It didn't take long for Lexi to realise that the spinning she was experiencing was not her room but her head. After the small accident yesterday morning with Anderson, she kept getting little headaches. The doctor said neither of them were badly injured and there were no internal bleeding or whatever so to Lexi, that meant they were fine. So what's with the headache?
Sighing, she wished something had happened to her. Something that could make her skip school or something. Anderson had been pretty pissed after they were both given a clean bill of health. She didn't know if it was because of her defending Hunt or because his handsome face now had a bandage where the glass cut deep into his temple. Either way, Lexi wasn't sure if she wanted to call him again for a ride to school. She'll just have to take the bus. As always.
It didn't help that yesterday's thunderstorm had continued to this morning. She grabbed her oldest hoodie and a slick parka to wear over that before heading out to the bus stop where she took a bus down to the pier to get something to eat. She was grateful for the lone hotdog stand that was open come rain or shine and she got a dog with the works and a bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice before heading to school.
She headed straight to the cafeteria and was glad that it was empty. Pulling up a chair, Lexi got into her food, munching away silently. The silence made her think of Anderson's expression when he saw her walking from Hunt's apartment. It was of unmasked disappointment. And then the things that were said in the car. And after the trip to the hospital, nothing. He had said nothing to her before driving off. She didn't have a leave of absence from school but she didn't go anyway.
Anderson had never been this angry with her before. And she had never been this effected by someone's behaviour before. She stopped chewing her food and swallowed, not able to stomach any more of her favourite food. Chewing instead on her lower lip, she pulled one leg up to rest on the bench and she pressed her chin on her folded up knee, staring at nothing in particular.

Jay had the most unusual encounter with Xavier yesterday. He chalked it up to the kid being his one too many times. Maybe he needed to be in an SLD class or comething. Who knows. Jay had gone to the God and Goddess party, it had not failed to disappoint. Now Jay was at school. He was being a good guy. Kind of. Jay was always up to something. This time he was rather early to school. Why...cause he had a plan. The plan was to break into DJ's locker and plant some naked pictures of a woman Jay had met a few nights ago. She had easily agreed to pose nude for this very reason.
Jay knew where the locker was, It was near his sisters. Breaking in was the hard part. So he had to charm someone from the office to give him the combo he had lost. It did not go so easily, but in the end Jay got the combo and placed the pics inside. Then he sent a text to his sister to check her boyfriends locker at lunch and that her boyfriend had a secret.
Jay was smiling on his way back when he noticed a lovely woman sitting all alone. No woman should ever sit alone, so of course Jay being the gentleman he was, he walked into the cafeteria and took a seat across from the girl. He sat with the chair backwards so he could lean his arms against the back of the chair.
"Why the long face. Its a shame for you to have that look on such a pretty face." Jay said with a smile, "I'm Jay and I couldn't help seeing you look so sad. Anything I can do to help? I am a good listener." Among other things but Jay kept that to himself.

Lexi cringed when she heard a voice beside her. She looked up and saw Jayson Michaels, one of the reputed bad boys of Silver High School. What was he doing talking to a Gould junior like her? She chalked it up to him being extremely lost. But then he was smiling and talking to her and introducing himself. She winced when he said she had a pretty face. Why was he wasting his time with a nobody like her?
He's a good listener? Yeah, that's what she needed. Someone to judge her like Anderson did. Ugh, why was she still thinking about Anderson? Stop it. Hm...maybe she should take up on Wynn's offer from before. They could meet up. Then she would stop thinking about Anderson too much. Stop thinking about Anderson!
Biting her lower lip, she looked up at Jay. Maybe she didn't have to look too far for Wynn. Jay was right in front of her. She still remembered what Tyler had told her from before. Taking a subtle deep breath, Lexi gave Jay a little smile. "Guess the right person hasn't come along to make me smile." Goodness gracious she sounded cheesy.
She scooted over to him and leaned forward a bit. "You want to help?" she asked. Patting his hand, Lexi leaned even closer to whisper in his ear. "Stop being so cheesy."

"Ouch...this girl has a bite. Come on those were my best lines." Jay said smiling. "So if you don't like cheesy what do you like." Jay did not even attempt to pull away. This girl was rather interesting. One of the first women ever to pat him on the head and get away with it, but it was mostly cause she had a little bit of feisty in her and he liked that. Jay smiled at her. "Now as far as making you smile....I might be able to help with that." He said in a smooth tone.
Jay was a cocky guy and thought his moves worked on everyone. it usually did, but there were a few girls who required a different approach and he was not beyond changing his tactics. Besides he liked a challenge. "So what is making you frown anyway?" Jay wondered. He really did hate seeing a girl frown. "When i want to smile I tend to play music. Not that I am any good. I can only play like Mary had a little lamb, but I try. And if you tell anyone I said that, I will deny it." Jay cracked a small smile.
He was semi being honest and semi still hitting on her. The Mary had a little lamb was true. It's all he could pretty much play, but he would deny it if she ever told anyone. Besides this girl seemed to like honesty. Or so he hoped. He still had yet to get her first name.

Wow, it actually worked. Tyler's advice on confidence actually worked. Which was a tad surprising since her confidence had been shaky as of late. Really shaky. This guy had an effect on her, but probably not the kind he expected. She suddenly felt brave...daring, something she didn't feel when she wanted to pursue Bartholomew Fischer. It was something about the bad boy charm that made it just that more irresistable to Lexi. If Anderson could see this, he'd kill himself just to roll over in his grave for her.
"You wanna know what I like?" Lexi asked with a raised eyebrow. "I'd like it if you left me alone." She challenged Jay. She sat up straighter in her seat, pulling back her hoodie and taking off her parka. She was left in her tight ratty hoodie that concealed a rather revealing tank top. She wasn't going to go any further than the parka but Jay could see she had a rocking body.
He didn't seem to want to back off as he continued his interrogation. So he probably had nothing to do so early in the morning before classes started. The sentimental albeit cute revelation he shared didn't really win her over. Or at least she didn't want to admit it did. She hid the smile that was bursting to come out. Jay was incredibly hot, his eyes were smouldering and the smile he gave made her insides do a jive.
What was it that Tyler told her to do once she got his attention? Right. Ask him out. It was simple. Especially since Jay was the exact opposite of Mew. Jay promised danger and mystery. Maybe that was exactly what she needed. She had begun with falling for the good guy and that didn't work. And then she tried her luck with a good friend. Yeah, that turned out pretty. Maybe what she needed was exactly what Jay represented.
"You know what would make me smile?" she completely avoided his question, trying another tactic that might work. "If you could plan out a day that doesn't involve us lazing around and then once you have that day planned out, ask me out." the words streaming out of her mouth didn't really sound like her. She was nice and sweet! This girl was kind...freaky. But Jay liked them freaky, didn't he?
"What do you say?"

"Lucky for me, i have never been good with doing what I am told." He gave her a lopsided grin. In other words he was not about to leave a girl as challenging as this alone. She was fun and he liked it. Or rather she seemed like fun. Jay's eyes caught the sight of her body and roamed over it. She was not bad looking at all. He liked what he saw. Then again Jay
"Quite the little charmer aren't you. Sounds as if you are talking me into asking you out. " Jay commented smiling at her, "How about Saturday evening. I know I could plan a fun day that you won't soon forget." He said to her. Hell he already had lots of ideas running through his mind. Of course he would have to take away the R rated ones and leave it PG, or PG 13 at least. "What do you say?" He asked her.
It was a change. Most girls never had the guts to tell a guy to think of something them come find them, but Jay liked it. This girl was cute, sweet, and Jay would bet innocent, but that wouldn't stop him. He liked her confidence. So Jay would definitely plan one hell of a day. He took pride in showing a girl a good time. Lexi would be no different, "Of course it would be easier if I got your name and number." He said to her. He wondered if she even noticed she hadn't even given him her name.
Of course she could be doing that on purpose. Maybe he might have to guess or find it out. He was sure he could do that. It would not be easy, but if this girl was feisty like this on the date, it would be worth it. Jay liked feisty and innocent. I amide things interesting having to work to impress a girl. it had been a while since he had too do that.

Grimacing a little at how well things were going with her and Jay, she wondered how she was going to conduct herself with him on this fun filled date. This confidence thing was easy. Why didn't she have the same way of operating when it was Mew? Most probably because he would just look at her weird and continue talking to Maggy. Jay must have had several other experiences with girls who weirded him out so Lexi reckoned Mew would doubly have those kinds of encounters. Then why was it so easy for Bree Marcus to...oh right. She was Bree Marcus.
Lexi continued the facade she was putting up for Jay and raised an eyebrow at him. She would have thought Jay would just give up by now but apparently he actually liked how she was acting. Anderson or even Wynn might either reprimand her or think she's not worth his time. Psh. What did they know about anything? Lexi was done with good guys. She didn't want to be sweet and innocent anymore. It hadn't worked out for her the past sixteen years. It's not going to start now.
"This isn't charades. If it looks like I'm telling you to ask me out in the future, it usually means that's the case." She replied, looking slightly more confident with the alternate ego she suddenly found. She didn't even know where the words were coming from! Adopting a bored expression on her face, something she would never purposely pull in front of people she encountered, she looked at Jay under heavy lidded eyes.
"Don't count your chickens before they hatch, Jay." She sardonically applied. "I don't need to be disappointed again this week," it was funny, she would have thought saying something like that would entail her looking depressed but right now, new Lexi said it with a wry smile and a raised eyebrow. If she didn't already know herself, she would have thought this girl was completely bad ass. A small part of her was screaming idiotically moronic but...who wanted to listen to that loser?
Of course, old Lexi would have introduced herself immediately after the greeting but this Lexi just stared at Jay. "You really think I'd just tell you my name? Honey, you gotta work for it." A smile appeared on her face before she got up and grabbed her trash. So the old Lexi was still there. Good to know the trash throwing girl was still in there somewhere, trying to save the environment one rubbish at a time. "I'm on the swim team, if it helps any." She threw over her shoulder, deliberately forgetting her parka just to see what Jay was going to do with it.
Wow, Dash had done a 180...

Damn this girl had a bDamit. The bored expression, the whole charades bit, had Jay going. He loved it. She was challenging him to no end and all Jay could do was smile and enjoy it, "You will not be disappointed this weekend. I never disappoint." He winked. He truly didn't. One thing Jay was good as was thinking on his feet. If he thought for one second she was getting bored on a date he would change the plans instantly. Jay had a way of doing that. He took pride in not only showing a woman a good time, but making sure they wanted more.
"As for the charades. Next time I will skip the game and just ask you out. Trust me there will be a next time." He said confidently. Jay had a feeling he was going to enjoy any weekend or date he had with this girl. Of course he had no idea this was all for her, for show. To Jay this was the real woman and he liked it. She was going to be a ton of fun in his mind. He could not wait.
"Work for your name. I don't see a problem with that. Gives me and you something to look forward to on Saturday." The game was on. He would find out her name and he would not rest until he did so. This weekend was looking up. For a moment his fued with DJ was forgotten. Jay had something else to focus on. Something else to spend his time on. He would make sure and dedicate a lot of time to making sure this girl knew just who she was dealing with.
He caught up to her easily, "Saving the planet on piece of trash at a time." He smiled noticing her actually throw away the trash, versus most people who threw and didn't care where it landed, "So exactly what do I have to do to find out your name from your lips? It could go to someone else." He said to her. "By the way, I have your parka." He showed her the piece of clothing he had.

"You talk a big talk for someone who doesn't even know what I like," Lexi said calmly without even a smile. She of course didn't know what Jay was capable of but according to movies, this usually worked; the whole cold bitch bit. It may not have the same effect on people when she did it but still...it wouldn't hurt to be done. Even if Jay didn't fall for it, at least Lexi would be rid of him.
...But no. He was still on her case. This was the first time a guy dogged her steps wanting to take her out on a date. And he just arrogantly confirmed there would be a next date. Lexi of course was thrilled. She had never been pursued before. Especially not by someone as unbelievably good looking albeit a player like Jayson Michaels. A second date would be a miracle if she actually survived the first one!
The laugh that came when he mentioned both of them looking forward to Saturday was of course, like everything else she had been doing, a show. The old Lexi was jumping to get ready for Saturday. Which reminded her, what the hell was she going to wear? She didn't have anything fit for a date! Oh no. For a moment, a look of panic crossed her face but she looked at Jay and gave him a smirk.
"Speak for yourself, Jay." She referred to his previous statement. "For all you know, if you can't find out my name by tomorrow, I won't even be your weekend date." Lexi's words surprised even herself. It was a drastic change from her normal upbeat self. And to think, Bartholomew Fischer was the one who ruined her for all guys.
His words rang through her head, like he had read her mind. She stopped and turned to Jay with a raised eyebrow. "Someone has to do it. Can't really depend on bad asses like you to clean up your own messes, right?" Some of what she said rang true to her old self as an environmentalist and also as this new girl who ate guys like Jay for breakfast.
"Think of me as Rumpelstiltskin. Instead of an ugly gnome disappearing when you finally get my name, me in all my full glory will appear in your arms and make you look good?" She mentally laughed at herself for her comparison to her situation as the ugly sneaky and manipulative gnome-like creature in fairy tales. When he handed over her parka, she smiled lightly.
"Keep it." She turned to walk away. She threw another glance over her shoulder like those girls in movies often did. "Maybe you'll find your Cinderella by tomorrow with that." With a raised eyebrow, Lexi walked out of the canteen with her heart beating against her rib cage. She couldn't believe she actually managed to do that without losing her composure. Take that Mew Fischer!
...
She mentally slapped herself for thinking bad about Mew and went to her first class for the day.

"Thats the point and the fun of taking a risk. I am risking the chance of getting the date wrong, but just from what I have gathered, you might not be easily impressed, but I don't like easy." Jay told her. He was excited about this. If she did not like the date (fat chance of that) then he would try harder and it would just make this game even more worth it. he was persistent and never accepted a girl being unhappy with him. Jay did not like blows to his ego like that, which was the fun part of the game.
"You are full of challenges this morning aren't you. i will have your name. first and last and i might even have a nick name for you too." Jay said. He would not let that sway him in the least bit. Jay would make sure he got her name. "Just be ready by Saturday afternoon. " He told her. What about her address. Well that was not good. "We can meet at the school. Unless you want to hand over your address." He tried. Even if it failed it was worth a shot.
"I like things messy." He smirked at her, "If this is not you in your full glory then I cannot wait till tomorrow afternoon. I have a feeling it will be one hell of an afternoon." He told her. This little game she was playing would make the date even better. Now all Jay had to worry about was getting her name. "Can I get a hint...even Rumple gave one to the lady." He smiled at her.
"Maybe thats your nickname. Cinderella. It fits you. See you tomorrow." Jay winked as he watched her walk away. Her nice little ass swaying before his eyes. She did look good and jay was ecstatic to have this date. His blood was boiling and his heart pumping. This weekend was looking to be very, very nice.
Wrapped...awesome thread Nu...i loved it.
