She knew in her mind that it was way too early for Tyler to make a move on her even for a peck on the cheek so when he moved in closer to her, her knee jerk reaction was to move away and push the apple closer to him and when he took a bite, the old Lexi sighed in relief. She wasn't ready for anything that intimate yet. She just got over her first flirtation! In a way, Tyler's teasing just helped her even more to prepare herself for what Jay might want later on their date. If it happened of course.
She refused to let her disappointment show. With a raised eyebrow, Lexi chuckled. "Do you really think I don't have plans for tonight or for over the weekend?" He didn't know she didn't and it would stay that way. Her smile came back and she had to forcibly retain it when he invited her for lunch. She had classes but she decided maybe she should just skip it. If it meant it could cement her reputation as no longer being the nice girl, then she was all for it.
"Oh you don't have any other girls to help you with your pizza, Mr Durnham? That's a first." Lexi teased him.

“Oh, I’m sure you must. I mean, with the whole school to yourself.” Tyler reminded her with a grin, wondering if she in fact did have plans. The girl he loosely knew from before wouldn’t have, he was sure of it, unless it was to read comic books or play video games with her friends, whatever it was that people in her social group did. But this woman, well, he could almost believe that she did in fact have a group of guys all dying to date her. It was confidence that made all the difference. If only more women knew that, he was sure he’d have many more approaching him instead of just admiring from a distance. “You must be more than a little busy. Really, I should consider myself lucky that I’ve gotten to spend this long with you all to myself.” he teased lightly.
“I’ll just be honest. We both know that I have plenty of options when it comes to someone joining me for lunch.” he smirked, gesturing briefly to the girls around them. “But I’m much more interested by you. And like you said, how could I resist asking you? And perhaps, during lunch, you could be so kind as to tell me your plans for next week, namely, when you’re free. Such information could be useful for someone who wants to ask you out then.” Tyler told her with a grin.
He stood then, making sure to keep his attention focused solely on Lexi now. He knew women like that, liked thinking that a guy’s thoughts was completely on them. “So, shall we?” he offered his hand, letting his eyes move over her again. She made it clear she knew he’d been looking, yet she obviously enjoyed it otherwise she would have said something. So Tyler saw no reason but to oblige her again. “Maybe we could move things to a classroom, nice and quiet. So we can get to know each other better.” He couldn’t wait to find out how far the girl would go with him today.

"That's right," Lexi chuckled, licking her lips and pursing them before leaning back against her chair. She regarded Tyler and let him talk for a moment while she collected her thoughts. She really couldn't believe she was actually confidently flirting with a guy whom she was probably going to end up ditching classes with.
Not that she was going to make it easy for him, of course. Guys like Jay and Tyler probably didn't have to work too hard on getting girls. Girls practically just throw themselves at guys like those two. She might as well be the first to show them that not all girls will play by their rules. It worked on Jay, it should work on Tyler.
"This whole confidence thing you taught me has really put things to perspective, Tyler." She got up as he did too but she didn't take his proffered hand. She wasn't going to go with him, not in front of these girls. "A classroom, Tyler? Really?" she walked around the table heading for the exit. She could hear the collective sigh of relief and smug looks on the other girls' faces as she was leaving. They really thought they were going to get a shot with Tyler Durnham. She felt bad that she was toying with their emotions.
"Just because you're interested in me, doesn't mean I'm interested in getting lunch with you." She smirked before fully turning to head out of the canteen, making sure she had his full attention of her back. She waved to a few people who were waving at her, no use trying to be a complete bitch in the process of changing. She could still be the old friendly Lexi while being confident...she wasn't about to lose herself.
She didn't turn to see if Tyler had given up or was chasing her down, afraid it might give away her whole charade.

Just a hint of surprise crossed Tyler’s face as Lexi ignored the offered hand. Every other girl around them, admiring him, would have taken it without a moment’s hesitation, yet all the brunette did was glance at it for a fraction of a second, and nothing else. Another girl who wanted to play hard to get. He sure knew how to pick them lately, it seemed. The footballer was almost tempted to give up and turn his attention instead to one of the nearby women, knowing he wouldn’t have to put in any effort and whoever the lucky woman was, she’d do anything he wanted, just happy to be with him. But, he just couldn’t bring himself to give in. He knew the girl wanted him, he was Tyler Durnham of course. And he was sure he could make her reconsider resisting him for too much longer.
He grinned at her comment, watching as she walked away from him, his eyes glued to her ass, and the nice way it jiggled when she walked. She had all his attention now, whether she knew it or not. But if she wanted to resist, he wouldn’t just go overboard in pursuing her, no, not when he was certain that was what she wanted. He would play this cool, she would fold regardless, and he had dignity to keep intact.
So he waited until she was completely out of his sight before starting to follow, this time oblivious to the groans of the nearby girls as he left them behind and made his way out of the cafeteria. She walked slower than him, so it didn’t take long for him to catch up. That was what she wanted anyway.
“Yes, a classroom.” he murmured in Lexi’s ear as he reached her, resting a hand against the small of her back in an intimate move he hoped she wasn’t expecting. He liked taking a girl by surprise, unnerving her. “If I get the pleasure of dining with you, well, I want you all to myself.” Tyler made sure she could feel his breath on her neck as he spoke, and was sure he felt her shiver at the contact.
“Even if you’re not keen on having lunch with me, humour me, just this once. Consider it your act of charity for the day.” he laughed softly, gently guiding her around the next corner, where they saw a completely clueless looking pizza delivery guy. “Perfect timing, I’ll be right back.” He smiled, jogging towards the guy, and a few moments later he returned, a pizza box in tow. “So, have I managed to convince you beautiful?” he asked, glancing over at a nearby classroom.

Just like clockwork, Lexi could hear the groans coming from the girls as Tyler's hand slid down to her back. She closed her eyes and stopped walking. The tingling sensation she felt at the back of her neck and in her ear made her blow out a sigh. Good God, she was getting turned on by all this. That wouldn't do. It would make Tyler know he'd gotten her exactly where he'd wanted her in the first place.
As they started moving around the corner, she turned to look at Tyler sideways. "Act of charity?" She raised an eyebrow. "What, talking to you in the cafeteria wasn't enough?" Chuckling, she nodded slightly when he went to pay the delivery guy. When he came back with his question, she gave a look of contemplation before sighing exasperatedly. "I guess I could spare some more time for you." Shrugging, she followed him to the classroom. "Since it's for charity and all." She continued.
"Besides...can't let the pizza go to waste. I know you jocks like to keep your figure and all," she said nonchalantly. Once they were in a class, Lexi checked to see if the windows could open. She was getting a bit hot under her hoodie even with the rain pouring outside. She should have taken her parka from Jay. Figuring there wouldn't be too much harm in it, she unzipped her hoodie and tied it around her waist, pushing her hair back with a scrunchie from her pocket. She turned to Tyler and raised her eyebrow. "Come on...cough up the pizza cheapskate." She teased.

A smug grin played across Tyler’s lips at Lexi’s reaction to him, pleased that she couldn’t hide the sigh. He really shouldn’t have doubted the effect he had on her, she was female after all, and he’d long since known of the effect he had on the fairer sex in general. He almost considered amping up his efforts even further out here in the hall, maybe brush his lips over her neck in a move to make her question if it had been accidental or not, but in the end he decided against it. She might try to fool him into thinking she was this confident woman, but he could see through her act, at least, he believed he could, and he didn’t think she’d be so comfortable with him making a move in public like this. He’d have to wait for a bit of privacy first.
“Well, talking to me back there, allowing yourself to be seen with me, was very generous, I’ll admit. But no, it wasn’t quite enough.” He laughed even louder as she agreed, flashing her a grin that had been known to make women swoon. “Why, thank you Lexi. So you’re as kind as you are beautiful. Interesting.” If the girl continued to play her cards right like this, he might just be persuaded to ask her out next week, for an even more intimate encounter.
“Generous again. Yes, we do like to, but only because we know you women enjoy the results.” he teased, aware of how good he looked. And he worked hard to make sure he stayed that way, so Tyler felt he deserved every bit of admiration he received. Once in the classroom, he watched her move to fuss around with the windows, and so he took the opportunity to close the door, locking it for good measure. He didn’t want any interruptions.
He turned back just in time to watch Lexi pull off her hoodie and he smiled at the sight, admiring her further. How Mew could turn down the girl, if that was the case, was completely beyond him. He could have nearly any girl he wanted in the school, and he wanted Lexi. He didn’t know how Mew, who surely didn’t have a chance with any other worthwhile girl, could knock her back. He must be gay, that was the only explanation.
“Cheapskate? Very well then.” Tyler chuckled, taking a few steps towards her before holding the box just out of reach. “I’m a cheapskate, fine. I’ll hand it over, but I want you to pay for your fair share. And I want that by a kiss.” He could tell by her expression she hadn’t been expecting him to make a play for that, this soon anyway, but it amused it all the more and made him more keen. He took another step towards her, placing the pizza box on the desk behind her as he kept her pinned. And before she could pull away, or offer her check instead, he pressed his lips to hers in a very soft, but slow, kiss. Eventually he pulled away with a smile, taking a small step back. “Help yourself to the pizza.”

Lexi had to admit that she was having fun with this back and forth foreplay they were having. She was even more excited about the fact that she was getting Tyler Durnham to flirt back with her. I mean sure, he would flirt with anything in a skirt granted but hey...if Tyler was giving her the time of day, she must be doing something right.
"You're ever so welcome, Tyler. You are as corny as you are charming." She smirked at him with ease. She was starting to get the hang of this whole dance attractive girls and boys seem to easily get into in those cliched teenage movies. She didn't know why she was afraid to do this a long time ago. She would have gotten over Mew faster than this. She was actually starting to wonder what made her like Mew so much in the first place. Sure he was handsome and sweet and kind and...Alexia Danica Dashwood-Dune!! You're making progress! Stop wasting your time thinking about what cannot be!
Scratching her nose a bit, not even realising Tyler was approaching her, Lexi froze when Tyler asked for the kiss. Shit, she thought to herself. When was the last time she kissed a boy? Oh right, she chuckled nervously to herself. Nev...oh crap. She of course had never kissed a boy before. The only kisses she doled out were for close relatives and even those were pecks on the cheeks! Holy Batmobile. What was she supposed to-
Tyler's lips had already descended upon hers even before she even knew what was going on. She didn't even realise that Tyler had managed to pin her against the desk behind her. The kiss was amazingly short-lived. Just as it started and just as Lexi was about to respond, Tyler had pulled away and given her permission to have the pizza.
Confidence could only get you so far, it didn't exactly prepare you for your first kiss. Damn it...Tyler stole her first kiss and she didn't even get to participate in it! Wow...she just had her first kiss. With Tyler Durnham no less! And nobody was around to see it. What did they say about the duck and its quack?
Huffing, she grabbed Tyler's shirt and pulled him down for another kiss, one that she wasn't even sure she was doing right. With only movies as her guide to giving out the perfect fireworks display kiss, Lexi tilted her head and slid her arms around Tyler's neck, pushing herself to the tips of her toes and clung on to him. This wasn't exactly what she had imagined a perfect fireworks display kiss would feel like but it kinda felt awesome.
And of course it had to end so she could you know...breathe. So she pulled away and slid on to the desk behind her, slightly breathless as she wiped her lips with her thumb. "I can't believe you stole my first kiss. You fiend." She tried to lighten the mood by punching Tyler's arms jokingly. Although she had a swimmer's built and a punch from her could hurt at least a little on a normal human being, Tyler was a jock, a footballer no less so it probably didn't even feel a thing. "Damn you kiss stealer."

Now, Tyler had been around women long enough to know that when you kissed a woman and she didn’t kiss you back, the reason was most likely one of two things. Either the girl was surprised, or she really didn’t want you to kiss her. He was very familiar with the former, he rather enjoyed taking his current interest by surprise with a kiss. It had been a strategy that worked very well for him so far.
The later was something he had no experience with. Every female he’d ever kissed had wanted to be kissed by him. He was Tyler Durnham after all, not some run of the mill, average, teenage boy. But Lexi, he was starting to wonder if he’d just broken his lucky streak. She certainly seemed surprised, and he normally would have taken that as a good sign if it had been only that, but he wasn’t quite so used to being stared at. Not after kissing a girl anyway. More kissing usually followed, or a smile at least, something other than a blank expression. She hadn’t slapped him yet though, and if the kiss had been unwanted, he would have figured a slap was in order. But the kiss couldn’t have been unwarranted, she had been flirting with him all through lunch. He’d known women to tease and play hard to get, but she was taking things a bit too far, if that was the case.
But it became apparent rather quickly that his all too soon worrying was unnecessary, and the girl had a reaction like so many women before her. On a great number of those occasions he hadn’t enjoyed it as much as he was now, quickly wrapping his arms around her waist as he felt her own around his neck. A soft moan escaped his lips as he tilted his neck as best as he could to accommodate her height. Lexi, well, she certainly wasn’t bad at this. Not bad at all.
He released his hold on her as he felt Lexi pull away, and a smile, a very genuine smile, graced him. This was certainly much better than eating in the cafeteria, thank God for the rain. He might have to make more of a habit of staying at school for lunch. Then it was her turn to surprise him, but rather than stare, he just smiled all the more. Her first kiss? She wasn’t that much younger than him, and sure, she might not run in the popular crowds, but she was pretty cute. He was sure that at least some other guy had to have taken an interest before. Obviously not, it seemed. Not that he minded, Tyler actually enjoyed it, the knowledge that any future kisses will be judged against his own performance, and he knew he’d done fairly well. And of course, his mind starting drifting on what other firsts he could be to her. He’d certainly enjoy them all.
All that confidence seemed, well, not broken, slightly cracked perhaps, and he guessed it partly a front to gain his attention. It worked perfectly. Again, not that he minded. He thought of it as him being chased, and he liked that on occasion. At her punch, surprising strong for what she looked like, he laughed and stepped closer to her, pushing her legs apart playfully where she sat on the desk so he could stand between them, the pizza long forgotten.
“Fiend, kiss stealer...yes, guilty as charged.” he chuckled, sliding his tongue over his lips. “I really am dreadful when it comes to that, you see, there is no stopping me. And now that the truth is out, I suppose, I might just steal another.” At the height she was now, on the desk, he barely had to tilt his head before his lips were on hers. Cupping one cheek with his hand, and resting the other on Lexi’s hip, he indulged in that kiss, and another, and then just for good measure, another after all. “You know, you really are very good at that, for having just started.” he murmured against her lips, always ready to compliment a woman. “I must admit, I’m rather glad you...accidentally bumped into me in the cafeteria.” He kept both hands on her as he spoke, his lips just inches away. She certainly seemed like she was enjoying it, so he saw no reason to stop.

Her eyes went to Tyler's lips, they were red and his tongue peeked out and then she felt hazy. Must be the oxygen leaving her while she stopped breathing during the kiss. With Tyler squeezed in between her legs, Lexi's hands moved to grab his shirt.
His lips were getting closer and closer until they were a breath apart. She wanted to shut him up because she couldn't even understand anything coming out of his mouth. If only she could persuade him to stop talking... And then he started kissing her. Again. And again. And again after that. He probably did the fourth one for good measure. All good...one possibly better than the one before.
Things then came crashing down on her. She was Lexi Dashwood-Dune. One of the best swimmers on the team. Nerd advocate and lover of all things RPG. And she was kissing Tyler freaking Durnham?? This had to be an alternate universe. It couldn't be real. She had to stop this. Whatever this was. Who was she kidding? What if Anderson found out? Worst...what if Wynn found out?? She would never forgive herself if Wynn found out about her and Tyler and Jay.
Damn it...who was she kidding? The whole school probably saw her leaving, followed by Tyler. Goddammit why did she have such a huge guilty conscience? She should kill it before it destroys her whole mind. It wasn't the time to become morally correct. Being with Tyler and then with Jay, it was to prove a point to herself. She's not a pushover. She's not going to be a doormat to anyone. Not anymore.
She needed this...whatever this was. She looked back up and gave Tyler a genuine smile. Tipping forward, she captured Tyler's lips once more in a quick but soft kiss. "So am I," she said, not sure if that was genuine or not. She slid off the table and turned to look at the pizza box. This was getting a little too serious, even for her. So she opened the box and tore a slice of pizza and bit into it. "Mmm..." she moaned, actually enjoying the pizza. Emotions just don't need to detroy one's appetite, she thought to herself. Grinning up at Tyler, she walked to the door and unlocked it, puzzled. When did Tyler lock it?
"Thanks for the pizza." She held her hand with the pizza up and waved it at him. "Put them in a doggy bag and leave it at my locker will you? Thanks a bunch, doll face." She winked and exited the classroom with a grin on her face. No one was around. Thank God. She enjoyed her pizza till the last bite, possibly the most perfect pizza she had ever eaten.

The girl was certainly getting into this, more than Tyler would have first guessed when she approached him a few weeks ago for advice on how to pick up that red-headed nerd. Now, if this didn’t help boost her profile, and her confidence, he really didn’t know what would. He wasn’t deaf to gossip, he rather enjoyed being talked about, and he was well that if this got out, even in rumours, it could only improve her reputation. And she could happily forget about Mew, quite a few guys would be after her if they thought she was good enough for Tyler to be interested. Really, he was so good, doing all these public services for the fairer sex. But the act, as Lexi was proving, was all the reward he needed.
Then just as he started to ponder his chances of moving things on a bit from just these kisses when she pulled away, smiling. Now, he knew, just from that one look, he’d been doing his job right, and she proved it more by another kiss. And then moving away? That had been unexpected, and he watched silently as she started in on the pizza.
“You’re more than welcome.” Tyler dismissed, watching with a bemused expression as she asked him to leave the rest at her locker. And he’d been called many things in his life, but he was sure, he’d never been called doll face before. When she left the room, he remained staring for just a moment longer before laughing, grabbing a slice of pizza himself. He wasn’t quite sure just what had happened.
Wrapped!
