Ze Viki Mistress has aspoken!
I think that's awesome. I agree with Owen that anything below a hundred is pretty dank. I love getting long replies, so sue me >.< Especially when I write like about...seven wicked awesome paras and then my reply is two lines of four paras...booorrinng -.-

Ah, I don't want us to devolve into one liners, either. I don't think we will, though. That's why I wanted to know what level of reciprocity individuals expect. :3 So if you write 600 words and you want your partner to get at least to 500, then no harm in saying so! I figured this gives a little flexibility in regards to how much people write, you know? So if you like writing long posts and you want long posts in return, people will know. And people who don't mind as much don't have to write as much (because I know I'm not good at enforcing! I don't know how to enforce the word count without banning, and I don't want to ban over that. So if I'm not enforcing it, why have the rule?)

We aren't going to degenerate into one liners just because we don't have a word minimum. We all actually write. It's as I said earlier, the word min is ridiculous. It's not enforced, and this makes the game more customizable to each individual. look at this as natural evolution of a game. wekre saying we trust you enough to write without the "training wheels".

I agree - its not enforced but being a seriously busy person I honestly get a tad frustrated when I write a reasonable (I hope!) post and get a short response. It makes me wonder why I bother. I lost my 'training wheels' like 30 years ago.
Either be enthusiastic or move on - its fine with me either way and there's no chance what so ever I would feel badly. I can't be bothered LOL!

I will still do around 200 or more post lenghts. If i am ever under 200 it will only be 15 or ten words. And I don't want liners back but something I can reply to but they can make it any lenght that they want with no compliants from me as long as it is good which I know eveyrone here does fantastic post :-).

Well, I'll stop being lazy and weigh in. lol. I'm happy with the general consensus, a minimum of 150 words at least, when posting with me. But if I go out all awesomely and write up a big post, I'd like people to at least try replying with something decent themselves, at least give me something to reply to, though you don't have to try to match me. I mean, come on people, no one can compare to me.

Oh, so for those of you who miss the word count, my husband suggested that people state a desired word count at the beginning of each thread they begin. So anyone who replies will know what the original poster hopes for in their replies, and if you just don't have much time and just want something quick you can create a thread with a shorter word count.
Anyway, what does everyone think of that idea?
