"Yeah but even a friend should not have to witness drama that should be done in private. It was not fair to you." Haley just felt embarrassed. She didn't want to air her dirty laundry out here for Tyler to hear. Mostly cause he was a good friend. Yes they flirted and maybe it was wrong, but it was harmless. Haley does not cheat.
She never cheated on her boyfriends. She was not like that. Cam should trust her enough to know that she would have turned down all of Tyler's advances, but he hadn't made any. Which made Haley thought Tyler respected her relationship with Cam. Cam was the one acting as if Haley was planning to cheat.
Haley looked at cam wanting to go after him, but her feet just would not move. She didn't want to chase him down. She was angry and needed to calm down at least. So no. she did not go after him. Instead she took the flask and took a ling sip from it. Maybe she and cam could talk over the weekend, but right now she just needed to ....to not chase him. Maybe he would turn back.
"Thanks for the drink. Listen you should get to the gym, don't let me and my self pity keep you from your plans. I am afraid i will be nothing but a downer tonight, so consider yourself lucky that you have an excuse not to get roped into anything with me." Haley hated to be a downer. She would rather be depressed and alone, then bring someone else down to her level. "Thank you for being a good friend, and can you tell the squad not to worry about me, if I don't make it by the start they should just go on without me." Haley told Tyler.
"I feel like a mess." Haley said taking a deep breath. She offered Tyler a kind smile. "See you around. If I don't make it, let me know how the pep rally goes. " Haley said as she slide to the floor. She wanted to cry, but would not do it here. She just needed some time to gather her thoughts and her emotions. She needed to get herself back together.

OOC: Cam probably would have just kept going only to realize how stupid he acted much later lol so I figured I'd throw Shelby in to be kind of annoying lol
BIC:
Shelby was oblivious to the drama going on outside while she got ready for the pep rally. Her uniform was on and her hair looked just right and her makeup looked just so... She checked herself out in the mirror one last time. Perfect. She was ready to go out and be greeted by the crowd.
She didn't think it was all over school yet, but she'd certainly heard some whispers about her and Tyler going on around school. Shelby loved it...loved the attention, especially when it had to do with her and the hottest, most popular guy in school. And it was true, she had made out with him so it wasn't even like what people were whispering was false!
Shelby pushed her long blonde hair behind her shoulders as she emerged from the locker room, her blue eyes falling right on the site in front of her...Haley and Tyler...kind of close together. Now, Shelby wasn't naive! She knew by no stretch of the imagination that Tyler was all hers. She knew they weren't dating or anything just because they'd made out a little bit. But still...wasn't Haley dating that loser kid from Silver? She needed to move over and leave Tyler for the single girls...like herself.
But still, Haley was popular, very popular, and as a freshman in was Shelby's job to kiss up to her. "Hi Haley, Tyler!" she said cheerfully as she approached them. "I'm like so ready for the pep rally...aren't you?" she asked Haley. "You still leading that cheer?" she asked, tossing her hair once more, mostly for Tyler's benefit.
She turned to Tyler next, giving him a hug and kiss on the cheek. "Hi, Tyler," she smiled, "how are you?" she asked. "You know, Haley, I had such a good time at your party," she went on. She of course was completely oblivious to all the drama that had just taken place, so had no idea that the moods of Haley and Tyler weren't quite as spirited as her own. "Thanks so much for inviting me. I know other freshman weren't really invited, so it was really cool of you to extend the invite," she said, doing her best at kissing up.
Shelby knew her place. She knew she was considered the little freshman protege...the one deemed cool enough to take the place as Queen Bee in a few years. But she also knew that that didn't mean she was automatically invited everywhere either. So she needed to kiss up. "And Tyler," she said, taking his arm and sort of linking hers with him. "I had a great time hanging out with you the other night too," she told him with a smile, being bubbly as ever. She needed Haley to know that she and Tyler were close now, because she knew that that would mean a lot in her quest for popularity.

OOC: Haha, that's an awesome idea!
“Hey, it’s nothing, no problem really. And keep the flask, I insist.” Tyler told her, again a little disappointed that he couldn’t hang back for a little while. Soon, Haley would be a slightly tipsy, slightly depressed mood, needing someone there for her, to help give her esteem and her mood a bit of a boost, and he would have loved being the man for the job. The school was largely empty, wouldn’t have been hard to find an empty place and start working his magic. Oh well, he would just have to make do with Sari over the weekend, and that was certainly something he was looking forward to.
“Are you sure? I can hang awhile with you a little longer, I don’t mind. Again, it’s what friends are for.” He watched her sink to the floor, leaning against the locker, and knew that this was hitting her harder than she wanted to show. And all because of Cam. It was rather odd, at least to his mind. It was just some nerdy Silver guy, someone who should could do much better than, and yet she was letting him get to her? The things relationship did to people, honestly. He was starting to think perhaps he was one of the smarter ones left, for steering clear of this whole mess.
Then a girl he hadn’t expected to see until next week, if you didn’t count admiration from afar during the rally, turned up. Not that he minded, of course, he was always happy to see a beautiful girl, especially one that seemed just as happy to see him. He was curious about how Shelby’s rather perky mood would affect Haley, if it would rub off on her, and just be an annoyance. He was hoping for the former. He was her friend after her, he didn’t want her to be depressed because of some insignificant fool.
“Shelby.” he greeted with a smile, letting his eyes briefly roam over her. He really couldn’t help it, it was just who he was. And he was checking if her skirt was just as short as Haley’s, so really, he was just being helpful. He let the two women discuss the rally briefly, looking forward to it starting. All those cute, scantily clad women showing off their flexibility, what was not to love?
“I’m actually doing rather well, thanks.” he flashed a grin at her, this grin widening after her next comment to Haley. He knew exactly why she had such a great time at the party. He was more than happy to have been of service. Tyler was a little bit surprised when she took his arm but he certainly didn’t mind, it was never a bad thing to be close to a cute girl. “As did I. We’ll have to do it again soon.” he promised with a grin, more than happy to thrill the girl. It was what he did after all, make others happy, and he was so good at it too.
“So, Hales, are you coming now? Or should Shelby and I just go ahead and you catch up later?” He was asking this deliberately, just a more discrete way of asking whether she’d be making it to the rally, or skipping it entirely. There was no reason to bring the younger girl into all of this, after all. And if skipping was Haley’s plan, he was more than happy to find some way to distract Shelby. She had been right before, he really was a good friend.

"If I keep it, i might start using it." Haley took another taste of the bitter alcohol. It helped, burn away her pain. It had to be funny. Watching a cheerleader crumble over a geek. How the tables had turned. "Thanks but you are way to happy to be hanging around me. It's nice though. That you want to hang back. To bad I hear you are all booked this weekend. We could have hung out." Of course Haley meant purely as friends.
Just then Shelby showed up. Normally Haley was all for mentoring the younger girl, but right now she did not care for the sucking up or the whole kissing ass thing. Haley had done it once. She had been a freshman once kissing ass to the older cheerleaders, so she knew all about it. Shelby actually was very good. It made Haley smile. "Your brother is very nice Shelby, so how could I refuse when he asked. Besides you are quite the cheerleader. Its good to know Gould will be in good hands. I think you are rubbing off on the younger silver girls as well." Which was a good thing.
Haley looked from TYler to Shelby noticing her getting closer and gave him a look that said did you really...with her? Haley knew Tyler's rep and the way the girl seemed to be clingling to him could only mean he had done something to make her feel special. That was Tylers way. Haley had to smile at it, "I am glad you both had fun. My fdad goes out of town often, so I am sure I will find time for another one. If not at my place, i know people from Silver who are always willing to throw a party. In fact there is one next week on Wednesday after school." Haley remembered.
She sighed and took another sip of her flask. "Yes I am leading the cheer. Just trying to geer up for it." Haley held out her hand, "Help me up Tyler?" She asked. He pulled her up with ease, A little much ease seeing as she bumped right into his body. "Nice one." She smirked, "Was that on purpose?" She said laughing a little. "Oh and Shelby, why don't you do me a favor. Tell people I am single now." Haley was a little mad and maybe a bit vengeful. She knew Shelby could spread the gossip.
Haley looked at Tyler, "Thanks again. You are a truly good friend." Cam could be jealous over Tyler all he wanted. Haley was not naive or stupid, she knew Tyler's life style. It was not a life style for her, but she would never, ever tell Tyler how to live his life. "So...shall our handsome escort, escort us toward the pep rally." Haley was acting happy mostly so Shelby would not know anything had happened.

Shelby was happy that Tyler still seemed so enamored with her. And Haley was complimenting her too! This was all so good! Maybe Shelby wouldn't have to wait till she was older to really be one of the popular girls. Sure she was in line now, but nobody could deny that she was the best the game had seen in quite some time. She always knew exactly what to do and say.
She wasn't exactly pleased when Haley admitted that Shelby's brother was the only reason she'd gotten the invite...especially in front of Tyler, but she kept her smile plastered on. She knew better than to show an ounce of ungratefulness.
She did note that Haley was drinking, which surprised her, but what didn't surprise her was hearing that Haley was now single. After all...how long was she going to date that loser anyway? "Good for you," she said, encouraging her, "you're way better without that guy anyway. I'll make sure to spread the word." It really was the best thing that could have happened for Shelby. This gossip was BIG and she was the first to know...entrusted to spread the word. And oh she would!
Haley would be coming to the pep rally though...and Shelby had a choice. Which was better...being seen walking in with Tyler and Haley or running ahead and spreading the gossip. Oh! If only she had her phone...but of course it was safe in her locker along with her school clothes and she couldn't exactly hold on to her cell during the rally. The cheerleading uniform didn't exactly leave room for pockets after all.
"Yeah, sounds good," Shelby said. She'd be seen walking in with Haley...and she still could probably spread the word before Haley said anything. Haley seemed a little out of it which didn't make sense since Shelby doubted that the other blonde ever had any feelings for that nerd anyway. He probably was doing her homework or something... After all...why else would she date a guy like that. It wasn't like he did anything for her reputation. Popularity was a game...and Shelby knew how to play it.

“You know, I think that’s the point.” Tyler pointed out with a grin, rather impressed with how easily Haley was drinking down the scotch the flask contained. He would have expected a lot of girls, especially cheerleaders, to pull a bit of a face when they tried to drink that particular choice of alcohol, but she was drinking it as though it was water. She’d be well on her way to tipsy very shortly. So he agreed with her completely, it was too bad that he was all booked, well, at least it was too bad he was all booked for after the pep rally. He would have gladly hung out with the girl, and done what he could to make sure they wouldn’t just be friends by the end of their night together.
It almost seemed funny to him that it was her brother that got Shelby invited to the party in the first place. If he found out just what she had gotten up to, he might very well regret it. Still, Lucas couldn’t be too mad, Tyler realised, his sister was a beautiful girl, he had to realise that sooner or later, she’d be attracting attention. And while Tyler was a very well known womaniser, he liked to think his reputation extended to being know for treating women well regardless, so Lucas couldn’t be too angry, the girl could do worse. At least that way he’d know his teammate at least treated his little sister with respect, when the same couldn’t be said for some other guys in the school if they had ended up with Shelby instead.
Catching Haley’s look, Tyler just raised an eyebrow and grinned, she knew what he was like, so he knew she really wouldn’t be surprised. Anyway, how could anyone possibly expect him to resist in the first place? She was young, and he respected that by keeping things as tame as he could. But still, Shelby was cute and keen on him, so how could he not indulge in a bit of fun? He couldn’t be judged on that, he felt. Besides, it wasn’t as though he’d been the only one to benefit, he knew the girl quite possibly had the night of her life with him. “Next Wednesday? Sounds good. And I’m always happy to throw one. My father’s often away on business, so that gives us free reign of the house. Although it’s easy enough for me to hire a venue too.”
When she asked, being the gentleman he was, Tyler leaned down and offered Haley a hand, easily pulling the slender girl to her feet. And always one to seize an opportunity when the moment arose, he made sure that he pulled her just enough to have her gently collide into him. Of course, this was something he would deny. “On purpose? Do you really think I would resort to something like that? I’m hurt, honestly, by how little you must think of me.” he teased.
He was a little surprised at what she told Shelby, and he knew that now the news would be all over the student population in a matter of hours, especially with the younger girl’s enthusiasm for the task. He hadn’t actually been expecting for the two to break up, and he hadn’t even realised it was a break-up until now. Tyler wondered if Cam fully understood either. Oh well, it was the guy’s fault for not taking his advice in the first place.
“Handsome? I would have happily escorted you both, you didn’t need to charm me Hales.” he teased. “But now that you’ve started, feel free to continue. And of course, the pleasure is all mine. It’s such a hard life, mine, having a beautiful woman on either arm. Well, ladies, shall we go?” he asked, holding out both arms to them, sending a long look especially over Shelby.

Of course Shelby would think Haley was better without Cam, everyone did. Same had the guy been Wynn. It was just a matter of social status. Cheerleaders dated popular guys and dorks dated dorks. Thats how it worked. Haley had crossed the lines and no body accepted it, but they tolerated it. Haley had convinced herself that Cam could have been included more had he hung out with her friends more. Which had not happened at the party, and now look. Cam walked away from her, which told Haley she meant squat to him.
When Tyler remarked to her comment about pulling her up on purpose Haley just smirked, "Sure. Okay. But just for the record, I don't think you are little at all." Haley teased. She just smiled. She was single, and not loving it at all. However, the teasing with Tyler and the sucking up from Shelby was working for now. Haley liked it. Of course those teasing words never would have been said had she been with Cam, but she wasn't. But this was helping her not think of Cam.
"You only get one compliment. can't have your head growing any bigger, it would not look very good." Haley took one arm, but glanced back briefly to see if maybe Cam was coming back. maybe she was over reacting or taking this whole thing harder then she should. Haley did not mind Tyler giving a long look to Shelby. She preferred it actually. Cause no matter what happened, Haley was determined to prove to Cam, that Tyler was just her friend and would never be in her bed.
"Well let me talk to the girl who is throwing the party, but i am sure I can get you both on the guest list." Some people were more picky then her, but Trixie...well. Let's just say sometimes she needed to know your name before you got invited anywhere, and Trixie was a hell of a lot more popular then Haley was. "But you are both welcome to meet her if you want. Her name is Trixie."
