Bree's words chilled Sloane only because he knew what had happened with her. She wished Bree didn't ever have to go throught what she did but...no one can rewind time anyway so there was no use for Sloane to get upset by it. She just hoped Bree was strong enough to overcome this and Sloane wanted to be with her every step of the way. If she would have her of course.
"May might surprise you, Bree." Sloane smiled genuinely. "She certainly surprised me last night." She took Bree's hand in hers and squeezed it lightly. A group of boys passed by and made cat calls and wolf whistles. Sloane turned to them with and eyebrow raised. "Waiting for a show?" She gave them a smirk and moved closer to Bree, their joined hands she brought closer to her chest. The boys were practically salivating. "Amateurs." Sloane rolled her eyes and turned back to Bree, leaning her head on her propped elbows on top of the table.
"I can't handle Tyler. It's best he doesn't know about this. And I think I should be honest to at least May. She deserves it. Not that Nolan doesn't. But...he's moving things too fast and I'm scared if I break it off now it's just going to ruin everything. Not just between us..." Sloane shrugged.
Dropping Bree's hand slowly on the table, Sloane tilted her head slightly to regard her best friend. "What's been happening with you lately...?" Sloane asked gently. "I mean...obviously you're not seeing anyone. At least not someone male and...you don't like...girls do you?" She grinned suggestively.
