she didn't know D&D all too well. He was just glad to pry her away from her MMORPGs. “Janie gave him the ultimatum, her or gaming. It got pretty heated and she chucked her pudding at him, and some of it flew past and got on Chuckie Brightman, and you know him...” Anderson took a breath and tried to wipe more of the jello juice from his face. The smell was starting to get to him. “Ugh... sorry. Anyway, I don't think Tim's gonna make it. I mean, you know how him and Janie are, they aren't going to break up. Hopefully he'll get to come back, but I'm pretty sure he won't be around Saturday.”
Not to be rude, Anderson turned back to the rest of the group. “If any of you guys want to play, it's Saturday at three. And it's okay if you don't know how to play D&D, I'm pretty light on the rules, and we can help you out. Hardest part's making a character, from there on it's just telling a story and rolling dice!”

The sudden appearance of Anderson Clark made Alexia grin. If there was ever one person she could be sure to make her go all goofy, it was Anderson. The fact that he had made an emphasis for her to call him Anderson and not Andy while he insisted on calling her Lexi and not Dash was more than enough for her to think he's just a really goofy guy to be with. And of course, he was the only person who had managed to convince her that MMORPGs are not the only role-playing she could do. It helped matters that as much as the boy was awkwardly geeky, he was really cute. The smile he gave to the new boy made her want to pinch his cheeks.
His elaborate explanation of how the food fight started almost distracted Alexia from the flying jello heading in their direction. She managed to raise her vest in time but Anderson got the bulk of the jello on his face. She giggled before wiping it off his face with her vest and continuing to listen until he was finished. Tim Durkin was one of their best players so she understood why Anderson had to tell her the details of why he couldn't come and she quite understood because Janie Wexler, his girlfriend, was just all drama. And the on again off again relationship the two had was their thing and it was getting really old really fast.
"I think Tim's absence will make everyone else want to step up to the plate. So I wouldn't worry about Saturday. Cause hey! We're both involved, we can whip some booty pretty fine ourselves."
Alexia became quiet as Anderson started telling the others about Saturday's event. At the corner of her eye she saw something stuck in her hair and she tried getting it out, having it leave a gooey trail from the lock of hair to his fingers. "Oh this is so gross." She shook her head in amusement.
"Guys, we seriously have to go before we get detention like the rest of the Neanderthals out there. I'd join in but the adult nay sayers are here, I hardly think you guys would wanna piss them off, no?"

“Great! Love the attitude!” Anderson smiled as Lexi spoke. He was glad to hear that possibly losing Tim wasn't too much of a disappointment, since he was such a great roleplayer. “And it'll be good to get some new faces, hopefully,” he said, looking around at the rest of the group. “Tim usually made a cleric, so it'd be good for you guys to have someone take that spot.” A wicked grin started to spread across his face. “I have a lot of great things planned to start this game, and you'll probably need healers!”
Anderson noticed as Lexi glanced out of the corner of her eye and spied a glob of something yellowish in her hair. Her attempts at removing it were unsuccessful, and Anderson watched with amusement. She was a pretty girl, Anderson could not deny that. After her vain attempts to remove the mess from her hair, he reached over and placed on hand on her head while he pulled on the sticky substance with the other. A pair of pasta noodles dropped to the cafeteria floor, and Anderson's hand was not coated with a glowing yellow goo. “Mac and cheese,” he declared, wiping his hand on his blazer. There was still traces of it in her hair, but at lease the noodles were out and it was a less obvious hair ornament.
“I agree with Lexi,” Anderson spoke to the group. Since he was his gaming group's storyteller/DM/GM, he was used to taking charge of a small, motley group of folks. “We just have to wait for a lull in the action, and make a break for it” He pointed towards an unoccupied doorway that led out of the building. “I think that might be our best option, it's not too far. Everyone ready?” He waited for everyone to signify their preparedness, then popped his head up above the table. Not much was flying in their direction, though a stray kernel of corn did nearly hit his eye. Instead, it smeared a buttery mark across his cheek. He saw a teacher walking in their direction, and decided it was now or never.
“Okay, RUN!”
