Sandy inhaled between sobs, slowly looking up at the dark haired young woman talking to her.
"You...you have no idea what happened." She wiped her eyes. Her face was almost as red as her hair. She found an escaping kleenex and quickly nabbed it and blew her nose with a almost musical honk. The blurred vision was coming through, it was the girl playing Cha Cha in 'Grease', there was some common ground there. Sandy felt she could trust the girl.
'Have you ever done anything to make someone else jealous only to have it blow up at you?" She sniffed, pushing the hair from her eyes. "I just wanna curl up and die." It wasn't strange what she had said, it was the pride talking.

The other girl seemed surprise to Roxy's cluelessness. "Was it something that happened in the cafeteria?" she asked, figuring that must be it, given that it was lunch time and the only way someone like Roxy (who didn't know Sandy all that well) would have known what happened, was if she'd witnessed it herself. "I haven't made my way there yet," she said with a shrug, watching as the girl continued to sob.
Roxy didn't have any tissues to offer her, but it seemed Sandy had one for herself which was good. Unless she had more, Roxy saw a trip to the bathroom was in her future to get paper towels or rolled up toilet paper to use in loo of actual tissues which weren't exactly prevalent in the school hallways.
Sandy went on to explain that she'd been trying to make someone jealous...asking Roxy if it had ever happened to her. "Not exactly," she said, "but I think I know how you feel..." she said trailing off. "Once I did something to piss my parents off...and I sort of regretted it later...so much so that I never even told anyone I did it..." she trailed off again. She was thinking about how she'd lost her virginity. She'd wanted to rebel against her parents and afterward she was so embarrassed about it that not even her best friends knew. And now she'd gone and done it again for the first time since her first time to get that stupid id...what was she even doing? Roxy felt like sort of a mess inside, but she didn't really let it show. She wasn't sure she really wanted to share the thing she'd gone and done with the other freshman girl. Plus, Sandy was upset so Roxy figured it was best to keep the focus on her in order to make her feel better.
"So...what happened?" she asked, wondering if the other girl was willing to talk about it or not.

Nate watched Skye freak out. he shooed everyone away that was staring. He ran his hand over his head and sighed not sure what to do at first. He watched her fall then crawl over to the corner. She had to be having one of her anxiety attacks. It was a tad embarrassing, but it was all due to her crappy past, with the bastard.
Nate made sure any one staring or laughing got the death glare and told everyone to take a hike. She could not help these attacks. No one should even think of looking at Skye the wrong way. Nate walked over and crouched down. he placed a hand on her shoulder, "Breath Skye" He said softly.
"Sky you are safe, in school, in the hallway. Breathe. it's okay. You are safe." He felt guilty he was the cause of this attack. He never meant to freak her out like this at all. "Breathe...deep breath...deep breath...." He said to her, "It's okay...you are safe." He kept saying in a soft kind voice.

The young dancer's Flight or Fight instinct was in full swing, and god help her, she wanted to go. There was a small part of her braint hat was still in semi function mode, and it knew that she had to wait, that she had called Tyler. She just had to wait for her brother to get there. Little did she know, and would find out later, that it was not the Tyler that she had thought it was, but another in her contact list.
The spectators that had been watching slowly started to disappate. Some had wanted to snicker, but the deadly looks that Nate was giving out stopped that. A few felt bad for the girl.
The voice, its owner was trying to sooth the rabid beating of her heart, trying to pull her back into reality. It might have worked if he had not touched her on the shoulder. In Skye's panic driven mind, all she could see was Brian, his large hand grabbing her, hurting her. "NO!" She yelped, scooting away, fear in her eyes. "Don't touch me.." The brunette darted forward and to the side, moving quickly past Nate. She couldn't wait for anyone to get her..she had to go..go far..fast...just go to a place where pain could not touch her.
She bolted, pushing past students still in the hall. The rain outside had not let up at all, but she didn't care. Pushing open the double doors, Skye ran, rain quickly soaking through her clothes, her hair sticking to damp skin.

Sandy nodded, trying to regain her composure. She tried taking a couple deep breaths though her mouth.
There was a difference between what Sandy had done and what Roxy had done but it still ended in regret.
"Well, I...I was given advice on how to get the attention of someone by making them jealous. So stupid me went with the idea and kissed the first guy I saw. Not only did I not succeed in making the person jealous but I was screamed at by the guy's girlfriend. Everyone laughed at me, I just want to curl up right here and die now." She lightly thumped her head against the locker behind her.
"I just...I just feel so stupid for doing it." She looked up for the first time, her cheeks stained with tear stains.

Nate watched her go unsure of what to do. It was raining cats and dogs outside and going out there was not the smartest move in the world. He hung his head for a moment before standing up. Nate luckily had brought an umbrella from home cause of the rain this morning. He didn't want Skye getting any more drenched or she might get sick. So he grabbed the umbrella, closed the locker and headed out of the school.
He opened the umbrella to keep from getting wet, which was impossible cause even with an umbrella you can still get wet, at least the bottom of his pants did, but that was besides the point, he needed to get to Skye. he walked over to her with the umbrella high over his head and hers. "Skye...look at me..talk to me..i can't help you unless you look at me." he said to her trying to be louder then the rain.

The rain seemed to help, it cooled her heated skin, slowly taking her out of her fevered fit. Skye wrapped her arms around her chest, hands rubbing the wet material on her arms. Everything began to trickle intto her mind. Being upset this morning, seeing Nate kissing that girl in the cafe..breaking down into one of her attacks. Embarrasement flamed her cheeks. She'd known something was wrong, had felt it for days. She'd completely felt out of sorts. She needed to call her therapist, update her on what had happened.
Suddenly, the rain that had been kissing her skin was gone..from above her anyway. She kept her head down, knowing just by the shoes who it was. She didn't want to talk to him right now, not while the wounds were still raw. It would just be pouring salt into it. "I..don't want to talk...I want to go home." She said, her voice flat. "Go back inside..go to your classes...I gotta go." She told him, turning and starting to walk off. She still had not looked at him.

Roxy's eyes widened as Sandy explained what had happened. "So...you kissed him and he had a girlfriend...did he even know you were going to kiss him? I mean...maybe it would have worked better if you had let him in on the plan...you know...so there wouldn't be any surprises such as girlfriends you didn't know about," she said. "Or better yet...instead of trying to make this other guy jealous...maybe you should have just gone up and kissed the guy you liked. No need to make him jealous then...right?" she offered.
Roxy's heart went out to the red head and she looked up at her, tears streaked down her face. "Listen...it'll be alright," she said. "Who's the guy anyway? Maybe I can help you fix it," she smiled, perking up slightly, hoping that the lift in her mood would be contagious. Okay, maybe Roxy wasn't really a match maker or didn't even really know what she was doing when it came to guys, but she was still that girl who always liked to lend a hand. And she would do anything in her power to help. Although in this case she was thinking that honesty was the best answer. Her best advice to Sandy would probably be to tell the guy she'd been trying to make jealous the truth.
