Jeremy had been in a depression ever since Jade left for New York to start up a major branch of his family's business. Jere didn't want to be greedy and keep Jade for himself but still he didn't like Jade going out east. Jade had asked him to go along but Jeremy felt like he couldn't leave his family and the life he got to know all behind him.
He drove out to the pier to try and clear his head of all sorts of thoughts. He thought about getting a big old bag of cotton candy while letting the tide wash over his feet. He decided against it, he didn't need the stomach ache that would follow afterward.
Instead he opened the trunk of his car and grabbed a towel and his swim trunks and changed in a little cabana. He ran out and dove into the ocean. He swam about for a bit before getting out. There was a slight chill in the air.
He grabbed his towel and dried off before spreading it out and sitting down.

Reagan was not your typical every day girl. For one she got along more then well with her brothers. She didn't always agree with them but they were close, even closer since the marriage between their parents seemed to be turning for the worst. Today she had spent her entire day at the beach with them. Sun up to sun down on the sand, in the water, a little bit of time at the boardwalk grabbing lunch. It had been good for them. They were going home though and she had no intention any time soon so they had drove in separate cars and as she waved them away she turned taking the keys from her short pocket to unlock her own vehicle.
As she fumbled with them searching for the right key her line of eye sight was low and almost immediately went directly to the flat tire on her front drivers side tire. Dropping her arms to her side slowly she crouched down to her knees to get a good look at what had gone wrong. Running along the tread in the tire she saw a small hole about the size of a nail where the air had been let out. Running her hand over her head she looked around, her brothers had already left, and she wasn't sure she would be able to change a tire on her own.
Reagan opened the door to her car and set her keys and bag inside popping her trunk and making her way around the back. She always had the spare with her, the tire, a jack, everything she needed to change it, but this would be her first time having to do it on her own. Pulling the items out and placing them on the concrete near the tire she layed down on the ground til she was underneath the side panel of her car looking at the undercarriage. Immediately her head started spinning, she was so confused as to where even to begin. At the risk of sounding stupid she let the idea of calling the boys back go real fast. Not to mention they were going up the road for dinner and probably had already ordered at this point.
Standing from the ground again she realized there was a car parked not to far to her left meaning someone had to be around. Taking her keys from the seat again and closing the door she walked down the steps and onto the beach seeing a guy laying back in the sand not to far away. Holding her breathe she made her way barefoot, across the warm sand to where he was sitting stopping just behind him mustering up the courage to ask him for help, not just courage but some way of asking him without sounding like a total idiot and priss.
" Hi. " she said finally taking another step forward til she was in his eye sight. " I am really sorry to bother you but I kinda was wondering if you would be able to help me? I have a flat tire, I have everything to change it, I just don't know where even to begin. " Reagan admitted more honestly then she had expected as it poured from her mouth. She fidgeted with the keys in her hands looking back towards the parking lot. " If you can't I can try and call someone, no pressure at all."

Jeremy was watching the tide roll in and out, almost becoming hypnotized by its motion at first not hearing the girls' voice behind him.
He blinked a few times as if he had awakened from a deep sleep. He looked up at the girl, who seemed sweet enough and genuinely in trouble.
He gave her a smile. "I can help, no problem." He stood up and brushed the sand from himself then his towel. Having been in theater he wasn't too bashful to be shirtless around people, especially girls.
He did grab his shirt though and slipped into it, letting it flap in the ocean breeze. "Let's take a walk to your car and see what I can do." After all one should help those who need it.
