Right now Fallon was waiting for the bell. She was playing with a hold in her blue jeans. An intentional hole, well more like a rip, right where the knee was. She was still waiting. Once the bell sounded she stood up, fixed her purple top. It was one of her favs. One she had made. It had one sleeve and the other was off the shoulder. It was so cute, but then again Fallon was biased.
Fallon had heard the rumors, how could she not. He was her best friend. Cass was back, yet she had not seen him. She looked and looked and looked. Gould was not that large, but Cass seemed to be eluding her. It was just a fun game to try and find him. Cass had no idea he was playing. Fallon knew if she thought long and hard enough she could find him easy, but looking for a needle in a hay stack was the best in the world. Just one long, fun game, that she could not resist.
Yes, Fal was that girl always looking for the needle. The one who when she started a puzzle, always insisted on starting from the middle instead of the ends. That was Fal. She had her own way of doing things. She was Fal and he was Cass. They got each other, both been through similar things. He was the only one outside of her family who knew....knew her secret. he knew the whole ordeal, which was scary because every time Fal thought of that 'hospital' she shuddered. Never would she go back. Not a fun place to be.
Finally Fallon found him. So typical. He even looked the same, which was good because Fal was not sure what she would have done had he changed. Then again it had only been what 2 months. How much could someone had changed? Fal smiled as she snuck up behind him. She could not wipe the smile off her face. Of course she was not going to scare the shy boy that would be mean, but he would get a friendly warning about the impending hug. So Fal tapped Cass on the shoulder, "Hey, first welcome back and second, I am giving you exactly 5 seconds to prepare for a hug." She said with a giggle.

Cas was still reeling from the fact that two girls had talked to him in class earlier. The rest of his morning ran rather normally after that. As he wandered through the hall ways in search of his locker, people still kept asking him where he had gone. He felt like a parrot repeating the same thing over and over again. His smile was still polite though and finally when he got to his locker, he got his lunch out and grabbed the packet of wet wipes in the small compartment he had made himself in workshop.
He closed the locker and walked to the cafeteria but was stopped by a tap on his shoulder. He froze and gulped. Why would anyone touch him? Did they not know who he was? he thought by now the whole school would know how he was a freak who didn't like to be touched. He was about to start hyperventilating when a familiar voice warned him of a hug. He turned around and a smile crossed his face when he saw his best friend standing in front of him. "Fallon." He said, his eyes softened and his tone of voice was warm.
Of all the people he missed when he was in Denver, Fallon had to be on the top of that list. They had gone through pretty much every bad thing in their lives together and both knew each other's flaws and secrets. The two months he was away was pretty much torture because he couldn't tell her anything. Now that he was standing in front of her, all he could think of doing was kissing her and hugging her, two things he had no inclinations of doing to anyone except his family. But the pending hug Fallon promised made him smile. "I...I'm ready." He grinned.

Of course Fallon knew Cass did not like to be touched. It was why she only tapped him and then warned him about the hug. She was not about to send the boy into a panic attack. Fal smiled as he said he was ready. She smiled brightly and then engulfed him in a hug of all ages. It was one of those hugs that said I missed you and you better not leave again. She needed Cass around. Someone to talk to when she felt the need to not talk to her siblings, which although was rare, did happen. "I missed you." She whispered next to his ear.
The hug which only lasted about a minute, three tops, seemed to last forever. In a 16 years old mind two months was forever, at least for Fallon. "You are such a sigh for sore eyes, you have no idea. So much has happened and its just really good to have you back." She said getting exacted. Once Fallon released Cass from the hug she moved to his side and looped her arm through his. "So talk....Denver.....tell me...."
Fallon was beyond thrilled and she did want to hear all the details about Denver, even if for the past two months she had been selfish and wished that Cass would come back. Now he was back and Fallon could not help, but wonder if this was some kind of twist of fate.

Cas froze a bit at the beginning of the hug but slowly he relaxed as he reminded himself that this was Fallon and not some stranger. His arms wrapped around her tiny waist and he squeezed her lightly. Her whispered words made Cas blush and then smile. He reciprocated and whispered, "Missed you too, Fallon."
When she released him, it took him awhile to adjust to the sudden loss of warmth but it was immediately replaced by an arm hold. Cas smiled. "It's good to be back and I'm glad you've been thinking the same thing. There was no one for me to talk to. And I couldn't get any internet access so I couldn't send you any emails. It was hard." He shrugged as they walked to the cafeteria.
"Denver itself was great. The competition by the end of the course was intense. I was so close to getting first prize but the guy who got first was way better than me. I got to learn a lot though so that was cool." He said, recounting his stay in Denver.
"What's been happening here? I heard about the shooting but I really don't want to hear about again. Did anything else happen? What have you been up to?"

Fal smiled as they talked. "You almost got first, that's great." She said excited for her friend. It was always great to hear something good. Cass did deserve first, but as long as he was not bummed out about it. "So that explains the un answered emails. I was wondering. When you check your email next, prepare for one email for every day you were gone." Fal said with a laugh. "Thank god, I could not be happier that you want talk about other things." Fal did not care to recount her experience of being in the same room as the intended target.
"Well last week my siblings and I went with a group of other people to the Haunted light house by the pier. It was so scary. I got licked in a dark room, and then Thad got taken home by police. Just when it was over, Si got arrested the next day because the police recognized her from the light house. Needless to say the moms..." Fal used air quotes around the words 'moms'. "Are not happy with Thad or Si and for now I am staying out of the way." Fal informed Cass, "So you came back to at a good and fun time." She said with a slight giggle.
"Okay now for the boring. All I have really been doing is working and I have deciden to expand my clothes making skills. I am going to attempt to make a Jacket for my friend Taki, whom you should meet. He is very nice and not too over whelming. By the way, I might need you to be a fit model for me. I just need measurments so I can attempt to make men's clothes. At the very least you can give me feedback because Thad and Si, I don't think will be too reliable." She said giving him an encouraging smile. "How has your life been?"

Cas blushed at Fal's practically undying faith in him. She had always been the one supporting his writing before he showed it to his uncle and mother. She was actually the reason why he started in the first place. The thing about the email brightened Cas up as well. He loved reading personal emails and Fallon always had something funny to say in her emails. "I look forward to reading them, Fallon. Thank you."
As Fallon recounted what had happened in his absence, Cas found himself smiling and laughing, just like old times. Two months completely isolated from his family friend... was quite an experience. Not something he wanted to experience ever again. "Yaay!" Cas laughed.
When Fallon started to talk about her clothes, which were just as important to her as writing was to him, Cas listened attentively. He wasn't all hyped up to meet new people. This Taki character might want to shake his hand or do a 'bro hug' or some made-up handshake with lots of fist bumps and hand slaps and other ridiculous things to which Cas would definitely not be comfortable with doing. It might offend the Taki character and Fallon would have a hard time trying to mediate the two. He didn't want that bother but the least he could do was try.
"I'd be glad to help out. So long as it's you doing the measuring." Cas grinned.
"My life?" He shrugged. "Same as before I suppose. Just a thousand dollars richer. But that's been stowed away into my bank account that I can't touch until I'm at least 18. But mom and Uncle Adam are still spoiling Case and me." At the mention of his baby sister, an affectionate smile graced his face. It was clear to anyone how much Cas cared for his little sister.

"I think you will get a kick out of them. I think in one all I do is rant and rave about how much trouble you are in for leaving me behind, but you are forgiven now that you are back." She said with a wide smile. She was only kidding. At least Cass got her sense of humor. Although its not like she said it in some menacing voice. when she spoke those words her voice was light airy, with a hint of joking and fun loving. She was just really glad to have her friend back. God she missed him. "Any new writing to show me....I have books of new clothes, but what I really need to show is this one I made for Si? You know her style so you can imagine how hard it was....but I know if you could try something new in Denver, then I could try something new here."
Of course Fal was more referring to the fact he left for Denver and stayed there for two months, but still. It applied all around. "It was defiantly not boring, but sometimes boring is better." Fal admitted. "Although now that you are here, I plan on a ton of fun with my best friend by my side." Of course she was not talking about outdoors fun. She knew how Cass was about people and stuff, so she was referring to in the room fun and not in that way for people with sick minds.
What Fallon meant was they could sit in a room for hours talking about day dreams, writing, her art, sports...and anything else they enjoyed. it was fun. Simple, good ole fashion fun. Who said you had to leave your house to know how to have some fun. "I promise to do all the measuring. All you have to do is stand like a statue....basically." Fallon told him.
She caught the smile on his face, "How is your sister?" She asked him. Fal had not seen Cass's little sis in a while, she would have to make a house call. He got the same smile Fal got when she referred to her family.

When asked about Casey, Cas beamed. "I know it's only been two months but I think the girl's grown. She looks like she could be our age." Cas gushed. "I can't imagine myself fending off the guys who'd be...oh no I don't think I want to think about it." Cas shivered. "You should come over. Casey hasn't seen you for so long. And you know how much she adores you. And your clothes making skills." He laughed a bit.
