Afternoon excessive Shopping (Tag Jere, any)

Jade stared at Mike for a moment before shaking his head and the disgust clearly written on his face, "Mike do us all a favour and give me your damn keys before you kill someone who isn't you with your car." Jade said to him. "Or would you like that on your conscience." Jade said to him he didn't particularly care if the boy wanted to do something stupide, but it stopped at putting people who were not him at risk... "Your clearly a danger to yourself and every body else on the road in that condition." Jade said to him holding his hand out.

"Make the right choice Mike, or you can explain to the nice policemen what you were doing driving while under the influence, I'm guessing that would cost you your spot on the football team if that were to happen." Jade said. "If you actually managed to kill someone during an accident, I'm guessing you'd be facing some serious jail time, but I am sure someone would make you theirs." Jade said to him.

"Kiki is it, I guess someone had to try and pick up the pieces of his life... but then I'm not sure giving him coke, and vodka is the greatest idea in the world." Jade said his eyes making contact with a security officer who had been watching the argument for a while now.

"Everything is fine here." he said to the man who shook his head and didn't look like he was going to move any time soon.

Jere shook his head. "Mike I'm not going to try and fight you for your keys. Past experience tells me that you'd make it some sort of sexual encounter and I'm not in the mood for that. Just hand your keys over to us."

"Though maybe he should drive, and when everyone else in the car dies from his carelessness, then he can apologize to their families. Just think of how he'd have to break the news to the girl du jour." He hoped that stung where it counted but with Mike it was really hard to tell. It seemed like if he wanted to go to Hell then he'd take others down with him.

Mike's attitude really bothered Jeremy. Sure he was aloof and didn't seem to care about anything but when he talked about being in a ditch being better than being at home, it just sounded odd. If he had time alone with him, he'd investigate what was going on.

Jeremy tried to look relaxed around the security officer. "Yeah things are fine here sir, just friendly conversation here." He hated to lie but he didn't want things to escalate into something more.

Mike laughed. That's all he could do. Was just laugh. The look on both Jade's and Jeremy's faces was priceless in his state, "If I give you my keys....then how and I suppose to get home....I doubt my dads would be able to pick me up." Not like they would care. Whether he was drunk, high or normal he knew what awaited him when he went home.

"Jail can't be any worse then my life." Mike said in a quiet tone. The guys had a very good point as they talked about Mike killing people and hurting someone that was not him. They were right. That could happen. Mike had his fair share of semi accidents when driving under the influence.

"Hey I did not ask for it...my friends gave it to me....Kiki I think gave me the X.....Kyle brought the coke and Tony the booze...I don't ask for shit, but if they have it I won't refuse it." Mike turned back and smiled at the officer. "Just having a friendly disagreement." He said to the guy.

Mike looked from Jeremy to Jade and shook his head. He hated when people looked at him with a sincere look. He hated it because if you looked hard enough you could see feelings behind the look and for Mike it was easier to pretend they did not care. "Fine...what ever.....just remember I will need my keys back eventually...." Mike said putting his key's in Jade's hand. Mike pulled at his shirt to make sure it was not showing anything....then again it was a shirt and was meant to cover the signs of abuse.

Jade pocketed the keys in his hand then looked at Jeremy for a moment wondering where the best place for the car to be left would be, "I'll have one of the cooks pick up your car and drive it back to your house, when I get home." Jade said to him his eyes flicked to Mike's stomach maybe he had been wrong but for a moment he thought he had seen something there but it was gone before he had a chance to be sure so he had dismissed it out of hand.

"It was given to you Mike... are you saying your so weak with addiction that you can't say no to either, what happens when they piss test you before a game... you know they can do that right... your lose the one thing I'm guessing that you actually like... now the drink thats cool, that's out of your system pretty quickly, but the coke, thats going to stay with you." Jade said to him. "Now you might get through the game that you play that day, but after that you would be screwed." Jade said to him.

"You have a problem, but that isn't my problem anymore is it, and your making it very easy for everyone who does have a little bit of care for you, to ignore the fact that you need help..." Jade said to him. "What do you want at the end of the day Mike." Jade said his eyes travelling to the security officer again, he wondered whether it had crossed the minds of the other people nearby to call the security or the police.

"Just tell them to leave the keys in the mailbox or some shit. Hell tell them to leave them in the car. I don't care. As long as the car makes it back to the drive way." Mike said with a slight shrug. He really did not care in his current state. The only current problem he had was how to get home. Mike scratched the back of his head. "Ummm how far do i live from here?" That was something anyone should know. Especially if you lived in Californa for a while, which Mike had. So the question he asked sounded stupid for a sober guy, but Mike was far from sober.

"I do not look at it as weak with addiction. i like to consider my self strong with a party life. If drugs and booze come along with that life then so be it. I would rather have an addiction then have to deal with certain shit." Now if Mike was a smart in anyway he would break down and tell Jade, and even Jeremy the truth, but Mike was not smart. "Anything that helps me get through the day. The coach has no reason to piss test me. So I doubt it would be an issue. Besides there are ways to cheat a piss test. You just have to find them." Mike said with a wink.

"As far as I can tell no one really cares....you claim to , but I doubt you really do and him..." Mike pointed at Jeremy, "Well he is just your little lap dog, so he will go along with whatever the hell you want. I don't need help. I am fine. I am enjoying high school, having a blast. " Mike gave a small chuckle and looked Jade right in the eye, "You don't want to know what I want at the end of the day. You won't like it and sure as hell won't be able to handle the truth. So go back to your fantasy world. The real world sucks. Not everything is peaches and cream? Sometimes people just want to escape the life they have."
