"Itching, eh?" Christophe laughed as he headed off to get their drinks... but not before throwing Lia a smile.
The long table was strewn with all kinds of drinks with the French boy - belatedly - realising he hadn't asked either Kian or Lia what they would like. A selection was in order and he poured one glass of coke, another of lemonade and a third with peach flavoured water. Hopefully that would be a good enough choice. If not? Well it would be simple to make a return trip to the table.
He stopped briefly to talk to a girl he knew vaguely from school. Her name had escaped him but her face was familiar. Amongst the sea of strangers anyone even remotely known was welcomed with open arms and as he returned to Lia and Kian Christophe found himself wondering how soon they would be able to escape.
'Not soon enough,' he thought to himself when he heard Lia laugh at something Kian had just said. She was, after all, having too much fun for Christophe to even contemplate asking her when they could leave.
"You choose first, Llyria," he said. "Coke, lemonade or pwater with peach...?"

Lia grinned and took the lamonade. "Mmmm I love lemonade, she said as she took a sip. It was spiked, but still delicious. Kian wasn't sure what pwater was so he took the coke. "Thanks Tof! he said with a grin and saluted him with the drink.A taste confirmed it was virgin, which was fine with Kian.

That left Christophe with the peach flavoured water... He had to admit it was his least favourite of the three but no way would he tell the others that. He sipped it slightly, knowing he'd be tipping it into the nearest plant pot as soon as he could. "So, how long have you known each other?" he asked, glancing around for that elusive plant pot.
His phobe warbled from somewhere beneath his toga and he threw Lia an apologetic look. "A moment," he said. At least he could leave his drink on a side table and with good reason.
He plonked it down on his way out. It was far too noisy to try and talk on his phone from inside the room.
His mother.
"Salut, maman… est quelque chose mal?" He listened carefully, glad to know nothing was, in fact, wrong. "Some milk and a lof of bread. Anything else? Tomatoes. Wait, I should write this down." On what? He didn't have anything on him. A quick dart back inside saw him grab a paper serviette and borrow a pen.
"Ok... milk, bread, tomatoes. Is that it?" Christophe added a couple more items to the 'shopping list'. "I can get them on the way back after I take Llyria home. No, its not a problem, maman." he knew of a convenience store that stayed open until late.
The call ended and Chsristophe leaned against the wall, allowing the breeze to cool his warm face. With so many people in there it was getting hotter by the second. A couple of 'goddesses' emerged from the building, laughing together over something that had amusd them. Everyone was having so much fun... so why wasn't he?
Probably because he was still very much the stranger in town. Hopefully time would see that change.
And fast.
He drew in a deep breath and headed back inside, the shopping list - plus phone - neatly stored away beneath his toga.

Lia greeted Christphe upon his return with a kiss tasting of lemonade and rum. "Is everything okay?"she asked, worrying."I know you're not having the best time. We can go spend time on the beach instead if you wan to." Cuddled into the sand and kissing Chistophw sounded lovely to her.Not to mention swimming in the moonlight.

He smiled down at Lia. "It was nothing. My maman wants me to pick up some groceries after I drop you off at your home. I admit I wondered if something had happened, too, but... " Christophe threw her a smile. "Panic is over, eh?"
He scanned the room to see if anyone else had turned up that he recognised, only to be disappointed. "Kian left?" he asked, spotting his friend across the room with Connor. "But no, We are fine to stay for as long as you like. We can always go to the beach later... or another time if the evening vanishes." He knew she was having fun and that meant he in turn would also enjoy himself. "So what is this party in aid of? Is it Haley's birthday or just one being held for the hell of it?"
Perhaps if he knew more about their hostess then he would stop feeling so much like an outsider. Their cool reception hadn't helped and only served to reinforce that feeling. Perhaps they didn't really belong within this group of people... Maybe... Maybe not... but at least they were trying, right? And besides, he'd never fit in if he didn't mix with the other students.

"My mother would say this was an attempt to flex her popularity muscles. Making people jump through hoops," Lia said for she was sure the party wasn't for a birthday or any thing as there wasn't a present in sight."The cheerleaders have their own reasons for doing things." lia did he best not to sound disapproving.

Haley had decided to make some rounds around the house, greeting and meeting people. She was the hostess after all. It was proper and polite, besides she had a mission and that was to find Cam, whom so far no one had seen. She was sure to find him later, when most of the people left and the after party began. She noticed two people she had met earlier. Chris and Lia. The ones who seemed to scare away Sarah.
Haley was walking over when she over heard what Lia had to say. Now Haley was a little drunk. Just buzzed. Nothing too bad, in fact she could act sober if she wanted, but this was a party and she was having fun. However, she could just not say anything. She kind of felt insulted at her own party. Of course Haley was not a bitch like Trixie or Sarah, so she didn't want to be mean about it.
"I couldn't help over hear, and your assumption would be very wrong." Haley said. "No one jumped through any hoops to be here and I don't need to flex my popularity. I threw this party cause it seemed like a good way to bring Gould and Silver together for a fun time. Bree and Tyler helped me set this up." Haley told her. "I get what you are saying, believe me...I will be the first to admit cheerleaders tend to have their own reasons for doing things...but for me..given what happened last month, I thought a party to bring Silver and Gould together, in silly costumes was a good idea." Haley told her, she was being genuine and sweet, not mean or cruel at all. If anything Haley came across as being hurt by what Lia said.
"I am sorry if you are not having fun. Sarah has a tendency to be a bit on the looking down her nose side of things, as do a few other people around her." She told them. "I assure you not everyone is like that. " She told both Chris and Lia. But she could not force people to have fun, so what ever. If they wanted to complain so be it, but at least they could not say she did not try and attempt to talk to them. Haley was not a mean girl. She was a nice girl, and she said not blame Lia for what she said at all. Haley knew how the popular crowd could be, she warned Cam about it. Still she was not about to feel dissed in her own home.
(OOC: Sorry I felt the need to jump in. I figured it would be interesting to have Haley over hear it..besides i need her in more then one thread, so it looks like she is making her rounds. If you want her out of the thread then you can pretend she left after what she had to say)

(OOC: heck no! I think its great she overheard ;P)
Christophe listened to Lia's reply, confused by what she said. Not a birthday party so it was one just for fun. That was fine as far as he was concerned. After all, what better reason was there for a party? Other than a birthday, of course! "Jump through hoops? I'm not sure I underst..."
He broke off when Haley spoke and he turned to face her. She'd clearly overheard Lia's comment and was equally clearly upset by them. Christophe honestly couldn't blame her for that. It had sounded a bit harsh, even to him. "It does indeed seem to be bringing the two schools together," he replied, striving to soothe any troubled waters. "And we are both having a lot of fun." A tiny white lie on his part but it was an acceptable one, he felt. "It would be even better if I knew more people but... maybe by the time the party is over that situation will have been remedied."
He looked around at the other revellers. "As for the others... I would say they are all having a fun time too. You should be commended for putting on such a good evening. You and the others. Bree? The girl over there with the red hair? I haven't yet had a chance to speak to her but I will ensure I do before the evening is over."
The situation felt mildly tense to him and he couldn't help but feel he was playing the role of mediator.
