Mew halted his song when Melodee complimented him. "Eh...um...thanks." He muttered, staring very hard at the piano keys and turning nearly the same color as his hair. He rarely performed outside of the recitals that his piano instructor deemed absolutely necessary, for although he quite enjoyed playing it could be difficult to get up the nerve to subject himself to his peers' judgement, which could be thoughtlessly brutal. He hadn't been able to resist the Fazioli, however, and while he hadn't expected Melodee to be openly cruel, he definitely hadn't expected that she would compliment him, either. "Been taking lessons since before I could walk, almost." He informed the piano.
He glanced over at Tyler, once more surprised at being addressed. "Yeah, should be. Phil wouldn't miss this for the world, he's been trying to get it off the ground for awhile." He recalled that Magdalena had confessed to a Valentine's date with the other boy, and although he had difficulty accepting the truth of this at the time, now that Tyler was there looking hopeful he had to admit that perhaps she wasn't joking, after all. He was rather shocked that she would be interested in Tyler, though, the football player couldn't possibly be her type; gorgeous as he was, he was still a jock and a player. In the red-head's mind it was slightly more plausible that Tyler would be interested in Magdalena than the other way around.
"I think Maggy's coming..." He offered at last, uncertainly. He hadn't discussed it with her, but she usually attended social gatherings if Phil insisted, and as this was Phil's baby his insistance was more aggressive than usual.

“Play? Football, yes, instruments, not so much.” Tyler chuckled, good naturedly. He already liked this girl, then again, he tended to like most beautiful women. He might have to ask Mel about her, get her story. After all, the more he knew about a girl, the easier it was to earn their affection. Not that it was difficult to for someone like him. And with that done, it wasn’t long until their inevitable make out session, and from there, it wasn’t long before the brief thing with the girl became an overnight, brief thing. “My mother had forced me to take a few piano lessons when I was much younger, but that is the extent of my experience, I am afraid. I think I’ll stick to what I do best, and leave such things to the more talented.” he smiled, a glint in his eyes.
He was tempted to ask to stay after the meeting, hear both women on their respective instruments. Besides lengthening his time with the admittedly attractive Kaelie, he had not yet heard Melodee play, and he was more than a little curious. But, he was too well raised to even bring up the issue, if he was wanted, then he would be asked. It seemed like Mel was after some girlie one on one time.
Hearing slight worry, or what sounded like it in Melodee’s voice, he turned to her with a smile. She actually seemed a tad concerned about no one else having arrived yet. Though, he was well aware, it was most likely because she wanted this little meeting of theirs to be a success. He could not blame her. “I’m sure they won’t be long.” With Mew’s addition, he allowed himself a broad grin. “See Mel, they’re probably just held up. Wherever Maggy is, I’m sure Phil isn’t far behind. I’ll try not to be too boring company in the meantime.” he teased.

Kaelie listened as they discussed the missing members. It sounded like Phil and Maggy were important to each other even if it wasn't in a romantic way and it was possible that Tyler was interested in Maggy. Which meant the attention he was directed towards her was either harmless or not so harmless flirtation. She might be new to the L.A. school scene, but they had boys back in Connecticut that covered the whole gamut of types and players.
"If you play football you should keep up with music and dance. It might sound contradictory but the study of rhythm can only help you weave through the opposing team members more successfully," Kaelyn said with a grin, trying not to imagine Tyler in tights. Such a vision could only prove embarrassing.
"Is this your first meeting then?" Kaelie asked rather hoping it was. It was always more comfortable to be in on the beginning of a group than come in after it was completely established. "Do we have a topic for today or will it be freeform discussion."
